Who is James Taylor???? Perhaps one of the greatest singer song-writers of the past 50 years. You should listen to ALL of his tunes. Beautiful tunes.
Who's JT??? Do you realis the number of people who were named after him??? TAYLOR SWIFT TAYLOR BROOKS Garth's daughter) just to start
Hello, pish posh poppycock.
@ericdurak4918 You understand. Hale fellow, well met!
Not everyone’s as old as you or I Eric, and James Taylor’s songs are not frequently played on air anymore. I’m sure you don’t know all the popular artists listened to today, and neither do I.
You are correct - my son knows all of the latest tunes. I do not. Love your station - love your reactions. Keep up the good work. For my opinion, the 70s may have been the greatest decade for music in history - so far.
Carol King's "Tapestry " album was a chart monster for what seemed like forever.
My mom had Tapestry. Her playing it on the turn table was a favorite childhood memory.
Everyone's sister wore out an LP of Tapestry in the 70s.
I grew up with my mom listening to Tapestry
Yep I bougth that album when I was in college.
I used to drive a taxi - told a few hundred college gals to get the Tapestry Album: a mantra for the joys & pains of womanhood.
She actually wrote this in response to one of James Taylors songs "Fire and rain" when he says verse "Seems that somedays I could not find a friend..." (or something like that) This was Carole Kings response to that.
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
Fire and Rain is a masterpiece.
Wow. I did not know that
You need to react to James Taylor's "Fire and Rain". Epic.
Agreed. Especially since you are religious.
Agreed. I can still remember where I was abducted what I was doing when I heard Fire and Rain for the first time. I was 15 at the time and knew instantly that he would be a superstar. It’s a truly amazing song about the death of a girl he had met while in rehab due to his heroine addiction.
You have to react to fire and rain. This song is a reaction to that. Also Carols "Tapestry" album is in my top ten of all time. Ask Google for a list of her songs. You will be amazed
specifically from Fire And Rain "I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend"
Carol wrote this song TO James Taylor in reaction to his song Fire &Rain (which he wrote about a girlfriend who died from an OD in the US while he was in England recording his first album at Apple studios).
Carole King won the songwriting Grammy in 1971 for this song.
You would be AMAZED at the number of hits she wrote
You can get 40 reactions out of Carole's and James's deep and amazing catalogs of hits. Lyrical superstars.
James Taylor’s “Sweet Baby James” is a great soothing song 🎶
"Sweet Baby James" is one of my go-to lullaby's. It's so easy to sing and so sweet-sounding.
Ohhhh, Yessss! Sigh.... 😊
And he wrote it for his baby nephew, who was named for him. ❤️
When I drive the mass turnpike, sweet baby james is on blast!
That’s Leland Sklar on Bass Guitar. Everybody loves him.
I just bought his "Everybody Loves Me" book a week ago. Fun.
I just noticed him and was going to say that as well.
And he's playing 'Frankenstein' !
Leland is such a treasure!
I didn't recognize him without a white beard lol.
Discovered by the Beatles. His career spans 6 decades. Now, he performs with his son. "Fire and Rain" is his signature.
Carol King is one of a kind. She started off a songwriter in the 60's, and had to be persuaded to sing her own music , which she started to do in the 70's. Her album ' Tapestry ' was a true work of art!
Many consider it a masterpiece.
Best!
Every human being in the world should own Tapestry!
He also has a brother Livingston Taylor who was a musician as well. He's very similar type of music. Carole King was a writer for years until she was finally convinced to perform and her album Tapestry was the number 1 selling album for decades.
Songwriter of the 70’s.
James Taylor is on the same level as Carol King.
James song “Fire & Rain” is a must hear! It’s his story of struggling with addiction and the loss of a dear friend to suicide.
Every girl born between 1945 and 1960 had Carol's album, Tapestry. It was even more basic than "Meet The Beatles"! If the only song Carol wrote was "Will You Still Love Tomorrow", she would still be deserving of all her awards!!
You like sweetness? Listen to his "Shower the People". Amazing! And your kids can listen! James Vernon Taylor (born March 12, 1948) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. A six-time Grammy Award winner, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.[5]
You have to watch Aretha Franklin singing “Natural Woman” to honor Carole King at her Kennedy Center Honors awards ceremony. I’m a 53 year old male and that one got to me! 👊🏼
Carole King has made 25 solo albums, the most successful being Tapestry, which held the record for most weeks at No. 1 by a female artist for more than 20 years. Her record sales were estimated at more than 75 million copies worldwide. She has won four Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. She has been inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as a performer and songwriter. She is the recipient of the 2013 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, the first woman to be so honoured. One of the most successful female songwriters of the latter half of the 20th century in the US, she wrote or co-wrote 118 pop hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Peace out.
1:56 It would be more accurate to say that Carole composed "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" - her then husband Gerry Goffin was the lyricist.
Carole (music) and Gerry (lyrics) were a songwriting team prior to their divorce and her solo career. Gerry wrote the lyrics for "Will You Love Me Tomorrow"
Carole wrote this song in response to James' "Fire and Rain"
Carol King in my humble opinion is the greatest female songwriter of all time and she and James Taylor I believe are still friends. Absolute legends in their own right. Carol’s album “tapestry” is one of the greatest albums of all time! Loved your reaction! Take care and warmest wishes from the UK.
Gentle warmth and kindness IS James Taylor. 😊❤
James Taylor took his guitar to Lewiston, Me. and sang the Star Spangled Banner at the local football game after the tragic shooting last year. Who does that? James Taylor does that. That is the kind of guy he is.
According to Taylor, Carole King told him that this song was a response to his 1970 hit Fire and Rain
Fire and Rain was about a a friend who had some kind of mental disorder (probably bi-polar) her patents had her committed to a mental institution because they couldn't control her, she committed suicide.
@@dalemurray1318 And James was in London, recording an album. He wasn't told of her death until after he was done, after she had already been buried. How heart wrenching. 💔
James and Carole were and are the real deal. Carole wrote the song, but let James release his guitar version before her piano version released. James was the first artist signed by the label created by the Beatles, Apple Records.
And, those were dark days for James. He was using back then. Thank goodness, he sobered up, and,( hopefully), has a good, healthy, happy life
Yes, this song was directed at James Taylor by Carol King. He was a heroin addict and she was trying to get through to him.
She wrote the song specifically for her friend, James Taylor. She is in both Halls of Fame as a singer and songwriter. And yes James Taylor is HOF TOO
two of the most talented people ever in any genre of music
girl, i'm 70 years old and enjoying your page. listening to your comments made me reflect and actually cry just thinking about my 40 and 50 year friendships that i still have. keep doing what you do
Ok, 2 things. James Taylor = Classic Artist, A Must. Carol King # 1 cut for me…” So Far Away”… the way she belts this one out is like a tattered blanket from childhood, a longing lamentation, if you will, give it a reaction, please…standing by!
You need to react James Taylor and Carly Simon mockingbird
why?
Please no. I'm a big fan of both of them, but that is just about the most annoying song I ever heard.
It's a fun song. I believe they were married at the time and just wanted to do a fun duet at a concert. It's not sensational or life-changing, but it is cute.
@@theamazingfreak Probably something The Captain and Tennielle passed on.
And yes, Britt, Carole King is one of the best songwriters, ever.
Nobody better than Taylor. And in concert he is perfect.
Fun facts: Apparently the song was inspired by a line in James Taylor's song Fire and Rain - "I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend."
Carole King and James Taylor each recorded the song during overlapping session, with Taylor performing on King's version
Carole King version:
Carole King - piano, vocals
David Campbell - viola
Terry King - cello
Danny "Kootch" Kortchmar - conga
Charles Larkey - string bass
Barry Socher - violin
James Taylor - acoustic guitar
James Taylor version:
James Taylor - vocals, acoustic guitar
Joni Mitchell - backing vocals
Danny Kortchmar - acoustic guitar, congas
Leland Sklar - bass guitar
Russ Kunkel - drums, congas, cabasa
Carole King is one of my generation's finest singer songwriters, and her album, Tapestry, is one of the greatest albums of all time.
Carole is one the most prodigious song writers of the 50's/60's/70's/80's. She spent the first decade of her career (late-50's to late-60's) writing songs for other artists before she launched her singing career with her Tapestry album, which is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and google Songs written by Carole King - you will be amazed.
You will love his " Sweet Baby James". Honestly, most of James Taylor's songs are easy listening.
Little trivia fact for you Britt. Taylor Swift's parents were / are great James Taylor fans, and (yes) they named their daughter after him. My guess is that there were plenty of James Taylor's melodic songs and story-telling lyrics heard around the house while daughter Taylor was progressing through her 'pre-production' stages. 🙂 Seriously, somebody influenced her for sure, to be able to write similarly melodic and storytelling songs from such a young age. There's a concert clip on UA-cam where she invites James Taylor onstage to sing a duet.. Way cool bridge across a generation gap. BTW, I'm still loving watching you react to music from my youth, especially discovering artists for your first time, that have been the soundtrack to pretty much my entire life - I'm 76 now.
Tapestry is one the greatest albums ever. A number a great songs.
Carole King & James Taylor are both master singer songwriters. James wrote a song called Fire & Rain which was a big hit. A personal song that talked about the suicide of a dear friend and his struggle with heroin addiction. It contained the line "I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend" & Carole essentially wrote You've Got A Friend in response to that! Check out Fire & Rain and may I also heavily recommend a wonderful song James wrote called Shower The People I guarantee you will love it. In particular check out this live performance ua-cam.com/video/GfJWqjoekow/v-deo.html it is truly magical!
Carol King was a part of the Brill songwriting sound. She has been inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In fact Taylor Swift gave the speech inducting Carol as a solo artist in 2021.
My son's family name is James and we called him Taylor when he was born. I would put my headphones on my tummy and play him rock a bye sweet baby james...you should check that one out too.
Oh baby, James Taylor is just amazing. Such sweet uplifting music. You’ve probably heard some of his music and just don’t know it. Some you may have heard are
How Sweet it Is
Steamroller
Fire and Rain
I have two friends like this and I am for them. Our parents all knew each other before we were born. We are now 57, and still talk and check on each other. And with my illness, when time comes, they'll be there for my husband, children and grandchildren.
This makes you feel warm and fuzzy. "Fire and Rain" will tear your heart out.
The guy with the beard playing bass here is Leland Sklar. He is one of the most prolific studio musicians ever. He’s played on something like 2000 albums. He played with and toured with James Taylor, Phil Collins, Toto, and others. He’s 76 years old and still plays and has a UA-cam page, and has a long white beard which I’m trying to match.
Taylor Swift gave the induction speech when Carol King was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It was one of the best inductions of heard. Carol King is a Legend for sure.
Immediate tears here! Brings me back to high school,1971,and my best friend,Deb. We used to sing this song!At a time when I felt quite unlovable, along came this girl who loved me anyway and reflected the light,I didn’t know I had, back to me. Life and marriage took her far away from me physically, but she was always one of those wonderful, precious old friends who ,as you said,Britt,I could not talk to in too long a time, yet when we DID speak,it was as if no time had passed! I always felt Deb’s friendship was further proof that God loved me! Deb died a few years ago and guess what? When we finally DO get to meet again,I know it will once again be as if no time has passed! I truly
look forward to that day!❤️💔❤️
Hi! Your comment made me tear up! So glad you had such a beautiful friend! I’m sure she is watching over you! Peace and Blessings to you and yours from Australia.
So touched by your story. Deb was obviously a beautiful person. The greater the gift the greater the loss! Take care!
@@wendyryder2708 thank you so much! Peace and Blessings to you, too!❤️
@@martinstubbs7974 thank you so much! I’m so very thankful for the memories we made!❤️
Will always have a special place for Tapestry...in 1971, our parents sent me and my 3 siblings back to El Salvador for a year (they were concerned about money and the turbulent times) ...waiting at the gate at SFO, Tapestry was playing somewhere, I don't know where...but my 7-year-old ears funneled the sounds into my young memory.
When we landed in San Salvador, walking through the terminal, I heard it again. The same album was playing. It felt like a message to me that everything was going to be alright. Thanks Carol.
I’m 44 and these were “oldies” when I was growing up, but it’s still the music I listen to. Today’s music lacks heart and soul to me.
Carol King's "Tapestry" album was on the charts for 5 years. A record in that time. For me every song on the album was a gem. The only album I could say that about. A while ago there was a musical on Broadway called "Beautiful" about Carol. It was phenomenal.
Yep, every single song on tapestry was masterful.
Any James Taylor song added to your reactions would be awesome!
I grew up in the tail end of the James Taylor era, and for me there are few voices in the world that give me more comfort than his. Kind and gentle are wonderful descriptions of his voice. He himself is a brilliant songwriter, I highly encourage you to check out more of his stuff ❤❤
My mom's best friend moved away, across the state and I caught her in the living room, holding my James Taylor record, listening to this song, tears dripping off of her chin.
Carol started as a songwriter in NY. Her best friend was Neil Sedaka. She was very insecure about singing her own music until Sedaka convinced her to try. The rest ,as they say, is history.
I saw James Taylor in concert not too long ago. There was no opening act, just James Taylor. He did a 3 hour show without a break and it was just like he was sitting in your living room. It was an incredible show.
If it were ever possible to put 'perfection' into a song, its performance and, finally, its delivery - this is it...
You will enjoy most everything James Taylor does. On the roof, Fire and Rain, Copper line, Carolina on my mind, Sweet baby James, How sweet it is, Something in the way she moves. Just some of his greats.
The Carpenters were friends of Carole's and covered her 1971 song, "It's Going To Take Some Time". Carole King is a national treasure.
Her entire album "Tapestry" is outstanding.
James & Carole were friends from touring. He wrote the huge hit Fire and Rain after he heard of a childhood friend’s suicide. One line is,there were times when I could not find a friend, but I always thought I would she you again. She wrote this for him. She had already recorded it for her album Tapestry, but told him to go ahead and record it & release it before her album came out. It ended up being one of his biggest hits.. they remain great friends to this day
At 63 years old, i can say, WITHOUT ANY DOUBT, had the GREATEST " Soundtrack" for our lives
Yup.
Without a doubt.
If you're in your 60s or 70s today, you had the GREATEST soundtrack.
Shine on.
The James Taylor rabbit hole is amazing. Start with Fire and Rain but don’t stop there. So much amazing music.
It is nice to watch another person discover James Taylor singing and show his talent. You like Carol King...many of us did. She was a prolific talented songwriter. This song and the two artists King and Taylor were both popular in the 1960s and 1970s. Peace
Carol is a songwriting force of nature. She was a professional songwriter, working as a team with her husband Gerry Goffin in the Brill Building in New York which was 'songwriting central' at that time, before she released her album Tapestry and became a performing artist. And if you have not seen Aretha Franklin perform Natural Woman at The Kennedy Center Honors for Carol KIng, you absolutely OWE IT TO YOURSELF TO SEE IT! It was one of Aretha's last public performances, and she absolutely blew the roof off the place! The only thing in that video as good as Aretha's singing is Carol's amazed reaction!
Me and wife been married 38 years. We are 60. This is her very favorite, #1, artist in existence. Introduced by her brother, I think, listening to her listening to him , didn’t take long to start to dig this dude. So I took her to see him few years back. He must’ve been 70 something. Ended up being in our top 5 best concerts as a couple. She loves him and I guess I do too.
People DO undervalue friendship. When I say I only have four friends people think it's sad when in fact most of their "friends" are merely acquaintances. If I walk in my house to find you sitting in my chair, watching my TV and drinking my beer and the only thing I ask is "what's on TV?" you're my friend. If we both walk in and my kids and my dog are equally excited to see both of us you're my friend. My friends have seen me through times I wouldn't wish on anyone and I'll spend the rest of my days trying to do the same for them. Like most people I have thousands of acquaintances and lots of "buddies", but only four treasured friends.
Carole King is perhaps the best songwriter of the last 60 years. Carole started out writing songs for other artists such as Natual Women for Arthera Franklin. Carole enjoyed that type of work she was shy and never thought she had a voice people wanted to listen to.
One night when Carole and James Taylor were performing together Taylor introduced a set by saying I'm going to play guitar for Carole as she sings this song she just wrote.. So Carole was forced to overcome her shyness and belt out the tune.. Taylor and King have been friends for over 60 years and have performed together countless times.
Carole King's songs you'd probably enjoy are: "It's Too Late", "So Far Away", "Smackwater Jack", and "Will You Love Me Tomorrow". After that listen to her "Tapestry Album, 55 years later it still holds up as one of the finest albums ever produced. Then you can go down the rabbit hole of songs she wrote that were popularized as covers.
After that delve into James Taylor when I went to high school in the 1970s every girl had a crush on Taylor his voice just made them melt. Taylor's songs are" "Fire and Rain", "Your Smiling Face", "Handy Man", "Carolina In My Mind", and "How Sweet It Is".
After that maybe Carly Simon and James singing "Mockingbird". That will set you up for the Carley Simon rabbit hole she was Taylor's wife for a while and like King, she is a brilliant singer-songwriter. Her most famous songs are probably "You're So Vain", "Anticipation", and "That's the Way I've Always Heard It Should Be"..
Anyhow back in the Taylor, King, and Simon were folk-rock royalty.. Between them, they owned the airwaves..
My son & I used to sing this together when he was a teen. I taught him to sing harmony in the car on the commute to his school. Good times, sweet memories.
Carol King is in the rock and roll hall of fame and the song writers hall of fame.
Yes, my daughter grew up listening to king, Taylor, and Jim Croce. I was a single parent, so I wanted her listening to this stuff instead of the spice girls or Modana or the rest of them.
There is no one more comforting than James Taylor. So many wonderful songs and his voice continues to carry all
That warmth to envelop you. For your children please include “Sweet Baby James” and “You Can Close your Eyes” “Shower The People”… “The Secret
of Life” is a personal favorite that I try to live by. But James does have his dark side… “Fire And Rain” is his song of loss and despair that Carole king wrote this one to in response. By the way, her version on “Tapestry” is different in style but just as heartfelt as all her singing. James was her friend always. He was married to Carly Simon- you must check out their live performance of “Mockingbird” to see them together for a lively fun duet. James also has upbeat and rocking tunes like “Steamroller Blues” and sweet serenades of love like “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight” and “If I keep My Heart Out Of Sight”- he was with Joni Mitchell for a short time before Carly and their collaborations are just
Wonderful. He’s a very highly regarded guitarist that you
Can recognize his fills and runs and back up signing on Joni’s “Blue” album. They also sang together on his cover of Carole King/ Gerry Goffin “Will You Love Me
Tomorrow? And James covers their song “Up On The Roof”(The Drifters original recording) so memorably. Gospel? : “That Lonesome Road”. Truly the best is like any of these
Singer songwriters-
Put on their whole albums- Joni, James, Carole, Laura Nyro (you will LOVE her), Paul Simon( duo with Garfunkel and solo), Cat Stevens, etc. they fill your ears, heart and soul by just listening. JT (he is the original JT and yes mam he was a panty dropper for sure) has been touring this past year with Jackson Brown, another one of those great singer/ songwriters of that era who shared musicians and back up singers together. Linda Ronstadt too, although she is a master of making great
Songs by other wonderful songwriters become her own as you have already discovered. A bit of a stretch for you would be Randy Newman- she recoded a couple
Of his songs and his wry humor and astute irony is widely admired from the same time period. Tim Buckley too. We were so blessed these were
Our artists to grow up with as young people. And at the same time Motown! Beatles! Etc…
Carole wrote this in response to the pain in Jame's Fire and Rain song. What a beautiful story.
Reminds me of my friend. We were always there for each other. One time I called him at 4am and he drove miles to pick me up and drive me home. He died last year at 27 and I miss him every day.
Carole King is on piano. She wrote the song and gave it to JT after she heard his heart wrenching Fire and Rain. ❤
You gotta watch Aretha singing Natural Woman live to honor Carole at the Kennedy Center! She even made the Obamas cry!
This is a MUST 😊
Watch the Kennedy Center Honors for Carol King
Carol King wrote this for him as a comforting response to his Fire and Rain. In the 1960’s she and then husband Gerry Goffin wrote many pop standards. She also wrote Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow among others. Another inspiration song to check out is Simon and Garfunkel:Bridge over Troubled Waters. A great song for your children I Hope you Dance by Lee Ann Womack
James Taylor is someone to listen to, he doesn't disappoint.
Carole had such an amazing career (and personal life) that they made her life into a Broadway musical called “Beautiful”. If you want a great sample plate of all the songs Carole has helped to create, you should watch the Kennedy Center Honors where she was a recipient.
I went to a James Taylor concert a few years ago. The man can still sing. Fantastic night.
Me too!...Allentown Pennsylvania with Bonnie Raiit, couldn't believe l was breathing the same air as JT!
I've seen James Taylor in concert twice and he was wonderful. Very unpretentious and hugely talented. He was married to Carly Simon a long time ago, and they a had a couple of kids. I was sad when they split up. He's a really soulful guy.
Britt, you just ooze wonderful. You are undoubtedly a great wife, mother and friend. 💯
I was just thinking the same thing, Jim. Well said.
Completely agree
@@carrieflood4265 Great minds huh?

I’m 62yrs old and love your content!!! You have a genuine way of putting things. James Taylor and Jackson Brown were part of the “Mellow Mafia.”
Carol King: her carreer span is from early 60s do wop until now. Neil Sedaka wrote "Hey Carol" to her. James Taylor has been her friend for 50+ years. Her album, Tapestry, is one of the greatest albums of all time. It was perfectly fit for the time it was written. I remember that EVERYONE had a copy because, well. . . It was just THAT GOOD. She is one of those nice people who just love what they do and do it as well as it can be done.
I went to a concert with James Taylor and Carole King TOGETHER at the Hollywood Bowl several years ago. So wonderful!
Carol King was a superb singer/songwriter in her own right.
His song Fire And Rain is amazing. I love your reactions.
Oh yeah! You NEED to hear more James Taylor! A true class act!
Carole King is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as BOTH a SONGWRITER and a PERFORMER.
Yes! Her induction a couple of years ago was a great watch. Taylor Swift gave the first induction speech. So good, I love seeing the videos that they create for the inductees, you learn so much.
Carol King was walking down the street in New York City and passed a record producer she knew. He waved as he passed by then stopped and called to her. Carol write me a song for Aretha. Something about a Natural Women. That’s how one of my favorite songs of all times was born.
Carol King's "Tapestry" is one of the all-time great albums!!!
James Taylor wrote Fire and Rain after hearing of the suicide of a friend of his. Carol King wrote You Got a Friend.
Hey Britt, GREAT reaction, wonderful!!
I met Carole King once. Very sweet, modest, a very dear woman. To think that she didn’t like her soul-stirring voice for so long!!!
Now you must her masterpiece: Tapestry.
Thank you!!!🌈
Carole and Gerry Goffin (her writing partner) also wrote, Up On The Roof, a tune she wrote for The Drifters, circa 1962ish. It was a big hit then and worth a listen now.
James Taylor also had a hit with his version of that song.
Carole King was a professional composer since the early sixties and - with her then-husband Jerry Goffin - provided a string of hits to a lot of artists. So at the time she composed "You've Got a Friend", she was already a "veteran" in the music industry (although she was only 29 then).
James is my hero. Such a wonderful pure voice and he's come back from such horrific problems with addiction. He and Carole have been friends forever and he gave her her start by forcing her to get up on stage and perform her own songs. She was a famous songwriter along with her 1st husband before that. My favourite is Sweet Baby James, but I also love the song that got him signed Something in the Way She Moves.
I’ve been listening to James Taylor since first discovering him in 1970. That’s 54 years of pure happiness anytime I hear a James! Pick any song from his extensive catalog. You simply can not go wrong. He wrote many many songs but also cover great ones by other like Carol. Try Up on The Roof. You will love it ….guaranteed.
These are the emotional songs of our young lives, back in the day. These were seriously composed masterpieces, worthy of serious regard. Remember, we lived through this. We know the song, the artist, the composer, the instrumentalists, we already know the song’s meaning…it tears me up today, in recognition of the era, and how long this song gem has been loved by us. Remember that when you are joking around about such a masterpiece. Will we know you in 50 years?
If you look at the clips of Taylor Swift she had him on stage with her .Her mothers favorite singer was James Taylor and thats why she was named that.
Dive deeper into Carol. "Tapestry" has nothing but hits. One of the most popular albums of all time.
Something in the Way She Moves from James Taylor is absolutely an amazing song
If you want to see true friendship, watch the 2015 Kennedy Center tribute to Carole King for lifetime achievement. She was the last person to be honored that night and she had already gone through so many emotions when suddenly an old friend showed up on stage. It was Aretha Franklin who had been sick for a while with an undisclosed illness (later revealed to be cancer), but she was not going to miss her friend's big night. She sits down at the piano and belts out Natural Woman like it was 1967 Aretha when she recorded this song. There is not a dry eye in the house, including President Obama.
