Hi lads from Spain. Something like that could be used as a back up for solar. I remember during the 70s having a 12v battery and battery charger set up supplying 12v bulbs and a portable television to overcome the consequences of the miner's strike. A plus was it would also keep the central heating going.
The perfect portable power station charger hasn’t been invented yet. It needs to be made lighter, thinner and smaller with a shorter recharging time. This one is good but still falls short. Thanks for the review! 😊
They haven't because the whole idea is dumb. If you want more range it's more economic to just increase the battery in the car. That is because you loose power due to efficiency reasons when you charge one battery with another. Specially if you do it by converting it from DC from one battery to AC with a inverter, only to convert it back from AC to DC again with a charger. Also just increase battery size in the car will save you the space of the inverter and the cooling for the inverter and the money that in this case a 2000W inverter would cost.
Citroen has stated before that they are more committed to smaller batteries because they have less environmental impact and less troublesome. Their game is making the vehicles lighter to maximise range, hence the Oli concept.
I loved the variety of USB ports, and the autonomy it added to the Elton from such a compact power bank was not bad at all, It exceeded expectations, yet another excellent review.
eco flow delta max will fit space ! I have two and second will go transversely next to other on floor in front of passenger seat - each 2400w output therefore 4800w total extra
Excellent hands-on review. If you have room, you could take both those packs, maybe? Maybe someone can advise what that yellow socket of caravaning joy is for.
You can easily take both if travel alone. Or the aferiy if travelling alone though you can have a passenger and the aferiy it’s just not as comfortable
Thanks Tim Impressive unit and good review. Seems an ideal sized capacity to meet the needs of most people and then some. Price with your discount is competitive as well.
A quick search for the model says "2-ish kWh". That's an impressive amount of added range (12+km per kWh if I've understood correctly?) by EV standards. There's probably a reason why they don't come with A-G energy efficiency labels! That's a decently small unit for 2kWh compared to the beast Lead Acids in my solar shed.
I do have one question! Can the door close when you are using a bank from inside the car? I know it won't when the charging point is outside, but curious about this bank! Great video thanks ❤
As someone with a vintage. pre-war car, I'm wondering if it's possible to make and fit a rear fold-down luggage rack that is similar to what was fitted to cars before the boot/trunk was designed into the body of the car. You may need to relocate the number plate to the rack in such a way as it can been seen in both positions. You can then increase you luggage capacity. It would need to be fitted to the 'chassis' of the Ami with some decent sized nuts and bolts (probably two each side to provide strength).
@@MeandMonAmi Yes, I know of the Topolino but wasn't aware FIAT had a luggage rack on its options list. Is it one that attaches to the body just beneath the rear window, or is it one that fits to the underside of the car and when folded down it's only around 6ins off the road? It's that design I'm thinking of. It'll be stronger than one bolted to the plastic body. As an aside; a friend owns a 1938 FIAT Topolino (the original Topolino).
