WOW! What a great video. Some beautiful stitching done. Yes, I agree that your change of fabric was wonderful and really showcased your stitching more. Update on T shirt quilt: Was feeling overwhelmed that I couldn't do this as had never done any quilting, although, bought all the materials to make it. Ended up cutting the shirts and putting them in frames. They are now hanging on my wall. The first night just kept looking at them and smiling. So glad I did this and thank you to all that gave me advice on the quilt part. Love your Flosstubes and look forward to seeing them. I always just love watching your flosstubes. I can see how much you love stitching because you are always so excited to show us what you have been working on from week to week. For now I am a DMC stitcher as I have 3 storage containers full of bobbins plus a basket with extra colors. I really want to do the July SAL but I have 4 big stitches that I am working on and need to finish as several are gifts for family so even though I really want to stitch it, I am going to put it off for another time. Love all threads but my favorite are overdyed threads especially Classic Colorworks❤️❤️❤️ Love patriotic stitching and I loved getting the Liberty Box❤ Those fabrics are so pretty. Didn’t know what I would do with the coasters since me and the hubs have insulated cups when we camp but when I get my iced coffee drinks when we’re camping they are great for those sweaty cups 😊 1,3,4,8

I am in love with Colour & Cotton and am trying to build up my inventory. Second best is Classic Colorworks but I do stitch with every type of thread so I really love them all. I made 8 little patriotic pillows for my dough bowl and now your showing of the Cherry Hill ones is making me want to stitch more! Maybe I will need two dough bowls!! My husband said "why are they pillows - should they have dolls laying on them" and he was SERIOUS! Such a question after 35 years of marriage - go figure!! 1, 2, 3, 8.

I was a stitcher for many years and for some reason took a long hiatus (20+ years!), but I’m back, and how things have changed. This community has really grown and the exchange of ideas is amazing. I’m anxious to try fancy floss but will enter that area slowly, mostly because of the investment. Years ago I used Danish Flower Thread and did a large sampler with it. I loved it, so I know I will enjoy other fancy flosses. I’ll start with Color and Cotton first because of your enthusiastic recommendation. I’ve been watching you for years as I am a stamper. I don’t blame you for changing colors. I ended up doing a backstitch on my eagle head on Liberty because like you saw the white blended too much. I may go back and restitch it down the road but for now, I am good with the backstitch. ❤❤ I love all types of overdyed floss. 1 2 3 4 5 8 I have been wanting to stitch the eagle with both sides! Glad to know I’m not the only one who thought these would look great without the words

I was so happy to see you’re going to do Midnight Watch! I’ve started it and will work on it more now! You’ve spoiled me with the Sulky threads. I really enjoyed using them on More Chocolate Bunnies. I mostly use DMC because that is what I have, and boy do I have some old skeins. But I do love the variation of the over-dies threads too so I will mix them sometimes. I do use some of the Weeks and CCW flosses too, but it needs to be a special project. I have silks for three projects also. The colors you’ve s how. In camera look beautiful. I did a tiny patriotic stitch with silk which was great. Well, I was not going to do the Christmas SAL next month, but then you had to mention that you had an idea for a vignette. That got me to thinking about my Christmas mantle decorated with pine trees, snow and red sleds which just happen to be the colors in the patterns from Cherry Hill Stitchery! I'm doing the Welcome to the North Pole SAL and it's my first time using fancy floss - so far I like it a lot! I 've been a DMC stitcher mostly because of the easy access to supplies. If I need floss STAT, I can find it just about anywhere nearby. Those ladybug pins from Cherry Chic - SO CUTE!! They might just pop into my cart. I so appreciate all your efforts to record and share your Flosstubes. I always learn something or an idea is sparked by something you show. I started the FQS Mystery Halloween SAL and after about twenty hours of stitching I realized that I cut my fabric wrong and it is not wide enough for the last inch and a half of stitching. I think I was thinking I was stitching on 16 count and it was 14. I probably changed my mind and didn't remember. Oh well. Can't salvage it. I probably will not do any mystery sals in the future because I need to see it all to know whether I will like it. I too do not like things like the tombstone floating in air. For most things I use DMC but for the fancy floss my favorite is Weeks Dye Works. 4
I was trying to stitch but had to write down so much info. 😂 I have finished Midnight Watch but am planning to do another for a friend. Will try the Bramble fabric this time. I have embroidered in the past so have always used DMC but am kitting up charts with CCW, GA and WDW threads and like the way the colors change in stitches large pieces. My new favorite is GA Brethren Blue, using it in Brenda Gervais “Coffee First”. You mentioned Hallow-Day Inn so it is on my next order list. Thanks for the encouragement to start a piece over if you’re not happy with the fabric you chose! My favorite floss to use is DMC because of the cost, availability and the ability to use the loop start but I love the look of the hand dyed. I don’t like that Weeks isn’t trimmed to usable lengths. I decide how much the variegation will show/matter and choose from there. 1,2,4,5,7,8
Thank you so much for your excellent UA-cam 🎉 I am moving towards using several floss brands. Always have been DMC and then Weeks. I currently am in the FQS Classic Colorworks Club, Gentle Arts & NPI. Stocking up for retirement❤. I’ve also recently expanded my thread drawers to include some Cottage Gardens, Aurifil embroidery floss on the spool and Sulky 12 wt! I love my thread library. I notice difference in each and enjoy every stitch as I feel these all are excellent threads. I recently have been a bit more concerned about the over dyed threads being colorfast. I have tested several, soaked them, to be used for my larger projects. I completely believe things need to be able to be washed after so much handling. Everything can benefit from a light soak no matter how gentle. 😂 #4 . I so appreciate your discussion about changing the fabric color and thread colors. I have begun having more issues. The photgraphy affects my fabric purchase when I can’t find the called for linen. Then, I find my floss doesn’t look good on the fabric I purchased because the pattern photo threw me a bit. I’ve really had trouble the last few new starts marrying up floss with fabric. AND then once deciding, seeing how the floss can look so different when stitched as well.
It's nice to hang out with you and listen to the floss tube while I stitch. I have always stitched with DMC because I didn't really know there were different kind of flosses. But I do have a small collection of WDW now. I love that floss and the results you get. 2, 3, 4, 5, I have a US address in case I win something.
I have used DMC, have not stitched in several years, since seeing your video a few months ago of Old Fashioned Hot Cocoa, I ordered that, Excuse the mess I craft here, and now I want to stitch today’s Create for my craft room. I was searching for the Colour and Cotton floss, the colors you used are not available at this time but I will keep trying. I am really into card making too, and really have enjoyed your videos on coloring with markers. I'm so excited about Christmas stitching and am beginning to get the itch to stitch fall as well. For the longest time, I just used DMC floss because Hobby Lobby and Michael's are just a few miles down the road, so it's convenient, but as I started getting a few thread packs for different projects, I have begun collecting fancy floss and am really liking it. I love Classic Color Works but won't turn any others down. lol. 3, 8

I’m not really picky when it comes to thread. It mostly depends on the project. But I recently stitched a small project using Sulky and really enjoyed it!! All the talk about the Christmas sal has me wanting to start thinking Christmas now!! 8
I almost always use DMC, my closet LNS is “Hearts Desire” at 2.5 hours away, so running into Joann’s or Hobby Lobby is much easier for DMC! I did sign up for the Monthly Weigh In and I am very excited to start it! 1, 2.
2 I use Weeks, Classic Colorworks, and Gentle Arts overdyed, but I really love using silks especially Gloriana and Belle Soie since they, too, are overdyed. I also use dinky dyes, NPI, au Vera soie, soie 100.3, and Threadworx. I will be doing Christmas in July as I did last year, working on the vast number of Christmas wips I have!!

Had to laugh: now I feel better about my little patriotic stitch this month! I was doing Primrose Cottage's "United We Stand" which I THOUGHT would be a simple little stitch even for a year old newbie like me. Yeah, ripped sooo many times: first because I started on the wrong side of my fabric (didn't realize that some mottled fabrics are only "printed" on one side), then new to 18ct Aida quickly learned that a 26 needle and two stands doesn't go well (so changed to 28 and single strand), then flubbed the counting of numerous motifs right up to the end. Thankfully finished the stitching yesterday --- let's see how long the FFO work takes! 😅 Since I'm still relatively new to CS, I've mostly used DMC because it's inexpensive and easy to source (I don't have a LNS). However, one of my first projects (a kit I learned about from a Flosstube video) used a skein of a red Belle Soire silk --- oooh, what a beautiful hand it has!! Thank you for the FQS FP link, I'll be able to use the rest of the skein for the Erica Michaels one from there and it gives me an excuse to buy the two additional threads needed. My next patriotic PC stitch uses a Weeks and I have another project kitted with some Classic Colorworks so I look forward to trying them all! 8
Hello there. I stitch mostly with DMC. I might eventually switch to Classic Color Works. I love that you changed your fabric. I agree with you, the stitching seems to pop so much more. That is one of my issues with patterns. I don't do Linen, so it's Aida, Monaco or Lugana. Picking cloth is hard. And I am so excited for Jolly July. I just used the 20% off code and bought Sleigh Bells Ring, and I already had Rudolph Reindeer Games!!!🎉 I'm using 28 Count Mushroom Lugana for both so they match with called for DMC. For once I won't be a day late and a dollar short. 😊
4,5 I am currently using Classic ColorWorks on Hands on Design Polar Plunge. I am really liking how the colors shade the cute polar animals prior I was a strict DMC stitcher, howeverI am loving the current colors! Thanks for another great video this week ❤️!

I was so happy to see you’re going to do Midnight Watch! I’ve started it and will work on it more now! You’ve spoiled me with the Sulky threads. I really enjoyed using them on More Chocolate Bunnies. I mostly use DMC because that is what I have, and boy do I have some old skeins. But I do love the variation of the over-dies threads too so I will mix them sometimes. If a piece has a larger section that the over-dies will really highlight then I use them. Thank you again for sharing so much of your time with us!,

I do use some of the Weeks and CCW flosses too, but it needs to be a special project. I have silks for three projects also. I'm too scared to jump in - not only do I not want to mess something up but I also don't want to love silks. Haha! ;)
Hi Nichol! I love hand-dyed floss and use Classic Colorworks, Weeks and Gentle Arts interchangeably. I haven’t tried Colour and Cotton but may soon since so many rave about it. The colors you’ve s how. In camera look beautiful. I did a tiny patriotic stitch with silk which was great. I plain in venturing down that path later this year with my first large reproduction stitch. 💕 2 4

Mostly I stitch with DMC but have tried the Fancy Flosses, CCW, WDW and C&C. I joined the Floss Fix club this year to collect more colors. I can't really tell a difference in stitching but I really like the look of the variegation with some of the fancy flosses!

I'm doing the Welcome to the North Pole SAL and it's my first time using fancy floss - so far I like it a lot! I 've been a DMC stitcher mostly because of the easy access to supplies. If I need floss STAT, I can find it just about anywhere nearby. Those ladybug pins from Cherry Chic - SO CUTE!! They might just pop into my cart. I so appreciate all your efforts to record and share your Flosstubes. I always learn something or an idea is sparked by something you show. I started the FQS Mystery Halloween SAL and after about twenty hours of stitching I realized that I cut my fabric wrong and it is not wide enough for the last inch and a half of stitching. I think I was thinking I was stitching on 16 count and it was 14. I probably changed my mind and didn't remember. Oh well. Can't salvage it. I probably will not do any mystery sals in the future because I need to see it all to know whether I will like it. I too do not like things like the tombstone floating in air. For most things I use DMC but for the fancy floss my favorite is Weeks Dye Works. 4

I was trying to stitch but had to write down so much info. 😂 I have finished Midnight Watch but am planning to do another for a friend. Will try the Bramble fabric this time. I have embroidered in the past so have always used DMC but am kitting up charts with CCW, GA and WDW threads and like the way the colors change in stitches large pieces. My new favorite is GA Brethren Blue, using it in Brenda Gervais “Coffee First”. You mentioned Hallow-Day Inn so it is on my next order list. My favorite floss to use is DMC because of the cost, availability and the ability to use the loop start but I love the look of the hand dyed. I don’t like that Weeks isn’t trimmed to usable lengths. I decide how much the variegation will show/matter and choose from there. 1,2,4,5,7,8
Thank you so much for your excellent UA-cam 🎉 I am moving towards using several floss brands. Always have been DMC and then Weeks. I currently am in the FQS Classic Colorworks Club, Gentle Arts & NPI. Stocking up for retirement❤. I’ve also recently expanded my thread drawers to include some Cottage Gardens, Aurifil embroidery floss on the spool and Sulky 12 wt! I love my thread library. I notice difference in each and enjoy every stitch as I feel these all are excellent threads. I recently have been a bit more concerned about the over dyed threads being colorfast. I have tested several, soaked them, to be used for my larger projects. I completely believe things need to be able to be washed after so much handling. Everything can benefit from a light soak no matter how gentle. 😂 #4 .
I so appreciate your discussion about changing the fabric color and thread colors. I have begun having more issues. The photgraphy affects my fabric purchase when I can’t find the called for linen. Then, I find my floss doesn’t look good on the fabric I purchased because the pattern photo threw me a bit. I’ve really had trouble the last few new starts marrying up floss with fabric. AND then once deciding, seeing how the floss can look so different when stitched as well.
It's nice to hang out with you and listen to the floss tube while I stitch. I have always stitched with DMC because I didn't really know there were different kind of flosses. But I do have a small collection of WDW now. I love that floss and the results you get. 2, 3, 4, 5, I have a US address in case I win something.

I have used DMC, have not stitched in several years, since seeing your video a few months ago of Old Fashioned Hot Cocoa, I ordered that, Excuse the mess I craft here, and now I want to stitch today’s Create for my craft room. I was searching for the Colour and Cotton floss, the colors you used are not available at this time but I will keep trying. I am really into card making too, and really have enjoyed your videos on coloring with markers. Thank you for your videos, you really explain each step of the process with amazing clarity, and you make everything look so easy to do.

I’m not really picky when it comes to thread. It mostly depends on the project. But I recently stitched a small project using Sulky and really enjoyed it!! All the talk about the Christmas sal has me wanting to start thinking Christmas now!! 8
I almost always use DMC, my closet LNS is “Hearts Desire” at 2.5 hours away, so running into Joann’s or Hobby Lobby is much easier for DMC! I did sign up for the Monthly Weigh In and I am very excited to start it! 1, 2.

I use Weeks, Classic Colorworks, and Gentle Arts overdyed, but I really love using silks especially Gloriana and Belle Soie since they, too, are overdyed. I also use dinky dyes, NPI, au Vera soie, soie 100.3, and Threadworx. I will be doing Christmas in July as I did last year, working on the vast number of Christmas wips I have!!

Had to laugh: now I feel better about my little patriotic stitch this month! I was doing Primrose Cottage's "United We Stand" which I THOUGHT would be a simple little stitch even for a year old newbie like me. Yeah, ripped sooo many times: first because I started on the wrong side of my fabric (didn't realize that some mottled fabrics are only "printed" on one side), then new to 18ct Aida quickly learned that a 26 needle and two stands doesn't go well (so changed to 28 and single strand), then flubbed the counting of numerous motifs right up to the end. Thankfully finished the stitching yesterday --- let's see how long the FFO work takes! 😅
Since I'm still relatively new to CS, I've mostly used DMC because it's inexpensive and easy to source (I don't have a LNS). However, one of my first projects (a kit I learned about from a Flosstube video) used a skein of a red Belle Soire silk --- oooh, what a beautiful hand it has!! Thank you for the FQS FP link, I'll be able to use the rest of the skein for the Erica Michaels one from there and it gives me an excuse to buy the two additional threads needed. My next patriotic PC stitch uses a Weeks and I have another project kitted with some Classic Colorworks so I look forward to trying them all!

Hello there. I stitch mostly with DMC. I might eventually switch to Classic Color Works. I love that you changed your fabric. I agree with you, the stitching seems to pop so much more. That is one of my issues with patterns. I don't do Linen, so it's Aida, Monaco or Lugana. Picking cloth is hard.
And I am so excited for Jolly July. I just used the 20% off code and bought Sleigh Bells Ring, and I already had Rudolph Reindeer Games!!!🎉 I'm using 28 Count Mushroom Lugana for both so they match with called for DMC. For once I won't be a day late and a dollar short. 😊

I am currently using Classic ColorWorks on Hands on Design Polar Plunge. I am really liking how the colors shade the cute polar animals prior I was a strict DMC stitcher, howeverI am loving the current colors!
