@@alejandrocardenas214 I wish that was an option, but sadly it isn't for me since I didn't buy the game from a retailer, but a guy who was selling it on Facebook marketplace for really cheap, in almost unbelievable condition for the price. I got this game a while back on my PS4 and it worked just fine with no issues. Fast-forward a couple months, and my PS4 gets the blue light of death. I decided to pick up a PS5 to replace my 4 since most of my stuff could still work on the PS5, but for some reason RDR2 -The game I looked forward to playing the most- didn't work and had this error.
Not a direct one, more of a suggestion. They recommended I test the CD out on a PlayStation 4 yet which I am yet to do. I don't really have any friends with one as of yet so I'll just have to wait till I do.
update; tried it on a playstation four and no change in result. decided to order a new disc which is arriving in a few days. will update in the form of a comment on whether it's a console or disc issue.

I think the best way to solve this issue is by downloading the digital version of the game, but I already spent so much money on this smh
