Great reaction, it is very prog and very different from what Helloween normally do, but it fits well in the album and the story which was being told, and it does grow on you. Your reaction was similar to mine, WTF lol. It is always good to see others reactions and to know when and where their perception of the song changed. You have no need to apologise for anything, it is your honest reaction which is what we all want and love about your channel. In this album is song called "King For A thousand years" which is THE song for the album. It's also propably one of the best in Andi Deris era. I hope you check it out. Occasion is complex song and I think you have to be already more in Helloween world that you get it. And even then it's different. I like this Song but it's too long for what it has to deliver. I really hope that when you next get/give Andi Deris era Helloween the song is easier and more for someone who dont listen the band normally. In every album is a rocker or two, that is great straightforward metal/heavy/rock. Edit. Ok you have done King for a thousand years live version about 4 years ago. And my UA-cam tells that Ive watched it already! I did not remember that... And you liked it
All due respect, they’ve been together all along, they just reintroduced two of their former members, and it was indeed an epic reintroduction. BUT! Plenty of fans ( mind you, fans!) behave as if Andi is some temporary distraction or a malfunction in the system. This band is here and on board thanks to him, mostly. You can’t just brush off the two and a half decades with Andi Deris when they were going strong. Geez! It still amazes me how so many people, especially in North America keep getting surprised when Helloween release a new album: “Helloween are back !!” From where, man ? From all the way back from two years ago when they released a great album ? Or from 5 years ago when they had released another great album ? Anyway, it might have been a temper tantrum on my behalf but give Helloween’s albums since 1994 a chance, there are epic things going on there, that are not inferior to their classic outputs from the late 80’s.
Sheesh, i actually forgotten about this band. I remember they were doing such approach on "Metal Jukebox". A bit silly, a bit riddiculus, some grotesuqe storytelling. Just look at the titles of songs they covered in that album. Besides this smoke literally looks like thighbone.
On the one hand, there is really good Prog Metal where everything meshes together and then there are parts that are slapped together and just don't create a coherent overall picture. And that's exactly what we have here. A series of individual song structures that just sound like shit in this way. The weakest Helloween song I've ever heard.
I guess it’s an acquired taste….I remember the first few times I listened to this album I skipped over this song because I’m very impatient and I already had my favourite song on the album I wanted to hear. But then one day I was just in the right mood I guess. It became my favourite Helloween song. You know I’ve made a few playlists, my favourite one was ‘goosebumps’. This song inspired a whole new playlist. ‘Songs that make my n!pples hurt’ lol. There’s goosebumps, and there’s GOOSEBUMPS. Try listening to it again sometime. You might change your opinion.

Helloween is the best at power metal I am grateful that the got back together in 2016

love this double album! very ambitous album even for Helloween! i mean it's the closure to keeper series... not my favorite but still under rated
