I am so sorry this happened to you.
It was not your responsibility to financially support your family as a child.
I am sorry you have trauma from this.
    ❤❤❤

I usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but wow. Some people ARE just monsters. And they just keep bringing it up? Wtf? Hard rule: NEVER force someone to relive trauma. That's what a therapist is for: a trained professional in a controlled environment.
I got in a minor collision in late 2023 and just the insurance companies calling to get my side of the story meant I could not cope for weeks.
I hope 30s you is doing ok, and I hope 10 year old you can find peace.

I'm from the South (where parents tended to be pretty hardcore about chores when I was 10), and, while my parents were hard on me (to the point of being verbally abusive), expecting me to do my chores 100% perfectly at a young age, they never once, in the any time of ever, asked me to mow the damn lawn for them, let alone FORCE ME TO MAKE MONEY FOR THEM! And keep in mind that at 10 years old, I was 5' 6"! The only time I ever mowed the lawn as a minor was when I was *17* YEARS OLD! Even then, I *volunteered* to do it! And, I don't care what some people would say, there is a HUGE cognitive difference between a 10-year-old and a 17-year-old. What I'm saying is that your parents put WAY the hell more on you than they should have. I'm sorry that your parents were like that to you.
And then, shit bags on the internet are re-traumatizing you by bringing this up *20 years later?!* Then, to add insult to even more injury, people are blaming you?! Yeah, no, that's unacceptable! I would never ask a 10-year-old to mow anyone's lawn, and if someone asked me if I wanted that, I'd say no.
Yes, the girl you accidentally injured is a victim, but so are you. It was not your fault at all. I'm glad your mom was charged with it, because that was 100% parental neglect.

There are 10 year olds who would be intentional in causing harm or trying to scare their peers, but those are the vast minority and its very weird for someone to immediately jump to that conclusion. Call me crazy, but 10 year olds should maybe be supervised when operating heavy machinery and might not be aware of things like mowing over rocks, or their dumb also-kid friends walking right in front of them. And there are a bunch of people trying to micromanage how you deal with that incident and the people involved after things have long been settled like its any of their business. Therapy is not a spectator sport
I think its understandable for people to not like your content or the way you might generally present yourself, but digging up this info to weaponize against you is hitting below the belt and completely unacceptable.

She shouldn't even pay attention to what others say. She's hurting herself. She wants to hold on to this trauma. It's the only thing she has going on in life.

Why are you holding on to past trauma? Life that boring you have nothing else to do? Grow up. Just trying to get sympathy. How much money have people sent you?

Girl, stop crying about life. I was 11 and got cancer, my dad died of cancer that same year. I won my battle while he lost his. While that happened I went through chemo and got forced to move in with my drug addict parent mom. She started charging me 600$ a month at 12 years old. Stop complaining on how rough life truly is. Grow up.

@JennieMaeJune the point I'm making is always people who lived a harder life. Stop complaining, only people who can change their lives are them. Also same to you, I don't remember asking for your input, yet here you are. Hypocrite much.

@jameswilson + While I can sympathize with your situation, & have some understanding about how hard you have had it in life, your bitterness, or lack of empathy, is disturbing, & astounding, considering what you did go through. I know you're not asking for sympathy, or understanding. But there's nothing WRONG with having human needs for empathy, praise, compassion, acceptance, & understanding. Needing basic positive shared emotion or feedback from others is human nature. It's not weak to be what you are, which is human.
You deserved empathy, & compassion, & you should have gotten that, as a terminally ill sick child, who lost their Father. You should have gotten it NO MATTER your circumstances.
But apparently the sensitivity, & compassion, that you probably would have had, if you yourself would have received a lot more of it, has been driven right out of you. That's as much a tragedy as everything else you described.
I know you didn't ask me. I realize, you may be too bitter, or "hardcore" to care. But I hope & pray, that you get every need met one way or another, including healing from trauma. And I hope & pray you find happiness, well being, & succeed at whatever you put your hand to. But above all, I pray that God restores what the locust has eaten, & the cankor worm has devoured in your life, & that he replaces your heart of stone with a heart of flesh, once again. They way you were before all the trauma, but better. In Jesus' Name.
Yes LIFE IS HARD. For most people. But that's why people need camaraderie. Not lonely, independent, & divisive strategy to get through the hard things in life.

Because the adults decided to have children. Play adult games win adult prizes like accountability and responsibility. Don't parentify children because you can't handle being an adult. You may need to talk to someone about this.
