That's a really cool intro with the fancy chair, burnt wreck and beautiful sunset!! I absolutely love it, I hope this becomes a regular feature! Keep up the great work Rudy! 👍
Rudy is killing it! I love the relaxed, laid back presentation and cinematography of these videos. So refreshing from the loud music and shouting everybody else feels the need to do. Otis and Janelle are icing on the cake… well done… 👏🏻👍🏻
The blast engineer for hole in the rock was my great great grandfather Benjamin Perkins. Ben was a born in the UK doing mining jobs starting at the age of 8. He started working with dynamite not long after. In the UK he joined the LDS church and took a train to Salt Lake. He was called by church leaders to help colonize southern Utah. He took his wife and went with the wagon party down to the area where they’d create hole in the rock. There’s not a whole lot of information on how he created the hole in the rock in terms of engineering and design. Ben didn’t have an education since he was working in mines his whole life, but he designed the suspended tracks and perfectly measured the blast holes to allow the tracks that’d allow the wagons to go down the cliffs and gullies. They used ropes and pulleys to bring the carts down safely. I guess you could say I’m proud. Haha!
Why was I not surprised to hear that you hadn't fueled up? I wonder what might have prepared me for that possibility? Awesome adventure Rudy and JaNelle, thanks for taking us along with you.
Where I come from ,and that's British Columbia we don't leave town without a big thank of fuel and at least one full jerry can , whether you or someone else on the road needs it...just saying.🤔🤣😂🤣 It's like going to the washroom before you leave home.
@@wynottgivemore9274 I'm in BC as well.. Yeah, it can be a LONG way between gas stations here, Long way to cell coverage too, and not much traffic to come along and help you out
All those brand new looking Jeeps make it look like a Jeep commercial....and then there is the Rudicon. Probably the most capable unit in the group. Great video. Thanks.
Rudy, you're a born story teller. That was very good. I thought you were going over when you were in that hole. All's well that ends well though. Brent needs a MORR t-shirt, cause he got em out. :)
Impressive that you were able to drive that far on half a tank. Something that you will remember next time and learn from. Probably end up helping somebody else in the same situation next time.
Rudy, that was your best video to date. You're starting to come into your own, so keep up the good work. JaNelle is doing great as well and gonna give you a run for your money on rock crawling. However, you ARE your fathers son when it comes to watching the fuel gauge. LOL That was some beautiful country you were in out there.
Thanks Rudy & JaNelle for letting me share your adventure on the hole in the rock jeep trail. The holland rock trail and the history of the mormons pioneers crossing is such a amazing story and site to see! Great content and story line along with the beautiful scenery makes for a very enjoyable video. Running out of gas will make your dad very proud of you for keeping with the family tradition!😀 So glad you decided to have this channel love your adventures along with your informative fabrication projects. Added to those is the very well done narration and creativity you put into each video.
You guys are on a great track here. The vibe you are sharing, the storytelling is intriguing, the adventure relatable, and clearly not over. I appreciate you taking the extra time to put this all together! Thanks
So Rudy, when is the bumper swing away get add!! So you can carry spare fuel?? I thought you may have learned better from your dad, about running on fumes!! Lol But that was an epic, three day adventure, thanks for taking your UA-cam Community along! Janelle, did a amazing job driving the trail system. Glad to see both of you out enjoying life and have fun together..
This was an Adventure and History trip. Beautiful country, sunsets, scary trails. Thanks Rudy, JaNelle for sharing your Adventures. Please break this habit of Not fueling up! Lol. Thanks Brent for getting Rudy back safely. Looking forward to the next Adventure. 🤙😎
Rudy, JaNelle is a real treasure! No woman I've known would even go on a trip like that but getting stuck or running out of gas? I never would have heard the end of it! Looks like you've got the Rudycon ready to take on most any trail!
Being a trucker for 30+ yrs i cant wrap my head around you being at a gas station fixing your trailer lights and not filling up with gas. Really you was right there, not cool. Looked like a cool trail ride. Thanks for sharing.
That is definitely the best comment I've heard all year I've only been driving 5 years if I'm at a gas station getting a granola bar I'm going to fill up but I'm not mats son
I loved this video, I really enjoy the shots of the scenery as well as seeing the crazy antics you get up to. I cannot believe you ran outta gas, just like your Dad, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I am glad you made it outta that hole without any real damage. I'm looking forward to your next video.
We actually passed a group of jeeps on their way out that were all dressed up like the pioneers. They told us they were all descendants of the Mormons that built the trail
I am a fan of your Dad's recovery videos, seeing you both on your own channel is perfect, I am a big fan in Los Angeles, can't wait to see the next one and what you will do with your channel, Thank you.
I love the creativity. The couch with the sunset behind you as you narrated the trip. That concept add something that you do not typically see. It looks like a fun trip. There was a good mix or rock crawing and seeing the landscape aorund you. I love seeing some of nature on the trails. Thanks for sharing.
That's an awesome trail. Thanks for showing us. It seems Janelle really found her natural ability in front of a camera. Got to see Rudicon stuck in a hole, and back out again. Great all around video.
Thanks Rudy, what a great adventure. I did very similar things when I was a young man about your age. That’s been ~ 35 years ago now. But I’ve never stopped traveling. I’ve been all around the world. For me, there is nothing greater, than the great outdoors. Be safe, have fun, work hard, play hard, and may God bless you always.
Thanks Rudy for taking us along on your adventure. I love the way you presented it. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Stay safe healthy and happy 👍
Thank you for showing us the wagon trail! We were in Bluff AZ at the museum and learned about the journey but to see the video of the area is pretty awesome! If you ever get back there stop in the museum and watch the video. They were crazy!

You did the #1 thing IMO, you didn't go alone. That shelf road onto Grey Mesa has some pucker factor. The history of the Mormon pioneers that crossed that route is almost unbelievable. Is there going to be a story time of the red and blue flashing lights at the end of the video? Couldn’t really make out what was in the background it was too dark, I hope everyone is ok! Great video looking forward to more content from you and Janell!
