Stripped lug nut or broken wheel stud? Fix it yourself...

Twice this season I've come across damaged wheel studs which prevented me from mounting snow tires. If you tend to do your own work and remove/install your own wheels, it's just a matter of time before you come across a damaged stud. This video shows a general procedure on how to replace wheel studs yourself.

Use any kind of silicone or lube on the bolt when pulling it into the hub? OR, just pull it through dry?

Just pull it in without lube.
