I really like them and their arrangement of the song. I've been watching this clip on and off for yrs.
oh man, My wife passed away this year.. look i tell ya she loved lion king and this was one of her favourite songs... played at her funeral and I started crying Listening to this, it made me happy but It sounded so good. I wish I had come across this earlier to show her we loved looking at things like this.. Miss you em 1987-2010 rip.
I love Ysgol Glanaethwy, they should have won. i think there amazing every time i here them sing i get goosbumps.
Wow, what a passionate rendition of an outstanding arrangement!
This is actually the best choral performance I've seen of this so far. It's the chest voice that makes the difference. Sure, you can have pretty harmonies but without the power behind your voice you just don't get the right feeling. I don't think I saw a single black person in this choir and yet the spirit of Africa could definitely be heard.
brought tears to my eyes, goosebumps on my arms, and a smile to my face (: great choir!
Excellent mix of voices, excellent soloists, excellent energy. How did this choir not win?!?
why this choir never won the show is beyond me! they are spectacular :-)
there sooooooooo gooooooooooooooood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i love that song
Wow they are great, just a beautiful sound, beautiful outfits too!! I love how they're not all the same.. but so different and stylish at the same time! Brillant! Also I love their expressions and energy through the whole song.. I'm completely at awe.. they are amazing!
im its tough almost a year now, and im very reflective right this stage, i guess just realising how young and how sudden it all was will never get ov er that pain, but thank the people that make music like this, i dunno what ild do if i culdnt sing at work all day to stuff that makes ya feel a bit better. just wish there was an answer for things though, where how who .. theres just no answers.
Why oh why have the BBC not recommisioned this fantastic contest?! The whole series was an absolute joy to view & one of the few rare gems from the Beeb which I actually re-arranged my diary for in order not to miss it.Come on,'Aunty',earn your exorbitent licence fee & bring this back.
@countryqueen77 She was singing from the start but the microphone wasn't turned on ! The words missed were " From the..." then the mike picked up " day we arrive on this planet...." when it was turned on so it was the production teams cock-up !
@kumavram the soloist at the start is not prayin dude, she is singin the start of the song, and her mic hasn bn switched on!! she got an amazing voice!! it was completely live
Absolutely awesome, very talented and should have won the comp, the female singer that sings the main part is really gorgeous
I definitely agree about Mr. 1:12. Totally the talk of the town out west here in San Jose, California
For some reason this video and song just makes me smile, and for a moment I think there is hope for mankind.
gospel is the best music. since i joined my gospelchoir at home i like this music more than every other kind of music. this choir is the better one than the boychoir, who won the final...:)

Performances and songs such as this will allow you to win this. The competition is yours to lose!

Wow this is soo good... Always gives me chill bumps listening to them. Wouldn't it be amazing to be part of that??
AWESOME ALL!!
they're the best choir in the competition, hands down!!
These guys are brilliant and deserve to be in the final as do the other two choirs. I can't wait for Saturday and whatever happens, there better be a CD from Cor Glanaethwy soon. Good luck to Glanaethwy and I hope they win, they've done themselves proud.
Yes I would!!
best versions i've heard..
they are really good..

These guys were just pipped at the post by Only Men Aloud. Only Men Aloud won the competition with the final song, which was amazing.

fantastic
beautiful thank you thak you
Great. Very Great
If you've done your research, you know that YG is essentially an extra curricular performing arts program. what they do is the choir. They're damned good! However, ACM is a multi disciplined school. Those kids are singers, guitarists, bass players, horn players etc who do the choir in their "spare" time. Given the time that the ACM kids have to devote to the choir in addition to their normal studies, I think they're marvelous!
Fri
Amazing it touched me whit a unique special way...
A very very good choir!! Looking forward to their first concert on the 30th!!
wow it is great i love it very mutch
This is such an unusual arangement. I remember my school choir performing a Lion King medley a few years ago.

Try watching the Philippine Madrigal Singers "Circle of Life" Version. They totally blew the minds of the Europeans in the Choral Grand Prix.

0:07 cuuuute :) Mua :)
Yeah you're right
the mic wasnt turned on for her solo part....!!she is an amazing singer!! :)
AMAZING ! +______+
In my eyes this was a shambles.
Beautifully and sensitively sung - especially considering the pressure that they were under! (Pagent Queen has chosen an apt epitaph for herself!)
Let's not forget they are a bunch of Welsh guys. I'm an African but I would never expect them to get the African chants. I think they did well
Lyrics for opening line: "hear me now the penguin in the parlour"
AMAZING :) VERY GOOG :)!!!!!!
Glee haven't a patch on these fantastic guys!
yea hahah shes wellllllllllll into it!!
0:13 - The African lady is like "This is my shit right here"...
She’s British
they are indeed
Wait until you hear The Philippine Madrigal Singers version of this song. They are the two-time grand champion in Grand Prix Chorale Competition.
@monnakaable Hahaha, that's so true, I thought I was going to throw up when our choir did it. It sounded like they were saying "In the valley I'm named gala." It was quite a long standing joke.
Wow
Aw, I love the conductor haha
Someone in 2021 🎸✅
ACM i would say were AWESOME but idk, theres something about these guys - they just have this energy about them!!
few rides in there!
@JonnyUnion Translated: Here comes a lion, father. or a leopard and a lion come to this place. Either or.
@busterozzie
It is beautiful - how is it going for you - it's been 4 years for me and I'm still sad when I hear stuff I know he would have loved ---
@brethynda123 I know! I'm always coming back to the performances on UA-cam
