Tisas 1911s are tight! The fitment is comparable to my hard fit Les Baer 1911. To be clear, I'm not saying the Tisas is better than my Les Baer, but the Tisas 1911s are TIGHT!

This is very true. Tisas is really doing great work lately. 🤠

Read that comparison and almost choked on my coffee. I’m starting to get a crisis of consciousness about being curious enough to give Tisas 1911’s a look

I bought a Tisas B45 Duty. Incredible 1911. So impressed I bought a A1 Service model. They run, reliable, no FTF’s, accurate. Super value 1911’s.

The newly released Tisas Stakeout (version 2.0) gets my vote for an old school 1911 that is the best 1911 from Tisas. The new version has a brass bead front sight, dovetailed sights (not staked), beavertail grip safety, "Stakeout" removed from the slide (I hate the unnecessary Tisas names on slides), and a Tenifer finish (not Cerakote like the earlier models). You can find them for $350.

As a Springfield Milspec owner I prefer that on the Tisas the barrel, bushing and recoil spring plug are black instead of shiney on my Springer. Shiney does not belong on a Milspec/service pistol.

Great review and you can't beat the price for that 1911! The grips you put on look good also. Another awesome video and thank you, Slim.

THEY 1000% ARE!!! the only mim parts is the spring cap where other 1000+ guns have tons of mim parts. These guns punch wayy about it price point. It's cray how some guns out there that are $1000+ have worse qualities than a gun that's only 369

I put wood double diamond grips on all of my 1911's with brass screws simply as a matter of personal preference. I have my Service Special on my hip as I write this. It was the first of three Tisas 1911's I have gotten so far. All of mine are in as the same condition as yours is.

Good points made. I agree the YMMV applies on the extra fees, but you can shop around (minus taxes). Only Colt & USGI 1911’s so far, but I’m looking at Tisas for a 10mm, would like to see a review of one by you soon…

Bought 2 1911 45 and 9mm love both 1,500 rounds each they are perfect. In 89 Bought colt 9mm and 45 1911 at 550 each then were completely worthless un relible crap even after warranty repairs tiasa is on the game price and quality must say

I live in Ohio. I go on Buds all the time and I usually hope to go within 100 on the sticker cost. That seems about right but it still feels like a gimmick.

I don’t see anything budget about Tisas 1911’s in 45 caliber. I have the B45 duty model and it goes bang bang with FMJ and all hollow point ammo I feed it using Wilson Combat magazines. I added a few Wilson combat parts like their stainless steel slide stop, firing pin, and extra power firing pin spring that’s it. Again no stoppages, fail to feed or extraction issues. With over 700 rounds down the tube and a good detailed cleaning and lubrication job it’s in my carry rotation.👍🏽 My Springfield 1911 is jealous now.

Got the exact model 3 months ago. Mine does not have the safety movement, it’s very positive in both directions. I believe the finish is a ceracote finish. My only complaint is the two supplied magazines are rough and would stick . Had to stick a screwgriver down the mag and run the spring up and down till the followers smoothed out. Still not great, ok for range but use a Wilson for carry. They’ve been a 100%. Everything else about mine is the same as yours. Paid $349 ,would be good at twice that.

Tisas and Springfield Armory are 2 companies that make affordable production 1911s that have proven extremely reliable in my experience. I’ve had nothing but trouble with Kimber, Rock Island, and Charles Daly. Just my experience.

They are machined (or maybe ground), after they are hardened . I don’t see how they can sell it for that price , just machining in US would be more !
