      I'm sure you've seen those aluminum frames for 2 stroke motorized bicycles which have the built in gas tank & engine mounts. I'm betting if you built a stronger, steel full suspension version with clearance room for both the engine & rear shock. You could sell a bunch of em for say $300 ea. I seen they now make beefy high quality Gemini brand wheels specifically for motorized bikes. I'd love a motorized bike with a full suspension frame like mentioned above, Gemini wheels, 203mm F&R disc brakes, a 52mm engine like the Phantom 85 version 3 & a jackshaft kit with strong e-bike chain. You could also weld some jackshaft bracket mounts on the frame seat tube. So they'd be there if needed. Basically a stealth motorcycle disguised as a motorized bicycle.

      @@michaelbrinks8089 haha that could be cool, definitely a need for stronger frames in that industry !

    i think the titanium would flex a lot on a fully, not that i am not totally interested in this build dont get me wrong just used Titanium bars on my BMX and they were flexing a lot. I have a feeling when you ride it the back will flex and tire feedback will be diminished but lets see this thing. cant wait to see how this works.

      Glad you brought that up! This was what many people were saying initially before I built it, so I definitely took that into account. I used triple butted tubes that had varying thickness and braces to create a custom stiffness in the rear end, as well as using an alloy that wouldn't flex too much. Definitely stick around to see how it rides, I'm excited to put the full bike to some proper testing! :)

    What size would you compare the bike you've built with standardized sizes?

    • @BenCarano
      @BenCarano  Рік тому

      This particular one would qualify as a medium. Slightly on the larger side of medium given as it's an enduro bike, but I'm a 5' 10" rider and a full large is just a little to big for my riding style. My hardtail is a large, and after riding that I've wanted a bit more playful ride feel

    I built a DH bike from mild steel , and a triple Crown fork from stainless steel , but it was too heavy 😂 check it if you want

      Well it's the creativity that counts! It still looks very beautiful, and bet you learned a lot!
