@@sheldonk5747 Oh yeah that makes sense. That would be a pain to deal with. Having to swap each time for inspection. I lucked out because my area dropped inspections.
@@SubieShakedown I don't have to worry about doing it with my other car now that's a catless downpipe. A few years ago if your car is from 1992 or older you no longer have to worry about inspection. So on my Buick Grand national regal that already had problems trying to pass inspection if you know what I mean I made that even worse LOL
Thanks for the video so hard finding wrx that's 2013 wrx with downpipe I'm trying to buy cobb intake and also grimspeed catted downpipe n get pro tune . Will I pass emissions? Lol
2 year old comment so im guessing you figured it out, cobb did a program called "green speed" which pretty much removed the ability to delete cels for cobb protuners from hi flow or catless downpipes, and removes all of the OTS tunes for the cobb downpipes, pretty dang stupid but it is what it is
You're right, it really does. I just wished the tips on the spt were a little more aggressive... That;s why I ended up getting a catback with muffler deletes.
Good video man, Sounds good to. I see I am not the only one that gets the family involved in the filming lol. On a side note love the backdrop of the scenery man, beautiful place. Keep the content/build rolling man.
Yep, family is the best filming crew👌 I always have one of my kids creepin around when I’m doing stuff. It’s a tradition for my wife to do the “first starts” with exhaust changes too. I’ll keep it rolling! And thank you so much for your support!
Surprisingly it didnt get a CEL for the little bit that I ran the OTS Cobb tune, but then again I didnt drive it very much. Catless + Cobb tune = No good! I got it all tuned now and runs good. Posting the vid on that soon.

I appreciate you doing this video. I just got the Grimm speed one but it's catted yesterday for my 2008 STI hatchback. I already have the cobb access
GimmSpeed is a great choice on the downpipe! I would had gotten that, but I wanted catless. That’s gonna be awesome on your sti!
@@SubieShakedown thank you. I wanted to go catless but here in New Jersey I wouldn't do so well around inspection time.

Sounds good man. Props for doing an install like that by yourself.
There’s nothing better than the satisfaction of doing something yourself, you know?
@@SubieShakedown oh yeah for sure. I've been in that same position a few times and it always feels really rewarding to finish.
@@WRXSNOWBOARDER yep yep especially when somethings REALLY pissing you off and you wonder “why do I like doing this???”
@@SubieShakedown 😆😆😆
Sounds good! Will be a while before I get to the “J” pipe and I bought a tool to help me with studs that may break.
J pipes are the worst. I’d rather do 10 Downpipes instead haha. What tool did you end up getting for that?

Great vid, thank you, doing install of the old cnt catted downpipe today.

Perfect timing thanks man 🙏🏽
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
did your stage 2 map come with the Cobb aces sport ? cause I got mine from Cobb a few months back and I don't have a stage 2 option

Actually sounds good with a stock cat back

Coooool
did you throw a cel going catless, or did the stage 2 tune take care of it?

where should I get a tune from? I have a 2013 wrx with a catless downpipe
Good plans bro!!
Was there any restrictor pill?
Do I need to tune it first???
Don’t rev it on a cold start and definitely don’t bounce it off of your launch control rev limiter
This
With the mufflers that sounds like poop lol
@4:05 bro wtf is your problem stop dragging that crap lol
Oem j pipe…? Shit ain’t worth anything
