The shape of the dresser and adding the feet and wallpaper to the drawers is what makes it look special. You did a great job. Who cares if it is not exactly like the dupe. Better to take inspiration from an idea and then do your own thing. Great job!

I actually like this one better. I wasn't really into the Anthropology one. As a designer, you have to do what feels right. Sometimes it's a hard call. I love watching your videos, they are so informative and inspiring!

It looks so much better. I would ave tried dry brushing or lightly rolling the texture with either stark white or a darker color to bring it out.
The piece turned out well. I would have liked to have seen you have the courage to move forward with the original plan. Often, really inspirational pieces require taking a risk.

I agreed with you. A second color might have taken it too far. However using a dark wax to bring out all those accents may really popped. Just a thought.

You gotta go with your gut reaction. You have a great sense of Economics,from what I can tell.I admire that. When I did houses I could say here is the cost,here is the client who will pay this much. Always from dreams. Always right. But that is hard to explain so I never did. You! Do not get discouraged! It is a good piece now. And we all learned something from it. That has great value.

I definitely think you made a good decision! It’s beautiful! ❤️I learned something new from you! I didn’t know that laminate doesn’t bleed. I’ve only done a couple of small laminate pieces. But thanks for the clarity of knowing that laminate needs a bonding primer and wood needs stain blocking.

Turned out beautiful.. a lot of times it’s all about different tastes anyway. The bun feet you chose seems to give the dresser a more traditional look which kind of matches the style. I’m interested in trying Lilly moon paint products. Keep up the good work!!

I've been planning to do this to a beat up Sheraton period Victorian dresser for my new bathroom, next to a claw tub. I'm just going to use a white enamel on all of it, with glass knobs. Frankly, you're a genious:) I like it better than the inspiration piece. This one won't scream mid-mod, and should be more versatile over a longer period of time. If anyone copies this look, it would be fun to paint the 2 long "beads" along the top and then pinstripe one of the beads on each of the bun feet.
You have to go where the piece takes you and your skills allow. I would be happy to have this fun piece in my home.

I think your dresser has come out better than the dupe
Would you consider doing another project in the future where the finish is not monotone? I would love to see a contrast in colour which was the original intention. I do understand that you know what sells and you do not want to be left with a piece of furniture cluttering up your space. I really enjoy your videos. Best wishes Alison
