Hi Dears, today I come to you with my honest and not sponsored opinion on LilySilk products (mostly silk blouses) which I all bought myself. As the Black Friday sales are approaching they promote a lot so I wanted to share my thoughts as a person which was influenced to but their products. I share my experience and lilysilk pros and cons :)
I suggest using influeners' discount codes for example Sophie Sohet or Mel in Melbourne and taking advantage of their multiple sales! LilySilk blouses are really good if you like this king od aesthetics :)

While I know that quality silk satin is something to behold, I ordered two pillow cases from LilySilk as a romantic "couple's present" for Valentine's Day, based upon all the LilySilk hype. Once they were hand washed and dried, it turns out that they were scratchy and not as nice as our existing cotton sateen pillow cases. They were also noisy whey we lay down on them and they made our heads too hot! My husband immediately wanted his old pillow case back and I said that I felt the same way. I tried to return the pillow cases to LilySilk but they initially refused to even check to see if they were defective. Ultimately they allowed me to send them to their "silk expert" in London who sent pictures back showing big smear marks and stains that were not on the pillow cases when I sent them. We'd only put our heads on them for about 10 minutes and we certainly did not rub the floor or something with them. I have now referred the case to my credit card company due to the apparently false claims in their advertising and their poor customer service. Buyer beware!
I’m so sorry to hear that you had such a horrible experience! This is really bad! I personally didn’t have problems with my things from them and washed sleeping masks several times… the stains can come from detergent not being fully rinse off (or getting wet during transport?) but anyway it shouldn’t happen! And they shouldn’t make a deal out of a refund of a couple of pillowcases.. thank you for sharing your experience, it’s always good to know the good and the bad as both surely happen!
You're supposed to use a special silk soap or shampoo to wash silk. And no dryer. Either you didn't do that or it wasn't pure silk or silk at all.
@@marydidyouknow5826 Hi Mary! Yes, I know. I used special silk wash specifically for hand washing silk items and hung the pillowcases out to dry. It seems that the pillowcases I received from LilySilk were not good quality silk or not silk at all... My credit card company had to arbitrate and force them to give me my money back....
I have lily silk pillow cases and they are so soft never noisy they are the best I’ve ever had in terms of sheets etc

I ordered a sweater and followed the sizing recommendations. It was humongous on me. Now I’m going through a long process of exchanging the sweater. It’s beautiful and very soft, but if I don’t get the size right this time I will probably just return and not order from them again. Customer service has been in frequent communication via email, but I’m waiting until they get confirmation from the warehouse that my return has been received before they will send the new size. Maybe I’m spoiled by Amazon who processes returns and exchanges as soon as they get a notice of shipment. I was also annoyed that it says it’s a US company, but it ships from China. I think I sent my return to California.

I liked their products, but I was surprised that they don't have warehouses in germany and ship directly from china. Also if you have to return something it's not that easy and you have to pay for it. I wish I knew that before I ordered two sizes of an expensive dress. It's quite a hassle. And an other thing I noticed is that the clothes come completely wrinkled. It's really awkward to receive a 250 euro dress that looks like that. But I suppose it keeps operating costs down. I really like the concept of a silk only store though.
And helpful to see the clothes from Lilysilk on a curvy woman.

I agree with the cons you’ve mentioned. Unsure of colours as I havent yet purchased anything. But the short cuffs, design esp nightgowns camis can be made sexier,colours can change or add. Some items i am about to buy for officewear so classic works. Hopefully i like
Love your honest review. I love Lily silk as they also cater to women of all sizes apart from having the most amazing silk. Yes the colours are slightly different possibly due to the computer settings. Nice video. I shared some of their tops on my channel too:)

I agree with you on the colours. I ordered a French Blue blouse, which looked pretty on line but which turned out to be more gun-metal grey. I was so disappointed. But I still buy from LilySilk and like what I have, and the company is good to do business with. When I complained about the colour which disappointed me so much, their customer services reacted very quickly and awarded me extra points. I was impressed, and mollified.

Hi! You are so right in regards of the colors, I was looking for a kind or pinkish red, hot pink something like that and I could not find anything, I wanted an emerald green and again is not the right shade of emerald, other than black or red I could not find anything appealing, so I´m sticking to the bonnet for the hair and a pair of gloves. A taupe, different shades of greens and blues would be lovely! I agree with the cuff design, is too....meh. Thanks for sharing! New subbie.

The dusty pink is best for you because you are a soft summer - muted, soft palette looks best for your skin tone and hair. The other colours you have are very rich and vibrant which suits people who are in the winter season (Katy Perry/ Lupita); it is not anyone’s fault and it’s not about being fashionable or trendy. You are right that you wanted dusty colours because the colour simply is harmonious with your natural undertone overall.

This is a good video. I just purchased a blouse and yes it is good quality blouse just basic looking but yea so much better for the environment and for our skin.

I agree with you that a lot of their items are classic and a bit outdated. However I noticed that the last two years they have expended their collection with more trendier items. A bit annoying is that everybody seems to own them.. 😉

I didn’t noticed staining underarm but I live in a cool climate so it’s not harsh on my clothes. I try to use deodorant some time before I put my clothes on so it’s dry. Also I avoid washing all my clothes too often - and because I live in cold climate this is possible ;)
Regarding washing my garments I’m lazy but careful, meaning I don’t do hand washing but will use gentle cycle like hand wash or wool program and for silk I haven’t bought a special detergent for silks (want to get it at some point actually) but I used the one I have for wool on my silks AND I use detergents very VERY sparingly! And add an extra rinse with all my washing (it’s possible to set it up on my washing machine as permanent step so no need to add it every time).
I don’t put silks to dryer and take them out of washing machine quickly after it’s done to avoid heavy creasing. I ironed them at rather high temperatures (but increasing temp. step by step) but honestly I prefer steamer if I can.
I actually find Lilysilk rather thick and resistant material (the regular ones not sure about sheer blouses) so I’m getting less careful with them but to start I recommend being careful and test things out because it also depends on water and the washing machine. I hope it helps!

Hi J :) the best what I have seen is their offer “get one and the second is 40% off” which in case of items which are the same price gives you 20% discount on both. So not that great but influencers’ codes work on top of that which is 12-15% and I obviously use them too. If you are returning client you can also use your pints from previous purchases. Basically their strategy is the more you buy the more discount you get. They also sometimes have 10, 20$ off when spending more all offers could be used together so it really comes to making you spent money to get things cheaper. And I see they are upping their prices too.. thank you for watching! 😘

I actually find that the material is extremely thin. Also, please don’t confuse satin and silk, satin is a general term for a shiny material, it can be made of anything: silk, viscose, polyester, or a mixture. So you might want to distinguish between silk and synthetic material.
Oh really? Would you call silk satin?? I thought that satin is only for synthetic shiny materials.

My Lilysilk Amalfi stripe shirt doesn’t feel as nice as my Sezane or Equipment silk shirts. Do you think it’s real silk?
Hi :) I think it’s real silk and they say on their website about thickness and as far I understand they use thicker silk so it’s more hardwearing. I haven’t tried the other brands so unfortunately I can’t compare.

I think it's probably real but the cheap kind. Definitely not the velvety soft I know from good quality silk.

I have ordered a knit jumper from lilysilk, and it is very sketchy that the shipment is coming from China. I mean no shame to Chinese made products. But the company is based in America and they are not that cheap. Then why would you sell something made in China.
Actually I knew that this is Asian company (can’t remember if it was Chinese, I thought some other country from this area) and I knew they shop from China but it seems like that try to appear as US company from what you have said (and I think I’ve seen someone’s else comment before on this topic) and well, having warehouses in America makes sense to me but kind of pretending that are form US it’s not… unless they have changed the headquarters legally, I have no idea but when I first time bought from them I did make a quick research and I they were based in Asia.

Because China has good quality stuff as well, depends how much you pay, same everywhere in the world, you can't get too quality stuff by paying peanuts. Regardless which country it is made . If the product is good, what is wrong of made in China ? Apple, Tesla, Lenovo, Microsoft , all made in China.
I know that and China has technology to make some things better than others! What upsets people (I think) is when companies charge a lot of money and/or pretend western luxury brands while they use Asian countries to manufacture cheap…

If you consider yourself a luxury products company, then at least get your products shipped to your warehouse where your company is based and then ship it to customers. Otherwise why would I want to pay them so much money. I could have got it from some Chinese retailer directly. I don’t want to pay £100 to a drop shipping company.

What size are you wearing?
Hello 😊 Tops? Most often L or if I want an oversized look I go for XL. I think their very classic, basic designs might be about smaller then the ones which for example Mel designed. Good luck, I hope it helps!
I just bought a 25 momme pillowcase. Disappointed, do not believe the hype. This is not the nice velvety good quality silk but the cheap kind, kinda like the sofa pillowcases from cheap stores in cheap silk. Scratchy and not very soft at all. Waste of money. 😩

Hell no ! Very cheap made you can tell in the price ! If you want gorgeous silk buy from Veronica beard , cinq de sept , reformation , danijo the sei I buy my stuff when it’s clearance $500-1000 items for $150-200/300 ish

I like your posts and find them useful. I have had three orders, recently, as a newcomer to Lilysilk., but have yet to receive any discount. When I attempt to apply for one, and enter the code, I am told it is invalid, even for my first order. I am awaiting an explanation from LS because if their offers, which feature heavily in their advertising, are never valid it's a bit naughty.
However, I like what I've had and have been thinking about the white, striped blouse with the small collar which you have praised, too.
