    Hello Bro: Please Make a video about your experience with Bird Scooter. I had bad experiences with both companies. They need to update their apps. They are very buggy. I could not "serve" 5 limes. 3 would not charge and I reported it to Lime and they told me to drop them at a public location. The next morning I could not serve all 5 of the limes. The lime app was saying Opps something went wrong for like 40 minutes. I reported the issue and Lime would not pay me for my effort and they have not responded to my emails.
    As for Bird, The App navigation little more strict than lime. It always says 30ft away and 16 ft away. It has taken me 20 minutes just to release 1 bird. Downtown Nashville is going through a lot of construction and streets are blocked off. In this situation, I had to drive to a different nest.
    Also, People hide the scooters inside buildings. So you will be making a few blank trips.

      I havent had too many problems with Lime. Once in a while, I get the "oops something went wrong" message too. I just try it again a few more times until it works. Bird's app is horrible, and the scooters are so much harder to find on the map. Atleast Limes app is more accurate. I always zoom in before I navigate to make sure the scooter isnt inside of a building. Its not right. I think people store Birds in their house until they become $20 ones and they recover it themselves? With Lime, you can atleast chirp it to annoy the person holding it hostage. Both companies have their flaws, but I found that Lime is less stressful to do. Maybe I will make a video comparing the two. I honestly havent had that mucb experience with Bird. The first time I did it, I quickly realized that I didnt like it

      @@RideShareTips Just wanted to followup ... Lime apologized and sent me the funds for the scooters I tried to charge and serve. The customer service reps are backed logged with customer inquiries. Lime also stated that if this happens again, bring the scooter to their main hub and they will give me $8 per scooter.

    What? WHAT?
    I drive one of the softest markets in the country (Houston) and pull down WAY more than that. If I only made $500 in 20 hours of driving, I'd quit on the spot!
    I spend plenty of time in traffic with the sun in my eyes for my day job. I only drive Uber/Lyft/Doordash after dark/overnight. I focus on high-demand locations like the airport queue and nigh-club districts. I refuse to even consider driving a Prius (customers HATE them). I bought a QX60 just for ride-sharing, which allows UberXL, Uber Select, LyftXL, and LyftLux, for much higher-ticket fares. I almost always get tipped, not one puny dollar a week! (You don't seem like an asshole to me, unless everyone in LA who uses Uber is a chintzy asshole). The payment/insurance on the Infinity is covered in one to two nights of driving, so it's not like I broke the bank or had to be super rich to qualify for the premiums. I also work VERY VERY hard to keep my car nice for riders and go out of my way to make the ride pleasant and memorable for passengers. I shop-vac the whole car before leaving the house, go through a car wash when I fill it up before starting, wipe down all the seats with leather conditioner to keep them luxurious and soft, clean every other surface with Lysol wipes, and douse the interior with Febreeze just before each pickup (Ozeum is NASTY shit and I only use it if I end up with a really rancid passenger stinking up the car). I also keep my sunroof/skylight shades open all the time, use a old tablet with the passenger's name blinking for pickups, keep lots of color-coded cell phone chargers handy and detangled, pair a tablet with the stereo for a "passenger jukebox" (UA-cam/Pandora/iHeartRadio/Spotify/Plex), carefully explain the a/c zone controls when they get in, ask about the route (and warn that changing the route may change the fare from the estimate), ALWAYS ask before taking a toll road, I carry hospital-type vomit bags with rigid plastic necks for nauseous drunks, help with luggage on airport runs, get the doors/seats for people on premiums (which still only represent 10-20% of my rides), and on and on and on. My passenger rating is a 4.96 and I rarely pull down less than $50/week in tips alone. 10-12 hours of overnight weekend driving pulls down about $300 and an 8-10 hour weekday night is good for $150-$200.I refuse to waste time and gas scrambling around town chasing surges. I just head that direction if I see one and hope for the best. $500 in 20 hours would never be worth the effort to me.

      Hey Jason. According to your math, you make 20 an hour on the weekdays. That's worse than what I made in this video. How come you haven't quit on the spot?! And hey, say what you want about the Prius, but its a great car. I haven't had any customers complain about it. And even if they did, screw them. I'm getting 47 MPG, so I'm the winner, even if you think I'm a loser haha. It sounds like you're doing way too much with your vehicle. At the end of the day, you're just an Uber driver, not a limo service. I don't feel the need to go above and beyond for my customers and spoil them with snack and water, or any of the things you've listed. I have over 4k trips under my belt with a 4.92 rating. But you are making good money with Tips, so good for you. Whatever works. I've always gotten more tips with Lyft than Uber. Best of luck

    • @BigLifeWithLitlJay
      @BigLifeWithLitlJay 5 років тому

      @@RideShareTips Hey, I don't begrudge anyone for driving and liking a Prius. My hourly average may come up below $25 per hour sometimes on a weekday but my weekly average is closer to $35 per hour ($1200-$1500/week for 30-35 hours of driving). People may be polite while riding in a Prius but I cannot tell you the number of people who have gotten into my car and told me how much they hate it when a Prius pulls up and they have to cram themselves in there, especially airport pickups where they've been crammed in an airplane seat for hours. I also do not go to the trouble of providing snacks and drinks and so forth because I do consider that an unnecessary expense and it gives people an opportunity to make my car into a mess, especially the drunk ones. I just go to a little bit of extra effort to provide a clean and pleasant car. It pays off, with very little time or financial expense on my part. I take pride in being the best at what I do, no matter what it is. It's not "just uber" to me. I learned very quickly when I first started driving that passengers are paying half the price of a taxi cab and expecting a limousine. So I started providing a limousine. I may not have a stocked bar but I provide a memorable experience that gets me good tips and good ratings and earns me mountains of extra money. I'm not sure what you mean by doing too much with a car but I live in a geographically huge city and drive typically more than 2000 miles a week for Uber and my day job combined. If I didn't think the car could hold up to the punishment, I would replace it immediately.
      Your channel is awesome, bro. I have learned a lot of useful tips (I'm especially happy with my Vantrue N2 Pro), but I have also learned a lot from you and other UA-cam Rideshare drivers and other drivers around Houston about what not to do. Advice that is valid for Los Angeles or San Francisco or St Louis is not going to be a hundred percent accurate for Houston. I've learned what works well here and love doing it.
      You live in Los Angeles, if I understand you correctly, where the cost of living is astronomical compared to Houston. It boggles my mind to see a video that headlined earning $500 in 20 hours as a huge accomplishment. I've been doing well better than that since my first week and I don't think that I'm special because of it. I think anybody could if they were willing to take the extra steps and put in the extra effort for it, particularly in the west coast and East Coast markets where the pay is considerably higher per mile and per minute.
      I never settle. It's your prerogative to do so. I'll do me and you do you.
