- Join us as we make a summer trip to the largest theme park in the UK, Alton Towers, for a day of thrills and spills in the glorious sunshine! We take a look at the various improvements currently happening across the park, such as audio enhancements, a new ride coming to CBeebies Land and preparation for the 2016 Scarefest event. It may be an unpopular opinion, but I actually like how all the rides in the park are spread out. I enjoy walking from one ride to another, it feels more like an adventure. Anyway great vlog as always.

I've been going to Alton Towers since being really young, and Rita was my first ever rollercoaster! And I have to agree that Nemesis is really really good, but for me Rita has to be a favourite or mine, closely followed by the Smiler!

Oblivion looks absolutely terrifying but if I was not terrified of roller coasters I'd probably like it. It's just so amazing the fact you go straight down, it's like you're gonna go underground into another world.

I was there when you were!!! It was my birthday too so it would have been the best present ever to appear in your vlog for longer than 1 minute, unlike my appearance in the Galactica vlog hahaha.

Very nice Vlog. Alton Towers is a very good Park. But what they need are more Rides for the whole family like Kongo River Rapids. As I met you last week a have forgotten to tell you, that we waited 80 Minutes for Galactica. That was far to much. My wife had her second ride on Galactica without the VR-glasses and she really loved it. And you are right, the VR glasses at Europa Park fits far better.
If you want to come back to the northern part of Germany (maybe next year) to visit Heide Park and/or Hansa Park you should fly to Hannover and visit the Zoo in Hannover. The Zoo has the best theming I have ever seen in a Zoo!!! It is very Europa Park style!!! You and Charlotte will love it. There is also a very huge Safari Park between Hannover and Soltau that is worth a visit. It is called Serengeti Park Hodenhagen. They offer different Safari Explorations (by Car, Bus, Jeeps. Quads). They have two unique boat rides, too. One with original Florida Airboats, the other with Speedboats. And there are many Flatrides, a flume, Shows and much more.

Love the smiler so much best ride out there in my opinion and I went to the scarefest and did it six times and smooth on every one and I sat on every row
I'm moving to Stoke for uni soon, I hope my student loan covers my need to go to Alton Towers twenty thousand times during term time ahaha. I'm thinking of joining the Theme Park society, watching your vlogs has heavily influenced me. :)
Alton towers is my favourite park in the UK. Just love sitting Down on towers street and looking over the lake at the towers with the theme tune.

if you think the smiler is rough then how did you cope with saw and Colossus??
I first ride the smiler the week it opened and it was one of the smoothest coasters I had been on then when I went on ir 1 year later the ride was as rough as anything. I'm guessing they changed the wheels or something because of all the accidents when it firt opened

We have heard rumours that the ride may stay closed
16:05: talking of packed lunches, i went to Blackpool PB yesterday (24th), and was told that i couldn't take sandwiches in at the bag check, so had to get a locker. it's probably just to almost force people to buy food in the park, but is ridiculous. they didn't say anything about it last time i went!
plus, i finally conquered the Big One!!

Shawn, I have a good scare attraction you could go to. Its called farmageddon in uk at farmer teds. search it up and have a look and it has about 6 houses you go into!

Have you ever visit Tripsdrill. You really need to do that! It's like the German version of toverland. Very good theming, Some coasters and very, very much flatrides for children.

When I went on the smiler the projector with the circle was off centred and the chairs rattled all the way through
I've got a question, why does duel always stop? from the 7 times I've been on its stopped twice
It usually stops so that disabled guests can get in the ride car

I remember the very early days as a kids a Alton towers the cork screw next to that was the flying carpet and jut down the hill was the enterprise lol there's was never loads like there is now remember when the Blackhole was added queues used to huge near that was the toboggan run lol those where the days

Yes this was on the 18th. I saw him on the 17th too at the turnstiles. I was also there on the 18th but unfortunately didn't see anyone from the vlogs, except Katherine and that other one she normally goes with (forgot his name!)

I always used to go and absolutely stuff my face at the Pizza Hut every time I came and I was so upset when it was gone. I ate too much pizza Hut once got in the queue for duel and because it smells a bit weird in there it caused me to throw up all over the entrance steps to duel. 2006 that was, good memories :p
