So this looks like the 5591 I just received and am now going to have to ship back. I ordered it with the M.2 256GB PCIe NVMe with tech support saying I would also be able to move and add my Samsung 1TB SSD from my other computer to it. After 4 hours on Saturday the computer and phone it was determined we were correct in discovering you can have the M.2 or the SSD HD but not both. There is not slot or place to pug the additional SSD to. Called as instructed today to request a return label and spent 2 hours being routed to 5 people, the last who argued he could help me add it even though tech on Saturday finally determined you can not have both. Very disappointed in DELL
Hi mate, thanks for watching, i understand your discontent, but it's general trend , to solder all the parts to motherboard to put only one m.2 slot for storage, SATA SSD will soon disappear will be only NVMe , more faster devices. It's part of the evolution of the computers. You don't need to carry big laptop with many storage on it if you have at home some wifi or usb storage bank for 10TB, just slim & compact laptop with basic storage on it.
You CAN have both...just gotta think outside the box, or rather...outside the SSD's housing. If you remove the actual housing on the 2.5" SSD, you'll see that the actual hard drive is just a chip that's less than half the size of the 2.5" SSD rectangular housing. get a SATA cable and connect it to the motherboard. You'll have to get clever on how you will attach it to the 2.5" SSD bay in the laptop. I used some heavy duty 3M hook & loop tape. just a small strip on the SATA connector (not on the actual chip). Then I put a thick thermal pad underneath (on the other side) to prevent it from wiggling around. You'll see what I mean if you give it a try. The SSD chip stays stationary. ow I have the extra storage I need. Just make sure the SATA ports are enabled in the BIOS setup.
Two questions -- what is the size of WWAN port? (2242 or 2230?) And is it physycally possible to have 2.5" SATA and 2280 drives installed ? I am wondering about multi-disk storage options here.
Hi, WWAN port is 2242, About 2.5" SATA, you must buy some additional cable for it, if it's actually exist, or to choose a laptop already with NVMe+SATA. But in this laptop there is only one slot for M.2 and that's all.
Thanks for watching mate, I think it's a good laptop for home to storage your photos or to watch videos, But if you need to carry it everyday to work or to study, I would not recommend it, cuz it's a little bit heavy
Greetings. According to Dell website this laptop can hold up: SSD M.2 2280 SATA: up to 512GB, OPAL SED options SSD M.2 2280 PCIe/NVMe: up to 1TB, OPAL SED options. Can I use 2*M.2 2280 NVMe ssd in raid0 and boot os?

I bought this Dell 5591 laptop. Been using it for 2 months. Its horrible sound speakers on it! Very poor sound quality. And the backlight on keyboard is very cheap... Apart from that an ok laptop for work. Nothing special
Unboxing it without giving some layman’s explanation of what’s in is not useful to most non-tech people. As of you are are an american watching Chinese movie without subtitle. :-(
Hi dude, thank you for watching, you are right for a same part, this video is suitable for those who want to find out how their laptop looks inside, before they buying it, or how to replace any part, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
