TPE seem to be reverting to push/pull engine hauled units, that can be added to (& engines substituted, when failing) after many years pf saying DMU's are the way forward
The coaching stock used can't be added to easily, at least not any easier than a DMU. They've only chosen loco haulage for being able to swap out locos easily and because should electrification occur the 68 can be replaced by an electric loco
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the login password. I would love any assistance you can give me!
@Colson Joziah Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Nice shots but I'm not too sure about the Nova 3, it's basically a freight train that is used to haul nuclear waste pods. It has no seating (except crew), bellows out plumes of blue exhaust smoke and is fifteen times louder than a Nova 1, it's just an environmental disaster. I think the Nova 3 has taken rail travel back to the seventies
Strange how even the unbranded units have different coloured doors. It’s as if they can’t possibly forget to do that! But at least they don’t stick out too much.
Alasdair Clift DDA rules are an absolute pain the arse! We managed OK years ago so why can’t we manage now? I never saw anyone struggle finding the doors in 80s!
Best sounding engine at the moment, awesome pieces of kit
Indeed!
Except 37’s
Some great shots there, well captured of the new TPE fleets
Hate the plain grey on the 800s but once colour is added to them they do look very smart

They do look good though, if a little overpowered for just 5 coaches.

Excellent video Dan. Those new trains sure do look and sound good. Cheers.
Thanks Peter

Thanks so much you saved my ass!
Black Douglas, love the name.
Nice pics
I find the lack of yellow disturbing
Love the 68s, but wish they were
bi mode, electric and Diesel. Mode.
@Mighty Monkey wait, the 88 is a bi-mode?
Transpenne express video

It's okay, it's the Class 43

Great Video Mate 😍

Well, doesn't York sound so much better with the sound of a loaded diesel loco :-)
I like York

The doors have to be coloured differently under DDA requirements
Alasdair Clift DDA rules are an absolute pain the arse! We managed OK years ago so why can’t we manage now? I never saw anyone struggle finding the doors in 80s!
Nigel K Thomas Because they couldn’t travel by train in the first place in the 80s and had to get assistance from staff if they did
Nigel K Thomas No dda rules are for a purpose helping partially sighted passengers.
Mm!!!
