Question: is it possible to put it on top of a laptop(e.g. Macbook pro)? Does the rubber stand at the bottom stand on the frame(of laptop keyboard) instead of triggering any keys on the laptop?

Thanks for your very good video. I have been using a regular MX Keys keyboard for more than 18 months now and I agree with you. It’s a very good keyboard. I use it on Fedora Linux and it works just fine

Nice video But it's just a remake of their previous model K811 & K812 which had better color schemes. Also one negative is that the keyboard can not connect with direct wire if you need it such as when your in safe mode. For $100 they could have added direct wire. Keyboard price will come down. Proper pricing would be around $70-80 USD.
That’s a good fact! Yeah it only works Bluetooth so if you are tying to access bios or anything sadly it won’t work. I agree on the pricing it should be around $69.99

@@maruthi04 I would pick Logitech. Since I can control both mac and windows due to having dedicated keys. And I think satechi mainly made for mac. Plus lack of customizing software. So my vote would be for Logitech 😄

It's all plastic keyboard which is looks like aluminum but no.
I use it everyday and it's a great device. In 3 device scenario the keyboard handle the switching easily and fast.

Fn and Ctl should be reversed for a true Mac layout. Now, they are in Windows layout.
It is a compromise. If I was only using mac then I would have just bought magic keyboard and mouse.

From yesterday I am on MacBook M1 pro with MX keys Keyboard. I remap my keyboard for FCP functions/shortcuts... but I can't do the same on F keys! The change affects only the embedded keyboard of the MacBook and not the MX key. Is it possible to happen also to the MX keyboard? That software you taking will help? Thanks!
Did you try switching to F keys by pressing FN + Esc key on the Logitech keys mini ?

When you switch devices using the shortcut on the keyboard, does the mouse automatically switch along with it? Like for example from laptop to tablet... do you press the switch device button for each (keyboard/mouse)?
No it doesn’t.
But to do that you need Logitech flow software. When you trigger the switch though flow. Then it switches both mouse and keyboard simultaneously.

Hi thanks for the wonderful video. I just got one myself and noticed plugging in the USB C cable does nothing. The power LED is neither light up nor blinking (either when power is on or off). Wondering if this is by design or mine is faulty? Also the Options software won't show "charging" but "battery level is good". Thanks

Not sure if I follow. if you try and put this keyboard on the top with laptop lid open then it will definitely trigger keys on the MacBook Pro.
@@aslamsean Yes that is what I mean. As MacBook ‘s keyboard is flat (same level as the frame), Some keyboard can be put on the frame without touching the MacBook keys, so that u can use it without any problem. But if confirm mx keys mini cannot be put on MacBook(without touching MacBook’s keys), I wouldn’t buy it. Could you please confirm that? Thanks
@@clifflin7149 nope that did not work. It kept locking the laptop. What you need is a laptop stand so you can adjust your laptop height. I did mention the nulaxy laptop stand it in my top accessories video.

Who will bother the Touch ID if you feel it's not the price? 149 touch ID 99 without it. Mx keys mini doesn't have it right?
back light can make sense, but I am sure most people will turn off for better battery life
Well the point I was trying to make was this is a great keyboard for someone who has multiple devices. If you only have 1 apple device then by all means go for the magic keyboard but if you have multiple devices and like to switch quickly between then this is the way to go.
yeh, i'm switching cos i need multi device. I'll mostly use on my home computer but sometimes if i need to use my work laptop, i just want to switch instantly. the flow software looks crazy good.
