You should to remove it to minimize the amount of fuel (flammable liquid that keeps your car running) you spill just like they're showing in the video.
@@Charizardsparadise yeah. Removing the injector is tougher, and they cost a lot of cash. If you have misfire issues on a GDI, its usually related to carbon buildup on the intake valves. An oil catch can can prevent this a bit. The fuel injectors don't clean the intake valve so thats why it builds up over time. Terrible design for gasoline cars to be honest, all due to emission regulations
Twist and pull, twist and pull. If it is turning just keep working the injector around twisting and turning and pulling. Eventually it will come out. My truck had this problem.
You should be able to use any fuel injection cleaner for that, which does not require taking anything apart. (You just add the bottle to a mostly empty tank then fill up with gas) Replacement is for when thats not working.

My Kia forte 2014 has a gdi engine , so I need to remove the intake manifold to access the fuel rail and the injectors
You don’t have to take the fuel line off the rail I just did mines & it’s running good engine light went off

You have to leave the battery connected. Only remove the fuse.

No newer kias are GDI not multiport injectors.

There's a high pressure fuel pump in engine compartment and the other fuel pump is under the rear seat
