I often wonder how many people watch these bits of cinema vérité and see themselves on there! Or anyone who lives in the houses near the station on this video - “There’s my house!”.
No they don't. The 07:34 from Scarborough in a morning runs to Leeds. 15:34 runs to Manchester Victoria and the 20:34 & 21:34 run to Manchester Airport.

Yes. This and the XC to Banbury is to do with the reduced services since covid.

Why on earth does the CrossCountry train terminate at Banbury? How useful might that be?
I always feel unconfident about the braking performance of that Class 37 diesel locomotive while driving it on TSW2.
