17:30 Actually, have a look at your sig radius when in bastion, I have not checked ked since Veridian, but I was told a while ago that, more likely, they are scanning you r MTU. Just wanted to point that out. It wasn't obvious to me at first either.
They'll scan your MTU with smaller ships, not with a Golem. Besides, if they catch you on D-Scan, it's easy enough to warp a covert ops into each site cloaked.
@@captainbenzie pre veridion it was way easier to scan MTUs then bastioned marauders. Haven't tested post patch. If you are on the drifter boss they will have to scan you down, so it is moderately relevant and its not like your going to go to a fresh site while you have new connections right?
This is correct. It’s not your sig radius you need to look at though it’s your sensor strength. Whi h bastion boosts by a whopping 100%. Therefore it’s best not to drop your mtu until the site is completed and clean up afterwards with a covert ops or something similar I learnt this from hateleas gaming. May he Rest In Peace.
I'm curious do you have like a backpack fit for the golem to camp out in C5s ? Been thinking about do that in a golem setup for the content. I do it all the time in my Stratios C5 ninja hacking and Tengu C3,C4 anom and sig combats but those are covert ships. So I am thinking about survivability if you get spotted in a local's C5 in a golem they might take notice and action against me hehe.
A bit scuffed, but thanks for the content. I bet WH groups are getting ready to rage roll C5s :D. We used to do the sites with 3 Nestors and Leshaks / Oracles for dps.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned but if you drop your bubble first you can drop your mtu/depo right on top of it that way you don't need to move around
I found that thukker battery is better suited for heavy neut preasure. slightly less cap but more resistance. Overall the math works out against the drifter neuts for me. Do you find your aplication is okay without a guidance computer? I use 4% implants a computer and a faction painter. Maybe its overkill?
I've had no issue with application for sure. I'm using a 3% implant now (wasn't for the video) and that definitely helps, but I don't think the computer matters too much. But tbh I haven't tried.
how do you have enough capacitor if using a painter + computer, he neuts 950GJ every 10s according to this vid. for your question, the painter should be enough since he has a 400m sig and the torp explo radius is around 540 so, when the sig > the exploradius it's useless, you're already applying 100%
6-7 years ago I used to run this like clockwork. Dual thukkers, a few cap rechargers flux coils and cap rigs and you’re good. One faction target painter is all that’s needed for the 400 sig. I like cruise missiles a little more for solo but I think that’s preference. The precision missiles 4-5 shot the cruiser rats for me at max skills no implants. Unfortunately the drifter can now only be activated by a capital ship.

This is great and all... but unless I'm missing something, it's not really "solo" - if for no other reason than you risk the wormhole exit collapsing and getting stranded. Or do you also carry a probe launcher (and poss a clocking device)? Or - now that I think of it - how did you get in here with this fit in the first place? Fleet/Wingman? Or maybe - for those of us who are truly anti-social - use an alt in a Cheetah (etc)? Thoughts?
