- What is a better daily driver than a Mazda CX5? That's right - The brand new Chevrolet 1500 ZR2!!
G from Big Dog Builds is proving how versatile this 1500 platform can be as a daily driver / weekend tourer. Loading the kids in the back for school runs daily then hitting the tracks on weekend to give R&D feedback to the team has got the workshop talking.
If you want a great sounding, amazing looking truck that can toy the toys and handle the adventure playgrounds we have around Australia, the CHEV 1500 ZR2 needs to be one to consider.
The ZR2 boasts a factory suspension upgrade and lift, front and rear diff lockers and a high clearance exterior package on top of the newly launched interior design that rivals any traditional ute on the market.
We have completed an exterior appearance package, tonneau cover, suspension adjustment, wheel and tyre combination, exhaust upgrade and an electric side step install making this truck look great and ready to go even further than the factory model.
Not sure what stage 2 will bring but stay tuned and find out what we launch next for ZR2 owners!
That’s the best wheel tire combo I have seen on a zr2 yet. Love it.
We agree!
Cleanest ZR2 I've seen yet. Favorited this video because those wheels and that stance, beautiful.
Appreciate that
Nearly got one of these, great vehicle, just thought the ram 1500 had a slightly better interior build quality. Looking forward to seeing what you guys do with it.
We don’t even know what we are doing either 🤣👌
Like the simplicity and look that you have done so far.. wondering if there is an electronic suspension setup like the carli?
I don't believe there is yet.
Cool look! Similar wheel and tire combo to mine
Very cool!
@@bigdogbuilds check out ADD's new front bumper for the truck, it's sooo sick
do you have a video on how to install the spacers to the front bumper or the link to get them?
No, sorry, we don't.
What color/brand are you using for the flowtie to color match to the black chrome on the grill? I want to do this to my ZR2.
Wheels and Tire SIze?
Did you upgrade the UCA’s with the level?
With that wheel/tire setup, how has it affected articulation? Do the rear tires still tuck into wheel wells?
Did you all do the 2 piece collar level or the 1 piece? If it is the 2 piece which option did you go with, the 1/2" or 3/4" collar? Thanks
What size rims and tires ? And name of rims and tires they look badass
Method 318 17x8.5 +0 with 35” toyo muds 👌
Where did you get your fender flares? I enjoy the low profile look
Thank you 🙏🏽
They come out of the factory this way 😲
Hey man I have a zr2 as well and I love that combo! What parts do you use to fit those 35’s without removing the multimatic?
@@merrickivey6465 best value would be peak levelling kit. We also did bumper spacer as well ✌️
The way that it should be ... 😘🙏🏻
So what suspension options are there to increase the gcm and gvm. Can I use this platform to tow a 3.5t van and still make it all legal and comfortable. For someone who doesn't want a 2500 I see the 1500 as a viable option.
what brand is the rear light bar ?
what brand is that Tonneau Cover?
Have you come up with a Tub rack build yet ?
You should give us a call.
Next mod needs to be a Norweld Delux Tray....
This is solid advice.
How much worse is the ride now with the level and E range tires?
I’m afraid to touch mine because the suspension setup is so expensive I don’t want to mess it up
No worse at all
What leveling kit is used on it ? I want to install 35s so bad
peak
What wheels and what’s the specs?
How tall is this beast? Lookin to do same if it will still fit in garage.
standby we will measure it.
2.1 Metres.
@@bigdogbuilds nice. Wanna sell it?
It's just 1 letter, not 3 or more
V8 Chevy's sound better than Fords IMO
Did you upgrade the UCA’s with the level?
