Love that stool added to the stand! My stand is getting old maybe I can talk my husband into making the next one with a built in stool.

Carpentry is so much fun. Especially when you have to figure the best way to make something from scrap you have laying around. The end product doesn't always turn out as fancy when you use scrap, but it's functional and cost effective. Great video, Danny.

What a great design. I love the stool to sit on. My husband built me a stand that allows me to stand straight up and milk to protect my back and knees. The goat runs up to the third level and slips her head through a keyhole opening and eats from a big dog dish. The grain is stored under the stand in barrels. It works well after they're trained to trust me and be that high up. Thanks for all you and Wanda do. 💗

Love the milk stand. You would be surprised what you can make out of scrap lumber. We don't through much away around here. You just never know when it might come in handy. Great job Danny.

We love that you Repurpose-Recycle-Reuse! While we don't have goats, this is so interesting, just because you fully explain what you are doing. You have the heart of a teacher! ~ Kir and Ron in Tennessee

Find an old door knob and secure it from the backside with a carriage bolt? Then use the set screw to keep it from unscrewing

I put a rubber mat on the top of my goat stand. That way it can be hosed off.

Instead of making a hole, why not a vertical heat stock, like is used for cows? With one board that could be slid/pivoted over to sort of lock the head in? And would work for any height of goat as well...

Put a little hay on top of feed. Will give you a lot more time to milk while they sift through for the feed

    Danny,
I need help. I’m trying to build along with you but I’m missing a measurement. How far down from the bottom of the circle do you make the 4” slot?

Who better to design a milk stand for goats than someone who has milked a lot of goats.
