Some reviewers said the new magnetic connector on the GoPro feels much better and easier to connect than the DJI one, do you also think that way? I currently use my GoPro 11 and I see no reason to upgrade for now, but eventually... I'm not sure if the next one will be a Gopro or Insta360 or DJI... I'm happy there's some competition so they all continue to improve
Competition is always good! The GoPro connector is better, but I am.surprised how GoPro reviewers all of a sudden are so excited about it. And they barely mentioned the different battery form factor. Hero 11 is almost the same as Hero 13. Hopefully next year GoPro will bring a meaningful update. As for OA5 - it is lovely. Pretty sure there will be more and more unbiased opinions on both.
@@TechMishka I do like the GoPro, they still feel like the "tank" of the group that can take a hit, the DJi seems to have now the best battery yet pretty durable as well. The insta, well they also have the "pill" (go 3s) which is awesome for some creative things, their 360 cameras also cool and their action competitor which I can't remember the name... If I need to grab 1 new now, I'm totally lost hehe
I returned mine and I'm sticking with the Action 4. The fact they removed the ability to keep the screen on while recording (and I mean more than 10 minutes) is a deal breaker for me in my workflow. I did not see enough improvement to warrant moving away from the Action 4. I'll be buying another Action 4 so I can move away completely from GoPro in my set-up.
Thanks for the video. A question: with the Osmo Action Multifunctional Charging Handle the battery still stay connected inside the camera? And the time of use are the 4 hour of the battery with more 7 hours of the handle? Thanks.
I think so - but I never ran in a situation where my battery was close to down. And keep in mind that these 4 hours are not realistic with normal use - the displays and power on/offs eat up some of it. Still - crazy good battery backup.
Has some interesting features and the improved battery life is impressive, but... Some of the daytime footage looked very strange, with a weird pink/reddish colour cast which made skin tomes look really unnatural and skies a strange other-worldly blue. The price seems reasonable. As this is a "Pro", can we assume there will be an ordinary Action 5?
Could be that while export some of the color grading got weird. The camera is awesome and you can push colors the way you like. As for a non-pro version ... Dunnow - I doubt.
Is the low light jittery with stability on? I’m looking for a small camera to film inside malls and for low or artificial light vlogging and walking tours. I’m seriously considering the Ace Pro but been waiting on this release to compare them. Do you really think it’s as good as the Ace Pro for low light?
The compression seems to be fine. Seen actioncams providing 80Mbps whereas it was no more than 20Mbps real content. At least - it is a proof that the CPU is different
Well, technically - sort of. What is important with video is to make sure that the footage is not overexposed. If you set shutter at 1/50 and record in 24fps, you need the ND32 - otherwise the iso cannot compensate the loads light, and if it is overexposed, there is no fix. If you record in 60FPS, then to follow the 180-degree rule, shutter speed should be 1/120, which you may get with the ND16 in most cases. During golded hours ND16 is usually fine for the 24FPS example too.
Bit of a shame that Rocksteady is useless when it's dark outside. Maybe fine in the light of the city, but with a headlamp in the forest, the camera is miserable if you don't hold it steady and walk carefully. And the magnetic lock is a bit poorly built as the hooks are difficult to access when the screw is in the way. But otherwise a good camera.
There are screw options that are quite short and won't come in the way. The stabilization with actioncams is based on shutter speed. At low light it is lower and this makes stabilization not as effective.
@@TechMishka True! I've asked around a bit and, for example, in Ultra races during the night, the only solution is to walk and film. So then I know it in Swedish cold November when I have to film my first night ultra race. Only run Ultra race on daytime before.
I've owned both. Your mileage may vary but I'm sticking with DJI. And I am adding another Action 4 and I returned my Action 5. The fact they disabled being able to keep the screen on the entire time while recording (on the Action 5) is a deal breaker for me given my workflow. I didn't see enough improvement over the Action 4 so I'm just going to buy one more of those so I can be done with GoPro for good.
No in-built GPS unfortunately; There's an option to use a GPS-enabled wrist remote - similar to what Insta360 have for some of their cameras. I've corrected this information in the video feature list, and thank you for pointing this out.
@@TechMishka nice i have also black and white colorway . Love the qaulity of its materials used. Only thing that i dont like that its too narrow for a wide foot like me

Good plan
Just ordered..i use my S24 allot..so i cant wait to see how this compares.
😎
I do wish it had the tripod mount / thread built in to the camera body
Like a 1/4" mount you mean?
Just ordered mine, thanks for the vid
Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks.. Very good review on the iconic brand DJI Osmo with the new Action 5 Pro !
You bet!
We want the review On Ausek At S81tr!!!!

Is it really such a big jump over the Osmo 4? Prices drop on Osmo 4 - perhaps time to get?
For me personally it feels like one. From user perspective 3 and 4 are still perfectly relevant

Nice review as always! I'm trying out this action cam very soon. I hope to see your comparison with the new HERO13.
I probably will wait for the Ace Pro 2. Comparing to GoPro is not fair 😕
Great review, nice to see my hometown. I ordered one via your link. Greetings

@@TechMishka Yes, i am from Berlin. Greetings
Hi big fan of the channel. Have you reviewed the red tiger f7np? If so is this better than the viofo a139 pro?
I plan to. But I don't think it will be better than Viofo's model

iphone with a dji gimbal works really well for this
@babyboy1971 Ace Pro 2 is coming out next month. I'd wait for that before you make any decisions.
@@ericd1084 do you know if it will launch before Halloween?
I think it is a good match for the purpose. The idea to use a gimbal with iPhone is good as well
Has it the date/time stamp option?
it has a lower bitrate than the action 4 as a drawback, But i really really hope they bring it back with an update

Hello 🙋
Thanks for sharing with us!
Very nice and interesting DJI Osmo action 5 pro 👍
Cheers, buddy 🤝
Thanks for watching and supporting ♥️
ND32 mean that it let's 1/32 of the light though, doesn't it? Isn't this way too much? I see in photography people use ND4-ND5

Insta 360 have great tech, but very weird marketing. I'd go with DJI.
