What a fun spread. I love the eyes. Both spreads are interesting, they'd make you stop and look closer every time you flip through the journal. Thanks for your idea.
This is like the coolest ever way to iterpret this particular prompt. I mean the eyes? It's just iconic! It's immediate subscribe, simply even from the thumbnail, i adore your style. I love the compleye creative freedom in this video, of just liking aomething and immediately trying out a different version right here next to the first one. You are so inspiring
omg thank you so much for your lovely and encouraging comment! That means a lot to me! I've been trying different kind of approach in journaling with mix media and so far I am very enjoying it and I am glad you enjoyed watching it too 🥰
My first time here. I really like your tearing projects for peeking out! 😊 I have done tearing around pictures before, but never thought of doing it for words. Great idea! I like both versions. I especially like how you sort of tore ruffles around the eyes, and then added the outline of one eye from the packaging. The horizontal tears on your second page are really cool, and I think the contrasting wrapping paper made the wording stand out more.
aaahh thank you so much for your lovely comment! I think you wrapped up everything very well for me, thank you!! I think the ruffle makes it more "eye" if that makes sense 😆, it's a bit fiddly but the texture is so lovely 🥰
Both of the ideas are great and really create a different effect! The whimsy of the eyes is fun but for other uses I like the horizontal one on the patterned paper!! ❤
Hi! Thanks for all the great ideas. I love the use of the eyelash packaging and the idea of the words peeking through. I am looking forward to giving this a try!
Thank you so much!! The second one is definitely more clean and colourful in a way.. I really like the look of the horizontal tear better than the eye tbh, but cant deny that the eye is fun to make as well 🤭
Hi again. I watched for a second time, because I wanted to use this technique for doing the January 27 prompt, lyrics. I chose a Jackson Browne song, "Doctor My Eyes." I wrote out the song lyrics on the back page, and tore eyes out of a book page. I wound up having to write some of the lyrics twice because there would be gaps otherwise, since they are laid out like poetry. It turned out pretty well! Thanks again.
Hi hi!! Ahhh yessss i could imagine doing this for "lyrics" prompt 😍, thats a good idea to use it! Ahhh yess i realized the gap as well hence i tried to write the words as close as to each other. Thank you so much for letting me know and your lovely comment 🫶🏻🥹🤗
Hey thank you so much!! It's on my hand made paper. I coffee dye-d it, dried it, then I paint it lightly with gouache and water colour then dried it ☺️
What a fun page. I love your process! The stitching adds texture. Thee flip outs make the spread! ❤
Thank you so much❤❤ im glad you enjoyed it. I appreciate it ❤

I love this idea. I think I like one with the eye best, but I love them both! ❤😊
Thank you so much!! I do really like the horizontal tear in terms of the "peeking out" shape but the eye was more fun to make 😂

Thank you so much! I agree! I feel like the eyes are fun, like it gives a unique page but the horizontal one is making me stop and stare to read it ☺️

That’s beautiful. Was your quote on a tea bag or some other material? I loved the simplicity and neutral colors!

The music is distracting & unnecessary. Too bad.
Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it ❤
