Guys, Bobby ..... Bobby is that something. This boy has IT. You guys gotta watch Show Me the Money S3 on kshowonline . com Just 10 eps. It will feel short. I promise you. Show Me the Money is the biggest rap competition in Korea. The winners Season 1 and 2 got mad respect. Anybody can enter even the famous ones and already with albums. But this here Bobby, he was just 18. A boy! He wasn't in a group yet. (iKON debuted Sept 2015) And he won the whole thing. He was 17, his group (iKON at the time) of youngs boys were set up by their boss to go against another older group (with 2 members already famous in Korea). The winner would win by votes. So the other team got an advantage. But these young teens did put up a really strong fight where iKON's team only lost by 1-2% at the voting stages. The other team got to debut first in 2014. During this survival competition, a rapper judge saw Bobby's talent and wanted him to try out Show Me the Money. NOBODY SAW WHAT WAS COMING. Bobby just did his thing. Nobody in rap scene knew him. He was just a boy and a trainee at that. Kpop rappers are looked down on cause most of them can't really rap well. So Bobby and B.I (iKON leader) got jeered at, dissed by other competitors. At the same time, they were doing another survival show called MIX & MATCH. This time to debut. The boss added 3 boys who don't have experience much in singing and dancing and asked iKON to make them better. Bobby (18) and B.I (17) became team leaders responsible for song arrangement, dance etc with B.I overseeing the whole group too. B.I is also a boy, just 17, who's easily nervous. Those jeers and disses and the Mix & Match responsibility got to him. Bobby... he was fearless. He came from a family whose struggling financially in Virginia, US and wanted to try get the prize money to get his parents a house in Korea and bring them home. He was away from his family for 3 years while he was in S Korea. He saw himself as an immigrant in Korea trying his best to get that chance. The boy was a dark horse. He surprised everybody. Btw, MoBB is not a permanent group. It seems to be a one off thing made by boss, combining his 2 rappers in company. The boss used Bobby's song Full House to be a sub unit song and got one of the producers to make another song for the sub unit. It was cool to see them perform but that was it I think. The boss didn't seem to want to do it again.. the crazy Holup was the most successful song in the charts from the album. Around Top 11. iKON's Love Scenario is doing crazy (the song that B.I made) Since January 26, still number 1 in South Korea . Crazy.
