Whodini was one of my favorite rap groups of all time and their music was a mixture of R&B, funk, and hip-hop blended together. Sadly, they didn't get the notoriety they deserved. Five Minutes of Funk, One Love, Friends, Escape, and The Freaks Come Out At Night were a cut above the rest!

I found out about what happened to him on the 50 years of hip hop documentary. Very sad and this group is underrated for real and they had an impact on hip hop when hip hop was in its infancy. They were also pioneers. It was disappointing to find out they didn’t have a good record deal and their record label did shady things. Smh! I met Ecstasy at Ross's in Fayetteville, Georgia 5 years ago and just to be respectful, I waited until after he got off the phone and said " You look like the guy from Whodini" and he replied " Im him" and he asked my name & then we gave me fist and that was my last image of him and then I found out at work that he died. I really hope that Jermaine dupri or somebody from jive records funded his funeral because the family needed money for his memorial because I saw it in an email. I saw them at the Flashback Fest 14 YEARS AGO and that snake dance they did in unison was the BEST that I've seen in a snake dance routine since the Soul Train era when I was coming up back in the day.

I met Ecstasy at Ross's in Fayetteville, Georgia 5 years ago and just to be respectful, I waited until after he got off the phone and said " You look like the guy from Whodini" and he replied " Im him" and he asked my name & then we gave me fist and that was my last image of him and then I found out at work that he died. I really hope that Jermaine dupri or somebody from jive records funded his funeral because the family needed money for his memorial because I saw it in an email. I saw them at the Flashback Fest 14 YEARS AGO and that snake dance they did in unison was the BEST that I've seen in a snake dance routine since the Soul Train era when I was coming up back in the day.
