Writing this before seeing the reaction: "Ambiramus" is, according to Chrigel, Gaulish language for "Voyage" (I don't know if it's a historical term or a guessed reconstruction), and the song refers to the Celtic literary tradition recorded in Ireland and other Celtic Islands, often referred as "Imramma Tales", referring to those tales in which a hero voyages (and often comes back alive) to otherworldly places, most times, some type of land of the dead or Underworld. So this, I guess, is an attempt to adapt the better recorded legends from Ireland, Wales and so, to a Gaulish context (which, sadly, there aren't much mythology left, or at least, not in the form of full, narrated legends, it happens the same to us, Spain and Portugal).
I know many people who are actually not too into this song because it sounds too "pop" - I disagree, I think it's a really fun song to have and works well with the other more technical, complex and traditional Eluveitie sounding songs. Really looking forward to the new album, been a long time coming and I'm sure the remainder of it won't disappoint. Bom trabalho e cumprimentos! PS: It was the same way some people first felt about Call of the Mountain, Rose for Epona, etc. They'll all come around.
Well, it is more Pop than the other songs of the album released till now. But it is a tradition for Eluveitie to have atleast one song which is more based around a female voice. And amongst the trio Call of the Mountain, Rose for Epona and Ambiramus it is the heaviest song. Personally Call of the Mountain is one of the songs I like the least of Eluveitie because it is the most poppy song of them. But we have to look at the original meaning of Pop which means popular. I don't think it is going to be popular in a big meaning like Disturbeds Sound of Silence cover for instance. But according to the sound it has, it can easily be a Pop song within the Metal scene. And, it is totally fine. Eluveitie makes music they love. They don't make music for the money. I think one can clearly see that. P.S.: And also the flute. Hoooooly. This makes me go wild.
I really like this lighter side of Eluveitie. I am not a massive fan of the band as I adore some songs and dislike others. Have to say i'm looking forward to the new album, based on Rebirth and the 2 singles.

I saw them live twice with both singers and there’s no match. Anna is just decent while the new one has an unique and trained voice.but i guess fanboys will always think that Anna is good as fabienne or even better.
What a great song from them. There is so many good bands releasing new albums in this year. Also Bloodred Hourglass is releasing new album in May. Really excited about that

I've never been more wrong in my entire life) On the side note, if you wanna hear more powerful female vocals you can try to listen to Russian band called "The Slot" and check their songs like: "fight" or "lego" or "dead stars"
