According to recent cricket news and developments, South Africa Cricket Board has decided to boycott Champions Trophy matches against Afghanistan. This news comes after England Cricket Board also raised their voice against playing with Afghanistan in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Before, Australia Cricket Board also raised similiar stances, to not play with Afghanistan in ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Australia Cricket Board also went to the extent to even cancel the bilateral odi series against Afghanistan. Australian cricket team was supposed to play a n odi series against Afghanistan but it was cancelled. All the three teams and their respective cricket boards have one and only concern because of which they are boycotting Afghanistan in cricket matches and the reason is Afghnistan not having a Women's Cricket Team. Earlier, there was an Afghnistan Women's Cricket Team but after the take over of Afghanistan by the Taliban, the women's team was made dysfunctional. The women's cricket team players were also threatened against playing any kind of sports, leave alone Cricket. England Cricket Board, Australian Cricket Board, and now South African Cricket Board have uninamouslly raised their opinions on not playing with Afghanistan in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
But the main question here is, is it justified to not play against the men's Afghanistan team because of the taliban's pressure not to recognise any Afghanistan women's team ??
