- Pleasure Island opened back in 1993 and is a family theme park located in Cleethorpes. Over the years the park has developed to have one of the best flat ride selections in the UK, along with 2 fantastic dark rides.
Join us in our first ever vlog on the channel as we experience everything that Pleasure Island has to offer, along with taking you on board the rides we experience. We also share the amazing moment when we reached 50,000 subscribers on our UA-cam channel, along with taking a trip to Cleethorpes beach to ride a very unique roller coaster!

I went there when I was around 5 or 6 years old
The shell ride that was there was actually sold to Funland hayling island that are now called Neptune’s fury
Unfortunately this park didn’t have a bright future. Such a lovely park where many of my birthdays were spent. Although I did see one of the sweet factory worker animatronics in a sweet shop on the sea front at Skegness. Put a smile on my face knowing that the park hasn’t been forgotten ❤️

Went to Pleasure Island yesterday and said "The award for slowest moving train goes to pleasure island". And now I'm watching this again and you said it too haha
Who else is watching this when it’s shut down and is just remembering things and keeps saying oh I remember that this but place closed when I was 10 and went every summer Since I was 2 I really miss this place I used to love this ride

I don't understand why this park doesn't get more visitors it looks like an amazing little park. It probably needs some more advertising it probably has the most flats of any park in the uk so they could use that in there marketing if it's true. Maybe they could do with some more family coasters or an IP to help.

Its sad thats its closing, ive been going for 10 years now and the boomerang was the first rollercoaster i ever went on
its sad when parks go but hopefully the rides won't move far so you can still get on them.
This was my home park and it was so sad to see it go in 2016. I went on the Sunday and it closed on the Thursday. Pleasure island, you will be missed 👑

closed !! The swings have gone , someone set fire to the massi warriors tent , and nearly all the rides are sold !! yes I live in Grimsby so it takes me 30 mins to get there I loved it especially the magic carpets where you laid on your belly , anyone else like that , it's ace

I love Pleasure Island. The amount of memories i've had from there is amazing. Sadly its closed down now. But yes its an awesome park. The hydro Max is my favouirte ride, then its the pendulous

Awww I take a walk around the perimeter most weekends. A lot of fond memories as a kid. Then worked there for my first job and less than £2 per hour!
I absolutely loved this place, brings back great memories watching this. I'm 28 now, we used to come many times a year in the holidays when i was at primary school. I remember the smell of the dark ride, it always seemed to quiet in the early noughties. I'd sit on many of the rides and ask if i could "stay on" if there were no queues and they let me. I remember the sea lion show, circus and an indoor animatronic show with a gorilla called billy bob, great times 🥰

What a wicked vlog I've watched this one before & just watched it again to show my daughter the park. we loved it I think I enjoyed it more than the first time really wish I had gone to pleasure island it looked fantastic also awesome that it was your 50.000 subs.👍🎡🎢🎠🎢😁
went there every year for 7 year. I used to go to Cleethorpes ever year for 15 years and the pub is just as great aswell would recommend it to anyone!!
Congratulations on the 50K ! Brought back a lot of memories for me growing up around Cleethorpes. Spent most of my late teens around that exact spot where the Little Dipper sits.

Terror rack used to be located at fantasy island under the name topsy turvey. . painted blue with yellow and red splodges.

Really enjoyed the vlog thank another gem. One little point though and u may be pleased to know the amazing little dipper you filmed at the end is older than 41 years. I am 62 this year and my Dad took me on it when i was 6 or 7 and it was old then so goodness knows its actual age so u have been on a real old gem Again many thanks

Just found this one after binge watching all the bookworm restoration videos and your most recent US tour. Love love love your channel, if you ever need video ideas for the future I'd love to have a 'beginners guide to rollercoasters' I feel like I'm just starting my addiction 😂 would love to hear more about the different types, how they work, your experience operating them at Towers etc

I was here the night it closed and I just started liking the rides. It hurts me because my cousin will never get to go there. But I’m glad I got to go
The boomerang was the first ever rollercoaster I ever went on during a school trip, living in Grimsby I usually went to pleasure Island but was always scared of rollercoasters....
Anyway my first time was during the school trip and unfortunately I had to sit next to girl that had bullied me for years. Although I was terrified of the coaster and didn’t even know it went backwards, hearing her scream for her mummy was the highlight of my trip... she never bullied me again 😂😂😂
So many memories at Pleasure Island.. you’ll be missed 💔😢😢

I love this theme park i live in grimsby next to cleethorpes and i used to go there twice a year
I heard on the OTT podcast that Coaster Crazy Andy had been on TPWW videos and it made me search for one - and what a classic this was including being the 50k moment too. This was a lot of fun with your vlogstars in those days too. So sad I never got to visit the park and this was filmed so close to it's final days.
I've been there twice it's a lovely little park but definitely needs to get noticed more

I was here on this day you was blogging and I was the 2nd to last rider of the day on the Tinkaboo factory I went every year since it opened my favourite ride has always been the Tinkaboo factory but I preferred the original theme to it and my dad got a shouting at in 1998 for grabbing the animatronic dogs bone lol

i am now nearly 60 and the ferris wheel and little dipper are my most early memories of going down meggies as us locals call it, so im sure your info and dates are wrong but tried to google it and got nothing. i remember these rides and so does grumpy as being there in 1963 onwards just letting you know. love your vlogs
Shame it's gone it was one of the best theme park in the UK and it was home to A fantastic coaster 'boomerang' it is quite sad I hope we could hopefully see it open again like Southport did!

I wish this little park got more attention. Some of it's flat rides are the best I've been on, honestly. (Though there's too many to do in one day unless you want varying degrees of nausea. I went over a couple days) I haven't actually been for years now, but I remember loving it when I was younger. You appreciate theming and the workings of the ride more when you can't go on them I suppose. It's a right shame it's not as popular as it used to be...I'm not a huge fan of Boomerangs, but the one at Pleasure Island is still a credit I need, hopefully going back to the park later this year.

We used to go there alot with my family, for a treat for end of the holiday but haven't been there for years, nothing has changed much in the rides, they didn't have the farm there when I went. I don't like them either. I am big milk drinker too I have green top milk.

My favourite ride was the hydro max, I have been to the caravan park around 9time and pleasure island 18 times,it will be missed
Shawn the top spin its manufactured by zamperla and there are a few on the world, there is one in Parque de la Costa named Desorbitados, so its hard to find like these

Unfortunately, I never managed a visit when Pleasure Island was open. I only managed to get there to view and buy the gravitron ride. (Pure nostalgia as I used to operate this when it was brand new in South Wales)
Currently at cleethorpes and just saw pleasure island and it's so sad to see it now vs when it was a full themepark

This may sound insane but even though I haven't been to it, this park looks to be incredible. I love these sort of theme parks! I prefer these too things like fantasy island and Blackpool pleasure beach!
I wouldn't go as far to say it beats pleasure beach,looks better than Southport though

Hey theme park worldwide! I have just discovered your vlogs this week, after being a huge theme park fan most of my life. Lovely vlog, Pleasure Island seemed like it was a nice place and it is such a shame that is has closed down. Like another commenter said 2016 was a sad year for theme parks. In a way I feel like the whole industry is still recovering from the Alton Towers Smiler crash. Tommy Tinkaboo's looked wonderful and I'm gutted I never got to ride it. To see that and bubbleworks gone in the same year is devastating.
