Those were medium well....need to use internal meat thermometer and you can't go wrong. IMO best way to cook steaks on the Weber kettle is to keep flipping them forget indirect you can't go wrong....just keep flipping them!!
Another really good trick is to wrap them in foil after getting a char on both sides. You lose some of the hardness on the crust but it’s a really good way to make sure they aren’t dry and great for resting too
Too much oil, dude. All you need is a dollop about the size of a nickel, and brush it. Then, sear at 400-500 degrees, two minutes per side. Transfer to the cool side for the final two minutes, let 'em rest another three, and it's restaurant quality medium rare!
Reverse sear them. Put them on the cold side. Throw a chunk of oak on the hot side. Put the lid on vent over the steak. Bring it to 120. Then seer it on the hot side. You're welcome.......
People can cook their steak on hot rocks for all I care, everyone has different methods to reach the same goal which is cooking a good tasting steak. But why do you pour oil over it!? I have never seasoned meat to a point where it “falls” off or I feel it needs oil….
At first I thought this was joke about everything wrong about cooking a steak and I was waiting fot the punchline. Then reality struck and it was not funny anymore, it was very sad instead. A moment of silent for anyome who followed anything in this video and took a bite of their dissapointment
Looks well done to me
Maedium well. There is some pink. But definitely not medium rare

Looks tough
Dagggg, yall just went in on dude with his steak cooking skills😂
Medium well. Get yourself a slow n sear grate and use the cold grate technique.
Get a slow n sear and grill grate attachment and youre golden.
how big is the grill are you cooking on ?
Seems like a decent cook, but the crust is lacking. Would definitely recommend the slow N sear.
Agreed
Nice video 💪🏼🍺😎

You only seasoned one side of your steaks? 🤔
That's medium rare??
“All you need is salt and pepper” season the damn steak white boi
Not enough char for an over done steak. Maybe bring them up to room temp next time. And you don't need oil if the grate is oiled and clean.
um my brother only way to eat a good cow steak is med rare brother trust me its better
Reverse sear them.
Put them on the cold side. Throw a chunk of oak on the hot side. Put the lid on vent over the steak. Bring it to 120. Then seer it on the hot side.
You're welcome.......
🤮🤮🤮
I reverse sear to about 90. Anything higher than that gets too well-done after searing. 😩
@Ryan-dc6lj how? Either you are searing too long or your temp is 1000 degrees lol
@@mangualc idk man 😅 must be searing too long. No crust otherwise
@@Ryan-dc6ljI think it’s supposed to be 1 minute each side on direct heat
Okay in his defense he did say 130 IF you are going for medium rare. Maybe he wasn’t 🤷♂️
I hate resting steak. I like my steak hot.

That's not a good sear on those steaks
Skip the seed oil next time

Salt and pepper hell nah I forgot I black
I agree with the process but that's not medium rare…
#goahead
That is not med rare
That isn’t even close to medium rare
Don't oil the steaks!
Oil 😳😳🤦♂️🤦♂️
This guy butchered those steaks.
Horrible method. Steaks look horrible. Reverse sear is a way better method.
charcoal chimney is BS
What you suggest otherwise? It just helps the charcoal heat up faster lmfao
@@v464x Yeah It just burns out too fast ... need to put more in. But I put a layer on fresh coal on top ... that did pretty well
@@J-nd9ub yeah you don’t want to just rely on the coals you put in the chimney. Definitely add more to sustain it
