The drainage operation of the Tuanzhou embankment started on Tuesday following the closure of a 226-meter breach in the dike at Dongting Lake, China's second-largest freshwater lake in Hunan Province, on Monday night.

The only reason they were able to stop the breech was because all the water drained out of the lake and the flow stopped.

China should have final solutions of flooding permanenly with all the weather satellite in place time for engineers makes houses higher than the sea level in case flooding can't be prevented

good job and congratulations to the repair crew for their efforts. this situation is similar to Hurricane Katrina in the US and even Hurricane Beryl today. because of extreme weather a repair crew must always be ready with equipment, rocks, gravel, sand etc.

The repair crew seems to have done a good job on repairing the breach showing the CCP can act responsibly if they wish. The first crew did a terrible job in trying to repair the breach by using Sand and Trucks instead of Bolders and Sandbags.
