    My father has a napoletan friend and sometimes he sends us this cake, and I can confirm that it is truly deliscious!

    I tried Pastiera for the first time a couple of months ago and it is my favourite italian dessert.
    I'd love to see a Torta della nonna recipe

    Yummy Yummy....I love this cake.
    We always make it with aqua mille fiori...this flavor is so unique and beautiful but even hard to find in Napoli. I'm happy to have family there.

    My family from Abruzzo used rice with a dozen egg yolks only. For a month after Easter we made nothing but Angel food cakes to use up the whites !!

    will be making this soon for the pastry can i use vegan butter and for the filling can i use almond milk / vegan butter and ricotta i need to find some of the ingredients in Singapore i never had pastiera napoletana before perfect for my birthday next year on 19 September and after office snacks love your recipes making me hungry Thanks Ramya

      @@nygreek743 no sorry there's a difference between carmalized and burnt. This is burnt and any baker worth his salt would never sell this to a customer.
