    What wonderful grandparents to make sure their granddaughter was part of this build. This is a memory she will take with her her entire life!❤️

    It is wonderful how you are teaching you daughter to build things! My dad did that with me when I was a teen and I sure appreciate it now that he has been gone for many years.

    Fantastic! That is one thing that I wish I had. My parents actually were carpenters, but with their ministry, they didn't do anything like that because they were busy, and now that they're over 60 and their health isn't as good as it once was, they wouldn't be able to do stuff like this anymore. And so I have to be the one to learn to do it myself and teach my kiddos.

    Hey Aust! If the goats are still slipping or stumbling on that ramp you might want to check out Weed em and Reap's latest ramp. They added "expanded metal." I'm not sure if it's the same as stucco netting or something else but I thought you should know.

    That is great work.
    I think though the goats back hooves need trimming and if they were flat she would get up easier. She just looked that they were a little slippery.

    do you actually have plans from this build

  • @IttyBitty1973
    @IttyBitty1973 5 років тому +1

    I would rub down the wood with some food grade mineral oil so if they urinate on it the urine would get repelled instead of the wood absorbing it just to help it last longer

  • @pirateotter

    They catch on so fast. The first time I got my ewe on the stand I thought I was going to die😅 I was so frustrated. Then a few days later it clicked and she jumped right up. Good building video.

    dont waste your time pre drilling, just buy good screws, with GRK wood screws you can put a #8 screw in with in a 1/4" of the end of a hard wood board and never crack the wood, GRK screw are self drilling self reaming of the top board cleaning out the saw dust as you drive the screw in, witch prevents the top board from pulling away... the head also has a self counter sinking cutters on the under side of the tapered head, dont for get they also have them in stainless steel as well as large head screw that take the place of old style lag screw with out the big bulky head, available with plating for out doors or stainless, also look at the door shimming screws, no wooden shims needed, and fast adjustment at any time,, huge product line, including colored screws that look like a finishing nail for putting trim on. GRK also has the best style of metal roofing./siding gasket screw, with a head design that will not rip your ass wide open if you were to slip down the roof... .that was started here in thunder bay Ont. Canada, with an 18 volt screw impact you can drive about 250 standard screws 4 inchs long #10, the same 18 volt impact screw gun you can drive over 800 on one battery, with power to spare, now this test was done using the only brand of cordless drills and impact screw guns i ever buy any more, because they have a life time warranty on everything, including batteries and that is the combo kit of Ridgid in fact that is the only brand i buy in copper pipe cutter, flaring tools, pipe wrench and many other tools and power tools, but you must register your products online with in 20 days of buying it..i dont thing there will be much milking happening by the young lady, not for a few years any way, sure it will start of with good excitment, but will end as fast as it started..just my experiences.
