Celeste Silva they have a recall in the engine for 2013-14 sonatas, and they will replace it for free if it goes out, even after warranty. FOR FREE. I’m a victims lol
An Elantra with 165k is not even broken in yet. No offense but that Elantra will still be on the road long after your Mercedes is dead in the scrap yard. Awesome car. Hope you enjoy it.
Would you recommend buying a 2011 Elantra like that with 140k miles? (In 2020) looks just like that. (I checked it out today, in good shape) I’m debating. He says he won’t go lower than $5,500. Thank you for any advice.
Good buy. Bought a brand new elantra in 2016. Have 193k miles and am only in it a fuel pump, driver side window control unit and two trunk latches beyond regular maintenance. They are great cars. Update: now at 217k miles. No more repairs. Hearing some bushing creak. May finally have to replace the tie rods soon.

Hyundai & Kia are great cars today. My 2011 Hyundai sonata base model has more options than a base Mercedes, BMW, Acura & Infiniti of the same year. Style, comfort, gas mileage, power, tech package & great long warranty all for a cheaper price than the so called "luxury" brands; Bluetooth, Xm radio, mp3, steering wheel radio & phone controls, tire pressure monitor, power mirrors, telescopic steering, leather seats...the list goes on in the base model Sonata gsl. Camry, Accord and Altima are way overpriced for the same options.
Do you still have this car? Did it give you any major problems? I love the look of these cars but I really want a car that’s reliable and will come with no problems.
LOL I'm a car guy yet I was only excited about whipping around this same model elantra with like 22k on it as a rental. It felt like a go cart compared to all the family sized sedans my family owns, and a huge difference from my mercedes in ride/comfort. It was a pretty shitty car though and our mazda 3 which had some accident repair is a much better car than an Elantra. After posting this comment I did realize what you meant though. He is way into the details on this Elantra lol.
Samamah Mohammed Sure the Mazda 3 is a much better car, but my wife is a new driver too and immediately got into an accident, wish it was in some beater Elantra -_-
Hey man, the great thing is that you CAN'T LOOSE MONEY on this car, even if you use it for years, you can still sell it for the same price you bought it.
Watching this video made me smile. When we went to buy our Elantra around 10 yrs ago they had this exact colour on display in the showroom.. My wife immediately fell in love with it......but I thought it was a bit girly so I bought a silver one instead. She's never forgiven me ever since lol. I think it's a beautiful unique colour and really regret not buying it for her. So I hope your wife is enjoying hers Our Elantra is over 10yrs old now and has done over 100K and still drives like a dream. Great, reliable car
I have an 08 Elantra with a quarter million miles on it. It runs terrific and takes me anywhere around the country I wish to go. I bought it 4 years ago for fourteen hundred bucks with 180 thousand miles on it. It seems to run better now then when I bought it! I only do basic fluid changes When needed and 1 tune up done last year.
I've had two Hyundais and I'm convinced they make a great car at a very reasonable price. I've never owned a German luxury car but have many friends that have. They were very expensive to repair once the warranty expired. I'm talking thousands of dollars a yr. Some have switched to Japanese Luxury cars and I'm not hearing nearly the complaints. Me, I'd rather sock the money I save and retire at 55.
Thanks for the video. I have this car and so far 35k miles on it and I love it. It is nice to see the reliability I have to look forward to . I'm glad the car still runs nice. Ignore the haters, they are just fanboys of a different brand and hate on all other brands. I don't even believe that they ever even road in one let alone owned or rented one.
It looks like that car had minor rear end damage in the past. The rear bumper looks like it may have been painted, especially when you go past the rear corner on the passenger side @ 3:56. Also, those tires are the WORST thing I ever had in my car. It came with them when I bought it and, even though they were brand new, I had to change them a day after buying it for a set of Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 because they simply couldn`t handle even a minor puddle at speed
condensation is normal in taillights of hyundai's! lol my genesis coupe had tons, i literally had to drain the taillight and re silicone it. now its good though
Bumpers often look different colors from the rest of the car because they are plastic, but since it's a metallic color it could also be changing in the light. At around 3:52 you can see that it's the same color as the trunk but the trunk fades to the color of the side of the car.
MyNameIsPhil nah. My 2016 accent both front and rear bumpers are different shades of silver where my whole body is silver. Just how the paint lays on these bumpers. Look at any newer car very closely you'll drive yourself crazy trying to figure out why. That's just how it is unfortunately.
No idea why this video popped up on my recommended, but I just got a 2008 elantra and I love it. Super economical and very solid. Love your videos, man, Keep it up!
@ 8:50 correct a 1.8 4 cylinder. Produces 148 hp and 131 torque. Nice car and such a great price! You should replace the shocks with that Milage. Trust me ,you'll notice a huge difference.
I am curious to know how this car looked when the original owner brought it in to the dealer. The car does look remarkably well for one that has 166,000 miles on it.
it's because of the high mileage. High mileage deprecate a cars vaule very quickly. My 09 Prius has a 164,000 miles on it and it's currently only worth $4,000 compared one with 89k miles on it would be worth 6k-7k
ferndog1461 I recommend a 2011 Hyundai Elantra. Awesome safety, economy, luxuries, quality, etc. If you want a newer infotainment system get a 2013-2014 model year.
currently fixing my 2013 elantra, i just got in a crash and they were telling us to total it since repairs were over $5k! me and my dad instead brought it to his home garage and are almost done fixing it completely for under $1500-1600. great experience and the car’s reliable daily drivability is completely worth having
Bought my 2013 it's red and limited. It's a gorgeous vehicle. OMG. Has 5 out of the 6 packages you could choose from. I didn't get the upgraded larger screen.
I have those tires on my 2015 Azera , they are good in rain and dry conditions, but suck in any ice or snow. You’re in Florida, so you’re good. I just bought a 2013 with 167,000 miles for my daughters first car.
I just a bought a 2013. You have a very nice car. Just a FYI my son found a cabin filter behind the clove box that was filthy affects air flow to vents.. My car has 46,000 miles on it. Car is a 1.8 liter 148HP i believe.
Congratulations on a low cost reliable Elantra! I paid just over 20K but had it for over 8 years now w/ no issues. It's a 2013. I put one extra package on it which for 2013 they added heated seats w/ that package. My son in law had a 2013 new. Other than no heated seats, I saw the difference in the way his car steered compared to mine. But unless you have a 2013 you might not be unhappy w/ the steering at all. A great deal for you!. My 2013 GLS w/ 86K might be worth 7K if I were to sell it. Well maintained, looks great and same color as yours.
I had this car. Bought brand new 2014. Minor Upgraded Brake and Rear Suspension. I love it so much. Baby it and it works like a charm. Not a single issue. Congrats to your new car...You made the right choice. If you wanna to better OEM handling, get KYB strut for rear. Your wife will love you more. :)
here's the funny thing. you're probably not old enough to remember when hyundai came to the US with the Accent. a total shitbox. It was like 6k or 8k in 1985 or so. one of its primary marketing strategies was to emphasize that it had a Panasonic stereo as if this meant he wasn't a cheap shitbox. in the intervening 30 years the Korean brands have really stepped up their game. a close friend had a bad wreck in a Sonata and walked away from it (turned in front of a speeding Mustang gt and was t-boned...in Florida). since your wife doesn't sound like a car person (yet) this is a good starter.
With 165K, an upgrade in tires, new KYB rear shocks and new rear brake pads / rotors will transform your car. It's a car you can easily get excited about!
I have a gray 2011 Elantra that was my dad's in 2011, but then my older sister's in 2014 then mine in 2016 which I still own to this day. I added over 25,000 miles to the total, bringing it to 112,900 miles and it never left any of us stranded.
Damn! My mom has a 2013 with 48,000-ish miles. Nice to see how they hold up well after 166k miles. Looks in about the same condition as hers! By the way, it's a 1.8 liter with 148 hp and number of torque that's probably so small it doesn't even matter.
@@NorthernForester Lol, funny story... rod bearings were noisy as hell at 80k miles. Short block was replaced under warranty. By the time it had reached 99k, it wasn't sounding the best, but it was still running fine. Sold it with no time to spare on that powertrain warranty and replaced it with a Volvo XC90 V8. That has been great!
@@NorthernForester Don't get me wrong, the Elantra was a great car, but they can have their issues. They can be very good, or they can have issues like my mom's did. Other than the rod bearing issue, it was fine. Decently comfortable, sufficient power for its size, great gas mileage, and for a compact, it had a TON of space.
I just bought a GLS Coupe 49k miles in EXCELLENT condition for $5300 same color with tinted windows. Was a salvage title trunk damage but has been mostly repaired. Runs GREAT! 💯👍🙌
I thought salvage cars weren't good to buy? And how are you guys finding these cars for 5k? In Illinois as low as you can get them is 7k, and that is for one with at least 100k-150k Mike's on it.
Yes the steering wheel looks good because it is not leather. It is a polyurethane wheel which is used for lower trim levels. Also, I don't think you should compare interior build quality in that way. Maybe the cars you bought in the past weren't that well looked after. This car isn't that old. It just has a lot of miles so I don't think the amounts of use correlates with the miles. A car with one owner who maybe had no passengers who also looked after their car will obviously look better than one who did.
Came here just to check on initial reviews of my current rig. Had my 2015 elantra limited for over a year now and only issues ive had are brakes. Bought with 97k miles now has 116k miles and no engine issues at all with oil changes at 5k mile intervals. Great car. Bluetooth works great. Cruse is smart with downshifting downhill. Amazing steering. Honestly with the steering modes the "sport" steering mode makes it feel like my old audi a4. Just a solid car that gets 40+ mpg highway and is comfortable.
Sometimes it's nice to have a reliable car where everything just works. We bought a 05 corolla with 100k for our nanny, she loves it and i get the same pleasure you do out of a good reliable beater at a great price.
As being an owner of a 2014 Elantra, the car is the same minus the fog lamps, but it has the connection to put your cellphone, and use the speaker to receive calls, also on the steering wheel, there are controls to put the radio volume up or down, to make or stop a call, plus to reset the trip.
A 2011 elantra with 120k miles that looks like it’s as clean as his both inside and out, clean title etc. you think it’s worth $6000? That’s how much he offering me
I owned a 2011 Elantra just like this one .. It had 90k miles on it and drove amazing. I got in a car wreck with it and got about 10k from Insurance for the vehicle. these cars are designed to perform well and the quality for the money ratio is outstanding.
Hello, I have a 2009 Hyundai Elantra Se with 202,000 miles. I've done all maintenace on the car and it works like new. I use my car for Door Dash every day and it's running like a charm.
Why are people saying the bumper looks repaired/Repainted?? The Bumpers on these are plastic and have Flex in the paint which sometimes looks a shade diff color. I see it a lot. Jokers
Have a 2013 GLS since new, has 209,850 miles on it, the only major thing that l have replaced are the rear shocks and about to change the front struts and the battery, besides the regular maintenance stuff, and still going strong, pleasantly surprised on how reliable, efficient and economical this car is.
Tires are SO much better made today, that IMHO feeling you need a spare tire is more for your own peace of mind. I've been driving for 52 years and have yet to put on a spare tire while on the road. Even if there is an issue like a nail etc, you can get it to a tire shop for repair almost all the time. I've had that once or twice. I did buy a double cylinder tire pump that connects to the battery which will pump up a flat time in 1 1/2 minutes for more asssurance. It fits on my 2013 Elantra in one of the two impressions where the spare would be. The other impression (closest to the bumper) has a nice charged up battery starter if your battery should run too low to start. I feel w/ those two items I won't worry about breakdowns. I also maintain my car w/ hoses and belts etc. Cars are much more reliable now days so I'm good to go on a trip out of town w/ little worries. And yes, got good tires as well!
I just bought a Hyundai Elantra 2012 as well. Only mine truly is limited. Leather seats. Heated seats front and back. Black exterior black interior. (Doesn't bother me) Bought a spoiler for 100$ and installing a back up cam with nav system this week. It's pretty much as clean as yours and everything works well. Mine had 67,000 miles on it. now up to about 68 but still feels brand new. I also did not get a spare tire btw. It's very surprising. Also mine didn't come with the tools. No big. It was just surprising opening the trunk at the dealership. haha
I have the same car, in grey. I love the body shape of my 2013 versus any newer one. I’m adding mods to the body only, not messing with the engine at all (maybe add a K&N filter ) nice car dude !
I have a 2015 GLS Elantra, she drives like a dream, 2.0 L engine has noticable torque and power. Great car, closely comparable to my Subaru Impreza torque wise!
I just bought a 2013 Limited for $3k, FLORIDA CAR, 1 owner with 64.5k miles! Right about 1 thing no rust anywhere and its now currently in in the northeast. I should also mention my model has heated leather seats. Not sure why the original owner wanted that option when they bought the car in Florida. I will say its a blessing in the winter!
Yours is the GLS and has a 1.8Ltr 148 Hp motor . I think being a Florida car heated seats wouldn't be necessary . I have the 2016 Elantra GT / GL Auto . Great car !!
Dylan Wodrich Still enjoying my GT , its Silver / Grey . I put 17" Rims & Tires on it plus LED Headlights , Taillights , Turn signals and interior LEDs . The H7 LED was the toughest to install . 😎
They omitted the spare to save weight. That car can get almost 40 MPG on the highway!! I bought my wife a Limited w/o Nav in 2015. I purchased the spare tire kit just to be safe in case of a flat. The pump it came with includes that can of fix a flat! We love ours and I got it for the same price a Hyundai employee would pay. It was almost $6000.00 off MSRP
I've had those tyres before and they're actually pretty good tyres in the rain. And I think it has 400 threadware so they're fantastic for highway driving.I've mostly had Korean cars and I can safely say they're more reliable than people think so dont listen to people telling you it won't last and what not. That model Elantra is one of the best ever made and it should give you a hell of alot more miles without issue. Also this particular model actually has the 1.6 Gamma engine that produces 143HP and 138 ft lbs of torque.
Tavarish, it was an special day when you got the Elantra. I am glad not to be the only one that got an elantra in a similar way. it was a 2005 that I bought in 2009 in Chicago for 4,500 in Craiglist. The car still with me and I can't let it go. It is so good and now I have 165K. The person that sold it to me did change the radio for with a pioneer unit that had a GPS. Blue tooth and other thing that I don't even use. It is important to have good tires, you will not need an spare. JFP
My 14 year old car has 217,000 miles on it and the interior is near perfect. It depends on how well the car was taken care of, not the amount of miles. To me it sounds like the owner used this for work so there were probably rarely people in anything but the driver's seat anyways
Matt Bucci every car is a rental Car even a mustang challenger and the Camero except luxury actually luxury car are rentals also but with more money quit being a douche bag idiot!
why are people hating in him some people forget that cars most of the time is just to get you from point a to point b not all people are car enthusiast
The kia forte comes with a spare tire. My wife's current forte will be my son's first car in a couple of years. 104,000 and no issues. Struts are starting to pop a little and talking to kia service department they said I was lucky. They normally go out around 92,000 to 98,000.
267k miles on my '99 camry that I bought when it was a year old with 14k on it... No engine or transmission issues aside from 2 valve cover gaskets and a throttle body complete cleaning off the car, 3 timing belts, 3 radiators, 2 cooling fan motors, 1 set of struts and motor mounts and tie rod ends. That's about it.... Original alternator, starter, AC parts (live in FL) and a repaint...
Very nice purchase, guy~ I have a 2011 Elantra GLS with 6-spd manual that I use to deliver medical goods across my state. I bought it when new in June 2011 and I drove it to 371k miles with very little in the way of problems and ZERO breakdowns. So you've still got quite a lot of miles to put on this car before you can worry about anything failing at all. The 1.8L produces 148 HP and 131 lb-ft of torque. I've never heard of those tires, but mine came new with the Hankook Optimo H426 which is an Environment rated tire designed for Low Rolling Resistance to provide an increase in fuel economy on highway driving. I've gone through four sets of them and have driven between 70-80k miles on each set for 85-90% highway miles. You and your wife enjoy the awesome car!
Nice car! I sold my Honda Civic 2003 EX for $3,500 in Mexico with 190,000 kilometers. With new shock absorbers, new wheels, new motor support and transimision repaired.
Freddy, I love watching your videos. Definitely a big fan. Anyways, I recently owned a 2009 Hyundai Sonata (Limited?) that I bought with 138,000 and sold with roughly 150,000. For the $4000 I paid for it, it was definitely a steal. Quiet interior, very ergonomic, heated leather, XM, larger factory discs, etc. These are excellent cars and very capable of going into higher mileages. I've noticed that Hyundai engines tend not to sound so great to the trained ear, but I've learned that most sound like that at higher mileages and it doesn't tend to be an indicator of the actual mechanical health. Congrats!
Had a 2013 elantra, it was a lemon, hyundai had to buy it back. Car was great when it ran right. Engine would run smooth and suddenly run rough for no reason. Sometimes turning on fog lights would make engine run smoother (no kidding) noisy ac compressor. In the shop for wheel bearings multiple times. Power seat quit working and battery died at 2 years old. Alternator started dying when I got rid of it. It was a limited with all options.
I liked the Elantra so much, I bought it twice. Both my wife and I have one. No cheap chinese tires, Pirellis all around for us! Good to see it'll break 150K miles without any major issues.
I got an Elantra with 150k miles it currently about to hit 210k and my boii is still going strong minimal maintenance just regular oil change every 7.5k miles works amazing air conditioner and everything
I had a 2007 hyundai Sonata and I traded it in 2012 when it had 170.000 miles, it still ran great and was a amazing car. I only got rid of it cause I wanted something new. I regret that decision all the time. It was such a great car. I now have a 2017 Hyundai Elantra and I really love it a lot. Hyundai and Kia have now become one of the big boys. BTW the 17 elantra's do have spare tire
This is just a GL model. GLS has Leather wrapped steering wheel, heated seats etc. Also In Canada we do get the spare tire at no extra cost. Must be something in our laws that they have to have it in ours.
I actually just bought a 2011 Hyundai Elantra GLS 6MT but since I have a Canadian Market car, I have heated front and rear seats and a sunroof in addition to everything on your wife's car.
Interesting. I just traded my nice 2003 Sentra XE with 91k miles and my 09 Accent HB with 101k miles for a very clean blue '14 Elantra SE with 87k miles. I LOVE my Elantra!!! Boy, I was hooked as soon as I drove it. What a nice car it is. I will baby it and I'm sure it will last me many years. It runs and drives like new. I think it has mostly highway miles also. She changed the oil every 3-4k miles. It's on Carfax.
you must be thinking of old kias, every model kia have front and rear disk brakes for years now and stop faster than their honda, toyota, Chevrolet etc... competitors in class. the cheapest $13,000 rio had rear disk years ago
I got an 09 Elantra with 169 thousand a year ago and it’s holding up so far. Except for the damn TPMS light. Keeps coming on when my tire pressure is fine.
I have a 2012 Elantra. It already reached more than500k kms. I only change the timing belt 3x and replace oil and brake pads regularly which is typical of any car. No unexpected problem whatsoever. I think people who are complaining are weak creatures. They only use the car and don't care. Since the 70s, I have never had any problems with any car. That goes to show that if you are a car guy, no reports would occur to you.
the rear bumper is resprayed but probably the previous owner just resprayed it because of some scratches or so, not necessarily because of an accident damage. enjoy it
Redey1290 i have a 2012 elantra gls 60k miles and an 08 civic lx with 207,400ish miles and engine and tranny r in great shape. only problems i have on civic r cosmetic and struts problems ,engines quiet

I agree with the rear end thing, and the condensation in the light is another hint
condensation is normal in taillights of hyundai's! lol my genesis coupe had tons, i literally had to drain the taillight and re silicone it. now its good though
Bumpers often look different colors from the rest of the car because they are plastic, but since it's a metallic color it could also be changing in the light. At around 3:52 you can see that it's the same color as the trunk but the trunk fades to the color of the side of the car.
yeah, the trunk too looks a little misaligned with all the wide panel gaps
MyNameIsPhil nah. My 2016 accent both front and rear bumpers are different shades of silver where my whole body is silver.
Just how the paint lays on these bumpers. Look at any newer car very closely you'll drive yourself crazy trying to figure out why. That's just how it is unfortunately.
Soon as you pointed out the USB charging cord that was included I knew you made a really good purchase.
$5500 bucks? That looks like a 13 grand car. You got a good deal.
it's because of the high mileage. High mileage deprecate a cars vaule very quickly. My 09 Prius has a 164,000 miles on it and it's currently only worth $4,000 compared one with 89k miles on it would be worth 6k-7k
5500! is way too high with the miles , I wouldn’t even have touched it unless it was around 3k.
im paying 5495 canadian for my 2013 elantra 155k tomorrow. pretty excited.
Hell yea
I paid 4500 for my 2012 121,000 miles pretty good deal
Have a 2004 Hyundai Elantra GT with 230000+ Miles runs great with only regular maintenance
Bro, what Hyundai model years do you recommend? I need to buy a 7-10 year old car for ~$6000. Thanks.
How expensive are the regular maintenance services?
I have a 2002 Elantra GLS 5 speed manual with 298,000 1 clutch replacement and regular maintenance it has been extremely reliable
ferndog1461
I recommend a 2011 Hyundai Elantra. Awesome safety, economy, luxuries, quality, etc. If you want a newer infotainment system get a 2013-2014 model year.
@@Major_Mason thanks for heads up!
currently fixing my 2013 elantra, i just got in a crash and they were telling us to total it since repairs were over $5k! me and my dad instead brought it to his home garage and are almost done fixing it completely for under $1500-1600. great experience and the car’s reliable daily drivability is completely worth having
Good choice for your wife. My girlfriend drives a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT (hatchback). It's been trouble-free so far.
Looks great, no wonder you're excited!
This car needs to be reviewed by RCR.
"This is not Matt Farah's Million Mile Lexus."
Million Mile Hyundai
BROWN BROWN BROWN
Real fart
I just a bought a 2013. You have a very nice car. Just a FYI my son found a cabin filter behind the clove box that was filthy affects air flow to vents.. My car has 46,000 miles on it. Car is a 1.8 liter 148HP i believe.
For that year and all those miles means freeway milles, freeway-miles would be nothing for the engine it was a good deal
That is the kind of car that interests me most. A lot of qualities for minimal cost.
First Hyundai sold here was the Excel, for starting price of $4,995 in 1985. 3/36 Warranty, and most would not even last to 40,000 miles.
you're right. it was still a shitbox.
Marc Dobin and so it your dreams cars
I remember they were $4000 new. Was even cheaper than a Lada.
Hyundai is still crap today. This is my car and I'm not unique. ua-cam.com/video/Lzj34gfXXRM/v-deo.html
fuel filter would be about the only thing I would change a thing.
if it's even serviceable
If it's not just rip it out and drop in an aftermarket filter kit.
I didn't even know cars didn't have fuel filters. That just seems like a bad idea. Well anyway I would change the injectors.
what seems like a bad idea? fuel filters?
Marc Delgado some cars, like acura, do not have a filter
With 165K, an upgrade in tires, new KYB rear shocks and new rear brake pads / rotors will transform your car. It's a car you can easily get excited about!
I had a 2008 Hyundai Accent hatchback Standard. Was 209,000 miles when I traded it in. It still ran and no issues.
Government got involved and hp claim was later downrated to 145 on my 2014. Torque is decent at 131 lbs-ft.
How has it held up over time?
@@NorthernForester Lol, funny story... rod bearings were noisy as hell at 80k miles. Short block was replaced under warranty. By the time it had reached 99k, it wasn't sounding the best, but it was still running fine. Sold it with no time to spare on that powertrain warranty and replaced it with a Volvo XC90 V8. That has been great!
@@alexp6016 nice nice, I’ve been looking and found one with 68k for 7,500 or a 2011 Toyota Camry with 88k for the same price trying to decide
Hey bro! Do you still have her? Any problems? Running good? Thanks!
I've also found that cheap Hyundais and Kias are better built than Mercedes too!
the tires are not that bad, they are not premium and they are not junk
Good on you mate! They're not a bad car at all. I had one of these as a work car and they do their job well
Hyundai from 2012 to date is great! product wise. no complaint!
5500 is high with the miles , but I agree it looks like it’s been maintained very well.
A 2011 elantra with 120k miles that looks like it’s as clean as his both inside and out, clean title etc. you think it’s worth $6000? That’s how much he offering me
I owned a 2011 Elantra just like this one .. It had 90k miles on it and drove amazing. I got in a car wreck with it and got about 10k from Insurance for the vehicle. these cars are designed to perform well and the quality for the money ratio is outstanding.
my cousin 1993 suburban has 287k miles , the engine is the original and i think he only changed the fuel pump and filter , runs fine
Sidenote: how did Tavarish manage to make me actually like a Hyundai? You should be a car salesmen
The tires look like they're in goid shape. No need to replace.
Bought my 2013 Elantra new, now has 165k on it. Has been extremely reliable. Wisest car purchase ever.
I just picked up a 2018 Elantra with 34k on it, only paid 7500 for it. I will agree with him about the AC in these cars, best AC I've ever seen.
That's crazy deal. where did you buy it from?
I just bought a Hyundai Elantra 2012 as well. Only mine truly is limited. Leather seats. Heated seats front and back. Black exterior black interior. (Doesn't bother me) Bought a spoiler for 100$ and installing a back up cam with nav system this week. It's pretty much as clean as yours and everything works well. Mine had 67,000 miles on it. now up to about 68 but still feels brand new. I also did not get a spare tire btw. It's very surprising. Also mine didn't come with the tools. No big. It was just surprising opening the trunk at the dealership. haha
I have this same car but mines is a 2013. I bought it with 40,000 miles and paid $7,200.... I love mines so much!
twinkeez2003 how is it so far? Still going strong?
did you have to replace the engine?
Mr. Worf I have the same car in Grey! How do you like it?
Dylan Wodrich Loving it !!!
Dylan Wodrich Still enjoying my GT , its Silver / Grey . I put 17" Rims & Tires on it plus LED Headlights , Taillights , Turn signals and interior LEDs . The H7 LED was the toughest to install . 😎
Rear bumper was charged , check the colour difference , also the water in the stop light is an indication that is was hit from behind.
JFP
tired of getting rental cars.....buys a rental car...
haha
165 k rental miles does not look that good :P
Correct. if that car had 165k miles, the interior would be destroyed.
I’ve got a 2012 Elantra with 186k miles. Still going strong
I drive a silver 2012 elantra, good stuff. Only thing mine needs is some alloy rims, the steel with plastic caps really isn't cutting it.
How’s it going now?
Just got the 2013 and i hated it at first bu now I love my car save on gas good power for my city in Vegas
why are people hating in him some people forget that cars most of the time is just to get you from point a to point b not all people are car enthusiast
Now it's May 2017 how is the Elantra going? Still pleased??
2020, design is still relatively good!
2021 in few days and considering buying this car
Liam Rowe
It looks like it’s smiling at you. Haha Makes me smile too.
This is just a GL model. GLS has Leather wrapped steering wheel, heated seats etc. Also In Canada we do get the spare tire at no extra cost. Must be something in our laws that they have to have it in ours.
wow its so clean inside! not bad at all
I actually just bought a 2011 Hyundai Elantra GLS 6MT but since I have a Canadian Market car, I have heated front and rear seats and a sunroof in addition to everything on your wife's car.
I have the same car but a 2015 model, apart from the seat that keeps giving me should pain, it's absolutely perfect
Nice! Honestly I'd take this over your Merc lol. Apart from towing what can the Merc do that this can't?
Be a Mercedes.
have leather seats, slide on the highway and its german not korean
you must be thinking of old kias, every model kia have front and rear disk brakes for years now and stop faster than their honda, toyota, Chevrolet etc... competitors in class. the cheapest $13,000 rio had rear disk years ago
cooled, heated, massage seats
uncreativename we have an s class and the difference is day and night buddy. Learn cars and then come back
Great video as always! Looking forward to the long term updates of this car. I need a cheap newer second car with ridiculous mileage now haha
I got an 09 Elantra with 169 thousand a year ago and it’s holding up so far. Except for the damn TPMS light. Keeps coming on when my tire pressure is fine.
DLAROC you just gotta replace the tpms sensors, just buy a kit with 4 sensors from amazon, and ask for an tire shop do the service thanks
That goes to show that if you are a car guy, no reports would occur to you.
the rear bumper is resprayed but probably the previous owner just resprayed it because of some scratches or so, not necessarily because of an accident damage. enjoy it
for 5500$ it's a good deal. For that price you get 2001 civic which have 100k on their odo
part of the reason might be that Hyundai Elantras resale value is low
Why would he want a 2001 year car when he can get a 2012 for the same price?-.-
100k on Honda civics are nothing for the motor, they can go 200k easy if you maintain it well
Redey1290 i have a 2012 elantra gls 60k miles and an 08 civic lx with 207,400ish miles and engine and tranny r in great shape. only problems i have on civic r cosmetic and struts problems ,engines quiet
Redey1290 I had a lot of problems when I purchase my 2001 Honda Civic it was a huge pain transmission problems
What a beauty! I have a 2012 too
I always learn something about cars from your channel. I have a 2015 Toyota Rav4. Paid cash for it.
I will probably buy a car in a couple of years. I will keep the RAG but do will never buy a new car again. I will take your advice, do the research and find a good used car.
Love your channel!
Owns Aston, Mercedes, Dually, pair of Lexus' and a Porsche... buys wife a high mileage Hyundai. Trollololol.
his out of money lol+ her wife is new to driving so if she crashes it he doesn't give a shit because it's a Hyundai!
No woman is worthy of a new car.
We just bought a 2015 Elantra GT at $12,998 with 37,000 and has all the bells and whistles. We have had it for 3 months and drives smooth wife is over joyed. Stopped buying new cars since 1989, and every one of the used cars we have owned were excellent cars. Just can't see buying a new car and loose 10 to 15% in blue book driving it off the lot after signing the deal.. With the Carfax able to tell everything on the history and a good 1 week option at CarMax if not happy with the car after 7 days return back for total money spent on it. My man here got a great car at an outstanding deal. Shows used cars purchasing and good history check and you to can find all kinds of great deals!
Well August 11,2017 the Hyundai 2015 GT Elantra is still doing great. Just over 3,000 miles, will keep post updated.
