- At last, after about half a year of being in production on and off due to such circumstances as sickness, waiting for the necessary materials to be finished, etc, the episode is finally here. We hope you enjoy it.
While he’s at the Works, Stephenson meets a big red engine named Rachel, who tells him of her days on the North Western Railway.

We never stopped making videos. In fact, "Rachelle the High Speed Engine" had been in production on and off since February; it just didn't come out as soon as we'd hoped it would due to several unfortunate circumstances.
This is the first episode I've seen of your series and I really enjoyed it. I'll definitely be checking out the other episodes.
Roderick looks like a Gresley A1 like Scotsman was in the 1920’s .It makes sense that there’d be several 4-6-2’s on the island to pull express trains . Also Flying Thistle even if all those engines aren’t characters . Roderick does look different from a Gresley because he has a different kind of grab bar . Hard to imagine that an engine and crew could be so mean. Roderick is such a handsome engine . I can imagine him after growing up being an asset to the railway and working alongside Flying Thistle and Gordon.
I like the lady characters a lot Enterprise, Remembrance and Rachelle. Would love to see them back in other stories and to have Roderick the 4-6-2 back but a much wiser choo choo.. He had a Gresley shape even though the grab bar is different .That is a non issue
In early 20’s all the engines were young and had a lot to learn.I’ll bet they were good employees later

Nice job with this. I’m glad that Alfred and Roderick got what was coming to them. And knowing that Rachelle’s coming back to Sodor to pull the express again, I can predict right now that there will be some “battle of the sexes” kind of thing to give Gordon a run for his money. And maybe James, too, just because they’re both red.

I’m realizing now after watching a series based off the real wellsworth and suddary engines which were 2 wrdale tank engines or how ever you say it and a small 0-4-0 tender engine the others came Adam Lilly and Colleen came later

Rodyard? His name is Roderick first off and yes he's our version of 87546, and second as for his type I'm glad you asked that he's a rebuilt LNER Gresley A1 to former chief mechanical engineer of the Valleyfields Central Railway, Rick Brewmiester I. It was after he rebuilt as a Thompson pacific in the early 40's and had mechanical issues. He was later re-built for a 2nd time by the VCR upon request from the Rail Transport Central. He's gonna reappear soon, and sharing the same job with Rachelle :wink: - RJ

Why isn't Alfred Painted in Green with a No.3 on his cab and A LNER on his tender ?
Alfred is painted blue instead of green because at the time the flashback took place, he was one of the blue engines that appeared in the first illustration of "Edward's Day Out", only to be sent away for his atrocious behaviour.

Alfred used to be lner green
In our canon, Alfred started out as blue, and THEN got painted green. We're basically embracing the idea that Alfred was one of the engines from the first illustration of "Edward's Day Out" to be sent away afterwards.

That's because at the end of "Edward, Gordon and Henry", he got repainted as a reward for finishing Gordon's express run after the latter had burst a safety valve. The story takes place between then and "Henry and the Elephant", when he got repainted in his old green livery.

Rachelle isn't the Flying Thistle, and that she was in the Railway Series. She was in the first illustration. Which is shown in episode 6's intro.

She is; that's the way her model ended up at the time. While Gordon's model is more of its own TV series size, Rachelle's model size was closer to that of her original basis.
