As a reminder, all show footage included in the documentary was from fan recordings from live broadcasts, since all official recordings were lost in 2006. Thank you fans!
Though my memory isn't very good, I very clearly remember watching this and getting very weirdly emotional over a fake puppet show. I'm not sure how to describe it, it had the pastiche of a better, simpler time that resonated. But, here in 2024 where it feels like the world is falling apart, this remake is now an actual nostalgic reminder of a better, simpler time. Thank you for the incredible Christmas present.
Yeah, I don't know if its the estrogen or just my ability to suspend disbelief, but I almost teared up a bit. I'm nostaligic for something I haven't even seen. And I never saw the muppets or sesame street either so its not like its bleeding over from something I *did* see.
well that was great, some more of Gibbs backstory. can i also mention that i remember professors play house? it helped me through some really crappy summers babysitting my siblings....just real easy to turn it on and the kids would give a minute to breath ( :D)
Live somewhere less famous. My hometown got mentioned on John Oliver one time. Apparently, we're the wasted water capitol of America, a result of so many golf courses in the desert.
my favorite LRR sketch, now in more than 240 pixels! was hoping for a bit more of the goofy semi-grounded worldbuilding that made the original so good, but i can't complain either way
Man, seeing how the whole crew really made a name for themselves, it's quite tragic to see my favorite, Gibb, not achieving much and only hanging out with some random Canadian comedy group.
''Can you imagine starting something with your friends that becomes your whole career?''
No doubt that comes from a very real place
What could’ve been if Graham and Paul stuck to sketches and Unskippables well after they burned out.
As a reminder, all show footage included in the documentary was from fan recordings from live broadcasts, since all official recordings were lost in 2006. Thank you fans!
Such a shame, watching the UK reruns of this was a highlight of my childhood.
I did NOT know Gibb came from a skit that long ago!
I love how they all have little mics pinned to them.
How else would you hear them talk?
@@lordhosk I'm sure they know a spider puppet that would be a killer boom operator.
It’s a great touch.

I love that the archival footage for Karl is extra-archival now
I went back and watched the original after this, as I was like, who were the original voices?
....Graham, they were all Graham XD
Yeah… happy to have spread that out a bit this time 😄
This was surprisingly emotionally touching...
(I loved "not sure use they")
i feel this
Graham's got that perfect soothing yet commanding voice that makes it so easy to get immersed in a video like this. You're all amazing voice actors.
Love how you reused some of the footage from the original to give that true documentary feel.
The squeaking squirrel is an incredible touch, no less excellent for being a remake of the original.
Gibb's glasses add 20 years, wow
they're to show time had passed!
Didn’t know he was wearing contacts all this time!
4:49 Noooooo! Why did I get emotionally invested in these characters who were clearly in a dark-reveal-documentary style sketch!?! 😢
The way the professor covers his eyes with his ears at the end is adorable.
How dare you give me soo many feels for a show I can't even watch
"Not Sure? Use They."
They're humor is great!
7:46 Dr. Ferdinand's corpus includes children's classics such as, "Dungeon Master's Guide" and, "Tomb of Annihilation"
The Sudbury mention was an unexpected Christmas gift. Cheers from your favorite Canadian impact crater.
A LoadingReadyRun sketch in the year of our lord 2024 almost brought a tear to my eye.
Puppets are just. They just win. Every time they are there I am chuffed to bits. Thank you, LRR.
In decades to come, someone will find this and wonder if it’s real
Seeding future Goncharov moments
Holy Crap!!!! I have that EXACT same Koala puppet!!! Mind blown when he came on the screen!!!!
I was surprised when the canadian beaver changed from a hoser to a quebeqois
The lapel mics are a nice touch

This was all backstory for Gib wasn't it
You can't just jumpscare me 45 seconds into the video by saying my hometown, that's not fair
Live somewhere less famous.
My hometown got mentioned on John Oliver one time. Apparently, we're the wasted water capitol of America, a result of so many golf courses in the desert.
1:12 "Everybody loves humans"
I'm pretty over humans at this point and am rooting for super-intelligent squirrels.
RIP Stanley, you were a real one.
Prime Minister Mike's sponsorship scandal seems so long ago now
This got me 😂
4:44 The producer who laughed when the idea for a segment on the fibbonachi sequence was proposed was quickly sacked.
The inclusion of Gibb adds the implication that this is canon to LRR...
The lapel mics sold me
"...because I'm just about at mine."😂
Got me to cry, storytelling at its finest.
Amazing. Love the update and the call backs.
I'm not crying, YOU'RE CRYING.
hey im the guy who made the two reddit posts asking about what happened to this sketch
glad you finally had time to edit it turned out great
It's heeeeeeerrre! A Christmas miracle!
the audible gasp I made when I saw this video
I never clicked so fast
welcome back professor
Best Christmas gift anyone could ask for!
The lav mics was a nice touch.
Hey! Making me have feels over a skit is illegal!
does this mean Gibb is the most famous member of LRR?
He's not the one that appeared on Letterman.
I think it's still Graham with the nunchuk jousting video.
The nunchuck jousting video appeared on Jay Leno and Colbert (CBS). None of them appeared on Letterman at time of writing.
3:35 - "Well in Sudbury we have our own sight to see: we like to go watch'em dump slag!"
This will always be what I think of when someone mentions Sudbury!
4:16 oh, the lampshade
finally we know some of gibs back story
Oh hey a new LRR video this will be fun…
About 0:44 seconds in, oh hey I’m from there
Idk how, but you got me crying after work over puppets. The last time a puppet made me suddenly cry was the Defunctland Jim Henson Special.
my favorite LRR sketch, now in more than 240 pixels! was hoping for a bit more of the goofy semi-grounded worldbuilding that made the original so good, but i can't complain either way
Thank you. I love this. Man the sketch nostalgia be hiiiitttttiiiin
Huuuuuge fan of the "Lorem Ipsum" gag, spectacular work!
Fresno California had a tv station licensed by Canada? CFUR?
"Gibb is working as a correspondent for an internet comedy troupe." and he's doing a fantastic job!
It's time, finally time! Merry Christmas ya bereaved animals!
This is perfect fodder for an analog horror ARG.
Man, seeing how the whole crew really made a name for themselves, it's quite tragic to see my favorite, Gibb, not achieving much and only hanging out with some random Canadian comedy group.
Excellent remake, I love it!
That intro hit me right in the nostalgia
You lot can easily do a show like this an I would watch it.
Love this tribute to the original sketch. Really happy to see this done up right after so many years.
I miss Prime Minister Mike. He should run again.
I think this is one of the cleverest things yous have ever done!
Fantastic :)
Absolutely delightful
Can you IMAGINE?
The little lav mics!
Thank you Funhouse.
The secret origin of Gibb. Loved it!
This has always been my favourite old sketches, so it's wonderful to see it remade.
Woo! New LRR video ❤
remade in 2024.... technically
Merry chrimbo everyone
Yay thanks for posting this! :D
Dang it, that ending made me cry
So glad to see this one, but even better ❤ such a lovely documentary
Gibb`s career really went downhill.
He gets free room and a board.
7:08 It's not ok to make me cry like this.
Hello from Fresno!
There's an unreasonable amount of good looking puppets in Sudbury
Yey, no sex scandals. Pat on the back all round.
Absurdly brilliant.
o7 Stanley 😢
This is too real
The dnd books for the childrens book scene got me 😂
Man I absolutely loved Abra Cadabra as a kid. The goodbye with Dolly at the end? Heartbreaking. I cry every time I rewatch it, even today.
So, this implies that Gibb is canonically a monkey, as opposed to an unidentifiable little furry guy 🤔
No, he *played* a monkey on a kids show. Very different.
am i the only one who actually cried?! i cant be the only one who cried a little!!! excellent work
Literally, i laughed, i cried
You're making me cry over a fucking koala puppet
I need more of southern-drawl-Nelson
I think I'd gaslighted myself into thinking you'd already released this remaster.
Wait! Gibb!
I, admittedly, wish y'all kept the Sturgeon General joke.
(But don't get me wrong this is still extremely lovely)
Watching this after Saberspark's latest video on the Muppets hits different
I was wondering who was voicing the rabbit, saw the credits and went "ooooohhhh" XD
...such peak!
Ok but is there lore around Greg and Tina?
Please respect their privacy
If only Mike had been elected Prime minister of Canada.
Also, impressive Aussie accent!
Is this Gibb’s canon origin?
