A New Patreon Experiment & Updates for 2024-2025

- In the wake of demand for Patreon requests being a lot higher than I'd anticipated, I decided it's time to update the rules for how requests will be handled going forward through the introduction of a new format.

After thinking it over for a bit, I've decided to drop the price for Some Requests I Missed slots back down to $20 until returning to the $30 pricing mentioned in this video for the next round of requests in 2025. Felt like that would be more fair to what's being paid for, given that future rounds of requests have a chance of being upgraded to full videos at my discretion and this year's full video schedule is already filled up.
I've already messaged the two people who have already paid for a SRIM request slot so far, but if they missed my message and either of them would like the extra $10 they paid for their slot to be refunded, they should please let me know so I can paypal it to them.

Unrelated, but I have 2 suggestions for playlists you could make that would be helpful for us.
1: A miscellaneous playlist containing all of your miscellaneous reviews for albums that are not part of the discography reviews. It would be very helpful to have since many of your one-offs have been buried under a lot of other content and are difficult to find.
2: A "Videos w/ In Brief Segment" playlist, which is self explanatory. The in briefs are obviously a great way for people to get a quick summary of an artist's catalogue, so it would also be quite helpful for everyone but especially newcomers.
It's obviously gonna be a bit of a hassle getting these together, so I'd be happy to compile the videos for you in a playlist that you can copy if you'd rather not bother otherwise, in order of course. Someone else has already made an in-order in brief playlist that you could copy from here: ua-cam.com/play/PLJjhGjb70UgaPlTEz2ZxY8Slme_0KzDCD.html | The only video that I know of that's not in there is the Coil - Ape of Naples review.
Would you be willing to create these? If so, maybe make them after your first Prodigy video. (IDK why that really matters but it feels like the right thing to do.)
Here is a random video idea, top patreon request albums of all time, or top 10 best music I was introduced to through patreon. Just a thought.
I'm excited for the Doopee Time review. :~). That's a genuine 10/10 front-to-back perfect album. Will be fun to hear your thoughts on it whenever the review rolls around.
My vote is for you go the route of having a more expensive tier for people to force a proper video.
I’m not well off, but I’m more than willing to save up for a more in-depth analysis, especially considering you open Patreon requests on an annual basis.

I don't think it's a good idea to add a forced request tier. You could get sent troll albums or unpleasant stuff.

He just means forced as in "not part of a Some Requests I Missed video".

I support a forced tier...as long as it sticks with electronic music. I would say some "comp albums" should be fine, but only those of various artists where the tracks were made specifically for that album, and not taken from their previous works....such as for example "Sometimes I Wish I Was Famous: A Swedish Tribute To Depeche Mode". I dont want you to review that album, I was just giving it as an example.
Honestly this just means you should increase the price more, probably double it.
I assume most people who watch me aren't the most financially well off, would rather just give out more opportunities for more people

I think it is a pretty neat idea but personally Im still not sure of how I want to procede with my potential request. When I figure out how I want to do things, I'll notify you.

Whereas if we wait until next year, there's a chance it might be a full video? Because if that's the case, I'm probably going to wait. My pick is one I would prefer to see a full video on (although of course I'm aware it would be up to your discretion).
+1 to the idea of a more expensive tier forcing a full video. I was going to suggest it myself.
