Thats the first thing i have spray painted on the driveway itself.....now my table in the garage is a different story...it looks like a jackson pollock abstract piece...lol
Yours turned out really nice, thanks for the inspiration. Mine is very similar to yours, the basin isn't quite as ornate as yours. Would you believe we had winds here in TN recently that lifted the top off and set it upside down on the ground? I have to ask a neighbor man to lift it back for me, I can't budge it.
It's been a couple of years now and the paint is still holding up pretty well, but not very many birds use it. I later found out that birds don't like the loud colors, that's why many people just leave their bird bath the normal concrete look. It might be different where you are, if nothing else you will have a really cool looking yard ornament like me...lol
First of all, I love your team Jesus t-shirt. Second, what brand of Spray Paint did you use, and was it "for cement"? Then, did you seal it with anything? I live in North Carolina.....
Ty...I love me some Jesus...:). I used rustoleum brand spray. I sealed it with rustoleum clear coat. Hope this helps you out and ty for watching my video...:) God bless.
You did a good job with the spray paint scheme. I’m looking to redo our concrete bird bath out front. I’ve never done this project before. Any suggestions on preventing fading once painted and also is any type of sealing needed to put on the area where the water goes? Thanks!
Hi, ty for your comment. After i applied the multiple coats of the spray i used 3 coats of clear spray to help seal the paint in even more. The brand i used was rustoleum 2x ultra. I actually had to do a bit of research on whether the spray would be safe for the birds, and the place where i purchased the bird bath informed me that spray paint is actually what they use if they paint them for customers, and is perfectly safe. Hope this helps you out, and also what i would recommend would be to spray an additional 1 or 2 coats of clear each year as you put the birdbath back out from the winter.
Bev Macmillan that’s what i was finding, but I couldn’t find anything about latex. Wound up using a watered down black exterior latex paint for a base coat that rubbermoldguy uses on his channel. Now i wait on the wife to tell me how she wants it painted! I’m learning as a hubby...whatever she says goes! LOL
Yes the paint i used is ok for the birds. I used rustoleum spray paint which is an enamel based paint. The same kind of paint that is on your appliances. Hope this answers your question. I actually had to ask the people who made the birdbath to see what is safe for the birds and they said they use enamel based spray, or latex paint.
Thanks for the video. I just did my bird bath. Wife is very happy.

Ty, and wow...that's some strong wind for sure. I'm glad your ok though...:)
Great work! How did it hold up with water in it? Looking at painting mine.

Very pretty
Ty so much...:)
How did you make the base of the bird 🐦 bath
Wonderful job! Very pretty!
Thank you! 😊
Looks amazing
Tyvm...:)
What color are the paints you spray on your 🐦 bath
It's been a while but i believe i used deep blue, brilliant blue, and berry pink from rustoleum.
Paint won't affect the water in any way?
I had the same concern so i contacted a couple of companies because i didnt want to harm the birds, and they all said it wouldn't effect anything.
Team Jesus Yes!
All day, every day, forever...:)
Is it safe for the birds?
Bev Macmillan did you get an answer to this or find out?
Chris J Peavy I researched and oil or Petroleum based paints are not good for birds.

Where is your mask???
I was outside the whole time, and it was over 100 degrees that day...so i didn't wear one...lol. It was well ventilated...:)
