I don't know why, but I kinda love it when people talk to the video editor by just talking into the camera on shows like these. It kinda feels like they're sending little video letters and it's neat. Also, Heather is awesome, just, you know, in general. She's so awesome I have to actually watch the video on Dice Friends instead of just listening to the audio like I do with other pen and paper stuff I watch online. Dagnabbit, Heather. You're so awesome it is mildly inconvenient. How dare?
39:02 That letter really does say "mail time," just in tengwar (Tolkien elvish letters). Tengwar in this mode is an "impure abjad", meaning only the consonants are written and the vowels indicated with diacritics; the glyphs that look like "m", "t", and "p" are consonants and the dots above and below are the vowel sounds. Yes I realize I'm the dork writing a youtube comment correcting someone about an imaginary alphabet in a fantasy book and I will go sit in the corner and think about my life choices, but someone also put in the effort to write "mail time" in tengwar and I figured I should at least acknowledge that.
hatchcrazy that’s actually really cool, I thought it was just a unusual calligraphy choice. Thanks for sharing 😊 Btw, never be ashamed to let your freak flag fly. “Weird” is just another way of saying “limited edition”. It just means you are something rare and uncommon and there is no shame in that. ❤️
20:00 in the theater costume class, we literally had a lesson on the Burn Test for determining what fabric is made of. There's a ton you can determine based on how the fabric burns
Hey pro-tip to get that Dark Imperium painted faster - get Cam a can of Death Guard Green Spray (if you've got a store that carries GW paints). I got the set too and while I'm a tad burnt out painting right now, it makes it go way faster! (You can also get a can of another color for the Space Marines side of that box!) Or Army Painter (again, idk what Victoria has for hobby shops.) Best of luck though! Looking forward to more minis painting on TTSF!
That LRR themed Nintendo is probably one of the best things I've seen come through mailtime, including my own package so I think that says something ;pppp Awesome ^__^

If you've ever seen the MST3K episode "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians," at one point one of the Martians mentions the film takes place in the month of Septober. (And if you haven't, I highly recommend it.)
*GRAHAM AND BEEJ!* Two things: 1. Sodas do expire and go bad. Mostly things like getting moldy INSIDE the sealed container. I HAVE PERSONALLY WITNESSED IT. (After getting chewed out by my employer at the time for not rotating the stock and some cans got forgotten in the back and went bad. So, this isn't one of those "friend of a friend of a friend" story. So, yeah.) 2. "Best By", "Sell By" and "Used By" typically mean different things, but (at least in the US) are not required on most items. So, it's up to the manufacturer if they do include it... AND THEY DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU WHICH IT IS. Best by is typically the date before the product starts to lose flavor or loses effectively. Sell By is the date that the retailer should either sell the product or dispose of it. Use By is when the consumer should either use or dispose of the product, in case using it makes someone sick. A lot of manufacturers use Best By dates, because it ensures that the product will be at a specific quality at the time of use. (And it helps to rotate stock faster, which earns more money for the manufacturer. Nothing boosts profits like, "Hey, that product you have may be still usable, but you need to buy a new one because it's best by date has expired.") www.fsis.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsis/topics/food-safety-education/get-answers/food-safety-fact-sheets/food-labeling/food-product-dating/food-product-dating/!ut/p/a1/jZDRCoJAEEW_pQ9YdkyTfBQh1FIRqWxfYstVF2xXdCvq6zOqhyLLmac7cy4zXExwiomgJ15QxaWg1V0TcwsxmJrlgB9Z2gy8cBVHc8eBaTLpgM0PINQH-nvKhn9-f8CBcRM4QYFJTVWJuMglTgumEBXtmTUtTnMpM9TSnKkLyuleobZkTL0WFd2xioviKetGZseOybqI-oZrTN7fAq1rL9QTw_VDHSLjE_iS2wPoD6Y-LNPrwnaBe6Mb6MfBOg!!/#6 If a product does not specify what the date is, and that date has past sufficiently, DUMP IT AND GET SOMETHING NEWER!
Further soda info: the aspartame & other non-sugar sweeteners in diet sodas can also decay after only a few months, making those sodas somehow more gross than they were.
I've somewhat recently joined the LRR fanbase, but I am suddenly very happy that I understand the "Experience Beej!" reference now. For the longest time I didn't understand the reference... then I watched the Star Trek DVD(VHS? Paul's MP4?) board game... And now, YOU! EXPERIENCE BEEJ!
Beej is correct about wool, it is easy to catch but takes ages to burn so it is often used as tinder like kindling in campfires especially if you go on a guide trip with a load of elderly trefoil guild who have been around since the fifties.
Yup, it makes for a fantastic firestarter if you pack a cardboard tube like a toilet paper roll or half a paper towel roll with it. Really handy for lighting campfires, charcoal BBQs, and wood stoves.
"magasin de jouet" = "toy store" :P By the way, its pretty cool to hear you speak french ! :) You should make a video or a crapshot in french 1 of these days :)
On the subject of American towns having duplicate names, I believe there is a Springfield in almost every state. Turns out, when you have fifty separate states, you can just recycle names because hey, why not?
They played Root, Villainous and Warchest on the Geek & Sundry channel some time ago. All of them are wonderful games that I'm sure you guys will enjoy.
Concordia is a fantastic game. I heavily endorse it. Root has a lot of hype behind it, but I have not had a chance to play it. Beej may have been thinking of Armello, which is a boardgame esque video game featuring forest animals.
Can anyone explain the reaction at 20:40 to "hello Kathleen and Paul" ? It is possibly obvious to many, but I'm relatively new to the channel, watching through a bunch of older stuff and more recent videos but don't understand the reaction (not what it is or what it's about).
There was one a while back (I think November or December 2016, but I'm not sure) where someone tried to send them beer but it broke in shipping. Customs sealed it in plastic and their post office notified them to come pick it up immediately. Graham happened to be gone at the time so it fell to Kathleen and Paul to go pick it up and see what in the world happened. I think the same guy who sent that package also sent this one.
I'd like to point out that for the Nsburg card game, the yelp reviews are all written by Derek (based on the first initial and his age being listed as 19).
If that game works you totally need to work with them on an actual sales copy. That sounds hilarious even if it is just a shelf in joke. I have at least one friend I could play this with.
While you're at it, can you boo the Arizona Cardinals for me? (Yeah, I wished they would have moved instead of getting a new stadium... looks like an aluminum commode.)

Hey, I'm just glad someone got the reference. I had to break out the old Tengwar style guides to write that one.
That Frankenstein's box joke is exactly what I'm here for.
Heather nailed the edit on this one. Solid work.

Duuuddee. Ensburg the game needs to become open to the public. I'd so support that kickstarter. Qwerpline is life.
That little bell sound for every "Pitch!" makes it so much funnier. An elegant joek
What is it from? I cannot place that sound effect, and I know it's a video game I just can't think
@@MadMontyMN it's nautical, like a bell buoy bell, you might have heard it anywhere

The UK has Guides for adult?! Why don't we have this. I want to sign my grandma up for it.
Additionally, it stinks pretty badly while burning
If anyone could explain to me why i really really like watching people open their mail every two months, i would be glad.
"magasin de jouet" = "toy store" :P By the way, its pretty cool to hear you speak french ! :) You should make a video or a crapshot in french 1 of these days :)
I live in Grande Prairie AB hearing it mentioned blows my mind a little
Chili chocolate is actually pretty good if you like dark chocolate and enjoy spicy and sweet.
I like the late breaking "Not Children's Products" box
Watching this in 2021, I really want to see Beej and Graham sit so close to eachother. Remember those times chat?

I remember playing that Star Wars game once, my friend had it. but damn that was 20 years ago
I just watched the latest doctor who episode with the exploding bubblewrap before watching this mail time...

Another tasty Mail time. Are the credits new?
i kinda wanna see just a big group painting of those warhammer miniatures on TTFS now
"We can experience force beej"
I've seen that adult movie.
Septober is my favorit month of the year
Hey, chili chocolate is actually really good!
The Sakura-themed bottle was just regular coke, although made in Japan, so maybe slightly different?
Oh shit I bought Welcome To when I was at SHUX because I played it once and just *had to have it*. It's super super good.
Boxnard delivers!
Well 32:40 is my favorite moment in this whole video.
45:28 personally I'm excited for the grand Portland battle royale!

Please do that Temporal Odyssey drafting battle card game on AFK!!!
