Hello Nichol, I think the motivation we get from flosstube is what got me back into stitching and keeps me moving to complete projects! Thank you so much! 1. 2.
The best tool for me to improve my stitching is to watch tutorials, have good lighting, and sharp needles. #1 Fly By Night Thank you for sharing your creativity with all of us.
A much brighter light has improved my stitching. My stitching is much straighter and more uniform. You are most definitely organized. You do so much. We love you. 1 and 2
1 and 2 My stitching greatly improves when I am sitting in my lawn chair, in the shade, watching Flosstube videos, while my husband naps, at a Minnesota State Park campground. ❤
Have a fantastic time at retreat. Don’t stress if you don’t get much done. You’re connecting with friends and that’s truly what counts! Wish I was there to give you a warm hug. Hopefully next year…Always in my thoughts and prayers!♥️oh and yes, please number 1. 😊
Boo by Hello from Liz Mathews was originally in the Fall 2022 Punch Needle and Primitive Stitcher issue. The magazine's website has a correction for this chart's Color Key - go to the Corrections link on the top toolbar. From what I remember, there was no color for one of the chart symbols on the original Color Key. Better lighting has improved my stitching. I use a Brighttech Lightview Proflex Magnifying Desk Lamp. 1 I enjoyed watching your video, as always! So much temptation, since I want to buy almost everything you stitch!
As always another fun filled flosstube Nichol! I think that good lighting has improved my cross stitching along with tips and tricks from flosstubers. 1 2
I just think the more I stitch the better my stitches get. I try not to rush and I make sure I’m not twisting my needle as I go through the fabric. Railroading is really helpful too. I love 2.
My biggest helper since I started was setting up my floss organization. finding floss drops that I liked and organer cards really took my game to the next level. 2
Lighting of course helps me & a lapdesk as I never have time to stitch at my actual desk but will in front of the tv. Eeeeekkk, ADORABLE #1 Flying Lesson!!!! 😍🧹🧙♀️
Definitely the texture of the fabric and the colors of both the fabric and the threads. And! I am interested in #2... Thank you for all that you do, Nichol. It’s much appreciated
Hi Nichol - always nice to see your videos - great tips n tricks as always! I would have to say to help my stitching, I really like the Pony brand black/white needles - good for sensitive skin since they are not nickel plated - and of course the lighting - love my Halo Go light - makes a huge difference! :-) Have a stitchy week and a safe and Labor Day holiday! 2
Mighty BIG fall plans for stitching!!! LOL. My list is also very long. Glasses help me stitch, not only my glasses, which I wear all the time but, an extra pair of readers. #2. Great show hope to meet you at the retreat!
I’m also stitching your Thanksgiving start. However, I just started it Sunday last week. Wow! I realize how much our likes are the same after seeing you fabulous fall and Halloween wips. Please take full advantage as I know you will of time spent stitching and making new friends on retreat. They help us recharge and get ready to prepare for the holidays. There are many things that have improved my stitching. I going to say Flosstube both your and others have given tips and tools to really step up my game. 2 please and TY
What improves my stitching is my magnifying lamp; however it is a combination of great fabric, good floss and a new needle! I've got to love the pattern of course! Enjoy your trip!
Hi Nichol! For the card I sent you I used the Taylored Expressions Easy Strips Dies and Easy Strips Maps. The Maps are pre printed guides to help with perfect placement of the strips. I hope you have a wonderful time at the retreat. A comfy chair and my Halo Go light are a must for my stitching.
I cannot live without my Ottlite but one of my favorite tips from watching Flosstube is using the railroad method to straighten out my two strands of floss. I enjoyed your video. 1, 2 ❤
This is one spelling rule that has stuck with me since elementary school in the ‘60s. 😉 I before e except before c, or when sounded like a, as in neighbor or weigh. So skein should be pronounced skane. My mag-eyes have helped me have neater stitches. Have a great time at retreat. Sounds like there will be a fun crowd. 🪡🪡🪡
Thanks for another fun video! I’m amazed that you manage to make one pretty much every week on top of everything else you have going on. Continued prayers for your crazy busy month - hugs and blessings.
Pattern Keeper is a must for me. I stitch full coverage, it is a must. Beautiful stitching. I agree a one color stitch would be good for airplane stitching. Have fun at the retreat!
Hello Nichol! I hope you have an awesome time at the retreat this week! I love all your Fall projects. You are so talented and I love watching your videos!!! Happy stitching, quilting, and card making!
Lighting is a big thing for me. Everything else is changeable for me. I stitch a lot in the car. 2. I love your change to purple on flight school. Which I was stitching while watching. I have been debating the purple change anyway. Because that is my favorite color. I started today can not believe how fast it is going. Enjoy your trip and be safe.
Wish I was going to the retreat You will have so much fun Iove going to my scrapbook/paper crafting retreats I can't look at your drop down and be tempted to purchase all of that goodness. September October (I hope not November) is dedicated to stitching presents. I ve been back home for 2 weeks now from taking care of my friend; however, still go over to home most evenings 5 times a week to help but mainly keep her company as she is in her "last" phase of her recovery, that being PT. Although I have been working on my Christmas Cards, I had to buy all my birthday/anniversary cards for July and August Monday I am dedicating my day to card making Safe travels
Hi Nichol, enjoyed today's flosstube. I agree with others, watching you and other flosstubers has helped improve the quality of my completed work. Although I did finally purchase a Daylight Go lamp in March and it's a game changer. I always thought I could do just fine without one, however I was so wrong. Thanks for all you do. #1,2.
Hi Nichol! Jenn and I are so excited to meet you at the retreat this week! I’m loving seeing all of your Halloween WIPs, kits, and charts. See you soon! - Sarah

I missed the SAL this week and am pretty far behind due to all the frogging I did on that darn broomstick. :) But after seeing the purple words versus the green.... I may need to frog a bit more and embrace the schedule I am on. ;) My green is really blending with the fabric I chose. What helps my stitching... definitely a full set up I embrace... the lapdesk, magnifying lamp and bookstand that holds my pattern. It makes it all so easy and stress free. Have a wonderful time at the retreat - and I will see you on Stamptember videos. 🥰
