I waited for His coming
I waited for His reign
Yet time moved on so slowly
The years passed just the same.
I longed for the Messiah
I longed to see my King
To know His lovingkindness
For my mournful heart to sing.
He came without a fanfare
Like a whisper in the night
But He filled the world with glory
With an everlasting light.
Now I live to serve Messiah
Now I live to hear His voice
And as I live in sweet communion
He makes my weary heart rejoice.
His is the sweetest fragrance
The tenderest embrace
Most glorious and gracious
Is the kindness in His face.
He is my great Messiah
The Lover of my soul
My Savior and my Shepherd
My Friend who makes me whole.
I waited for His coming
I waited for His reign.
And now my wait is over:
Christ came.

Yes, it is. You may contact the composer through our website for more information.
Beautiful. I was surprised to see a comment, “ Do Mennonites do Christmas”? How strange to think people would think we don’t do Christmas.
Beautiful,thank you!❤😊
We do Christmas and Easter. We do not do Halloween. There you have it.
Where do I find the lyrics to this wonderful song???? Catherine Hamilton 😊
They're in the description. 👀

So good!😅
It’s criminal that this has had so few views, on so many levels it’s beautiful, dedicated and artful
and also symbolic of shared depth and sane ecumenism seeing its in Catholic Church…..
And it’s done at Christmass……although I’m not sure Mennonites do Christmass !-)
Thank you and I will share this AND subscribe

@naradaian, Mennonites have any number of big family gatherings around Christmas, and the sermon on the nearest Sunday is usually themed around Christ's birth. For a few Sundays before Christmas, Christmas hymns will displace the regular hymn selection.
But we don't have a special Mass associated with Christmas, though.
Lyric?¿????😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
@cat-be4vk look no further than the video's description for the lyrics. 👀
