I like this style of video!! You are in the shots .... giving the scenery some perspective of distance and size, but the shot is not about you. The video tells a great story without words and the story isn’t about you. I love it!!! I know your feet got wet, it was cold, you ate some stuff, heard noises at night. I know you love your backpack, and had a great sleep in your hammock. Most of the time nature tells a better story than we ever could. Thanks for not wrecking the story w silly banter !! Great video !! Keep it up !!

Thank you! I really appreciate the nice feedback. I tried something different with this one, and I was trying to accomplish all the things you mentioned. I'm always trying to find that sweet spot where the video is visually interesting but more about the place and the experience than about me.

Ah man, you knocked it out of the park with this one!! I admire your boldness and bravery to create a video and tell a story without speaking any words at all, I’ve always wanted to, but it feels so daunting! You excelled with it, though. Super glad you found Moonshiner’s Arch, Eagle Point, and Copperas Falls; they are all amazing! Did you camp up at the top of the ridge? Also, you’re going to have to explain the sorcery at 5:31 with how you got that shot without rock climbing off the edge of the point, it gave me the heeby-jeebies with how close to the edge both you and the camera were! Your approach shots at Copperas Falls are surreal- I’ve been there before and yet your take made me feel like I was in a completely different world. So good! Love the effect the next morning in first person as if your eyes were opening- dunno how you did that but it’s wicked neat. You also had so many great macro shots as well- the acorns scattered around camp and the tiny snow flakes on the sand along the Red are just a few of the great ones to mention. You make hammock camping look pretty enticing! Thanks for sharing this trip with us all!

Thanks for all the kind words, Samuel! I'm glad to hear that the storytelling worked for you. I was concerned that this video would end up looking like a bunch of random shots strung together, but it came together well enough that I'd like to try something similar again in the future. It's not as hard as it looks!
I wish I would have camped at the top of the ridge near Eagle Point, but I moved on to somewhere on the Osborne Bend instead.
The sorcery at 5:31 is something I like to call "not making good choices," hahaha. I was talking to a family at Eagle Point, and they showed me that you can walk out on a ledge for a view of the actual Eagle's Nest. I went out there and thought it was a great spot for a shot, but it required leaving my camera/phone on a windy ledge while I walked all the way back to the Point. It was probably a dumb idea, but the shot was worth it, haha.
Approaching Copperas Falls was absolutely surreal. It gave me goosebumps walking up on it alone, with the snow falling and the light fading. It felt like being on a pilgrimage and finally reaching the end. It was a very special moment.
      As always, thanks for watching!

Close! I parked at the trailhead down the road from Bison Way, the one near the Copperas Creek canoe launch. I can't remember the official name.
