Her Celine Dion impersonation-the physicality, the mannerisms, and the octave-spanning voice-was simply unparalleled. Her ability to be improvisational and impromptu was extraordinary. Her banter and connection with the audience was magical. (All this while spoofing an 11-time Oscar-winning film that essentially everyone on the planet has seen.) It’s all coming back to us now! For uber-believably channeling the iconic Canadian chanteuse in the spell-bindingly creative musical TITANIQUE, the judges have awarded an Obie for Performance to MARLA MINDELLE.
