    your videos are always thoughtfull.
and as i listened to this video,
    "is physical pain a thought?"
because it does reach into the mind.

    I get this. 💯
It’s like the difference between my thoughts and thoughts that most definitely do not originate from me; they’re not my own. They are truly foreign, but also very recognizable. Is that what you’re lining about here, Rabbi?

I am very familiar with this reality. For example, last night before going to sleep, a thought came to my mind: What should I read in Tanak? The thought was Eliyahu. I couldn't remember where Tanak was Eliyahu? I started to look into the index and found it in 1st and 2nd King. I was wondering why I was given to read the life of Eliyahu. I am going to read both chapters today. I am 76 years old woman whose memory is sometimes failing, but I try to keep my mind healthy. Why Eliyahu? I have been thinking about the war in Israel and praying to HaShem why the war. They have suffered so much. I was actually thinking that what HaShem wanted from his people was for them to be the Priests of the nations. But at the same time, I argue that the nations never wanted to leave their gods, and our people are just human, and they can't make them change their minds. Isn't that the reason why our people are hated so much because the people think the Jewish people are trying to control the world?
