My thoughts exactly!!! I did the same with huda some years ago when they had not even launched in India.. I ordered online and the shade I received was not at all flattering... Even on Indian fair skin which I have... Some shades are just meant for caucasians
Pillow talk only works for a very few skin tones. I am the fairest of the fair yet I look like a skeleton wearing that shade. I will stick with my reds/bright pinks. I am not one that follows the trends. ❤️❤️❤️😘😘
I am so fair that the joke is I'm pale blue, people stop me in the street to tell me how fair I am - like I don't know 😂. The original pillow talk is cool toned and I am cool toned so for me it is like my lips but better. So anyone fair to medium with a cool undertone and most with a neutral undertone can wear it. If you are warm toned it will not work, which is why she ended up making other shades. So you have to know your undertone to pick suitable lipstick I cannot wear anything on the warm spectrum like orange or orange-reds and warm pinks. I literally look sick and they make my teeth look a weird colour in pictures. She makes amazing powders for super fair skin, which is not a surprise looking at Charlotte.
If you can spend (not a necessity but if you would like to treat yourself) pillowtalk medium is a great color for medium skintone. And the lipstick cannot be compared with some other . It is actually lovely the way it smells, glides on the lips so smoothly and keeps the lips hydrated. It is absolutely light weight. So it is not a fomo. It is a great product if you can afford it
you can Better suited shades for less. earth tonnes which look far better on Indian skin. there's nothing special about the ct formula and i own atleast three from that ,but it's not transfer proof nor is it rich in pigment like mac or ysl.

Whenever you call yourself OG grany i cannot hold my laughter 😅 The only lipstick I ever got from Charlotte Tilbury is The walk of no shame. That colour suits my skin tone as I am fair with warm undertone. But will I die not buying it ? No because it has nothing basically which other lipsticks done. The lipstick is sheer and does not stay for very long. Therefore I can go with Revlon and Chambor lipsticks. They have upgraded themselves so well. They have my heart.

i personally charlotte tilbury lipstick i have finished most too. i like there shade, how should i define it they shade give soft, elegant look. not in the face look. i think there red give very soft vibe i did not get the same effect in others brand. believe me i tried many even korean. that why i have all its collection. i like its matte revolution more as it has hydration not too matte as we have dry as hell lipstick. some of my fave shades are supermodel, pt medium, wedding belle, mrs kiss, mi kiss secret salma. i tried rare beauty , pat mcgrath, too faced, kay beauty, milani, flower, sugar etc. i think after charlotte tilbury the huda beauty has unique and different effect shades.

I'm fair Indian... And I loved this shade.
It doesn’t even last long. So true.
So true. Her colors are not flattering on warm skin tone.
I agree, I have light olive skin and this colour is a dingy brown and looks dry on my lips, so not what I was hoping for
What color are you wearing? It looks stunning on you!
It actually looks nice on you! I bought PT lipstick on ebay I am fair and it doesn't look great, and doesn't last long
I think it looked good on you💖, if you just want something natural. Perhaps for a no-makeup makeup day or when you want more focus on the eyes.
It’s nice if I put it on top of a dark brown lipstick . Otherwise , by its own, skin looked washed out.
I look awful in nude lipstick. And Charlotte Tilbury is so overpriced anyway.
I love the shades that you featured.
I got pillow talk set from a friend as a birthday present. Most of it washed me out, the eye pallet mainly! I loved the blusher bronze tho.
I have CT Pillow Talk, a gift from my friend. True, it's not the best color for medium warm skin tone. The medium Pillow Talk is more suitable for me.
Omg love your attitude. Yes…we need an anti influencer influencing us. Who needs Creme DeLa Mer when you can use Vaseline and look wayyyyyyy better 😊
I was waiting for someone to said this. The moment I swatched it in store i thought what is this so overhyped? Its nothing great especially on brown skintone.
Whenever you call yourself OG grany i cannot hold my laughter 😅
The only lipstick I ever got from Charlotte Tilbury is The walk of no shame.
Looks so much better than the red you are wearing to be honest...looks soft and natural the red is harsh against the skin tone.
Thank you it helps me save up
Pillowtalk looks good on me kinda like my lips but better, but if shweta says its not that flattery, it is NOT FLATTERY ... I really look over to you as my fairy godmother ❤❤❤..
No no hahaha pls no ... All subjective.. I’m so happy it suits you ❤️
It is a good colour, but i think the price is a Lil too high... If you wanna give away your CT, I'll be happy to get it 🤭
Just kidding 😊😊
Hey dear, try it with a brown lipliner and it will look million times better. Hope it helps 💕
i have... with brown, red and burgundy. Im not denying it being pretty...its not universally flattering like it claims to be and hyped. I prefer pillow talk 2❤❤
Oh ok, makes sense then! I agree it’s not a universal shade though. Glad to hear from you. Have a great day!
i personally charlotte tilbury lipstick i have finished most too. i like there shade, how should i define it they shade give soft, elegant look. not in the face look. i think there red give very soft vibe i did not get the same effect in others brand. believe me i tried many even korean. that why i have all its collection. i like its matte revolution more as it has hydration not too matte as we have dry as hell lipstick. some of my fave shades are supermodel, pt medium, wedding belle, mrs kiss, mi kiss secret salma. i tried rare beauty , pat mcgrath, too faced, kay beauty, milani, flower, sugar etc. i think after charlotte tilbury the huda beauty has unique and different effect shades.
thanx for saying this out loud... simply not for indian pigmented skin
I’m fair but pillow talk is so dark on me it’s a bit 90s! Not my bag - not my nude anyway!
Please please tell me your lipstick shade. I have been dying to buy a good red lipstick which suits Indian skintone the most
Hello where's that necklace from ? Please give me link to buy, it's so pretty and looks so pretty on you omg!! absolutely love it
Pillow Talk comes in three shades, the OG shade, medium and deep.
Yes I have them all
I have medium/ tan cool undertone south Asian skin colour, and on me pillowtalk just pulls too bright and warm of a pink on me. As a nude lover for me very victoria turned out to be more ideal and love it.
What red lipstick are you wearing? I love the shade!
Babes, CTB pillow talk comes in three different shades. Original, medium and deep. Still doesn’t justify the insane price tag though.
