Very enjoyable episode! Thanks for sharing. I recognized the butler, Willie Best who plays the butler in other movies. I always wondered if he was bothered by being type cast as the bumbling butler? Where's the folgers coffee Virginia? Who knew she was going to later be Mrs. Olson? She is so pretty. What a great popular cast. And enjoyable to watch. Do you have more episodes of this Series?
Willie Best was black. To work as an actor he had to play stereotypical roles. Mr. Best was villified by the black community in the 1960s for being an "Uncle Tom"
I believe the actor that played detective Mark Saber played The Saint, he is the brother of the actor whom played The Saint first,George Sanders. George Sanders was also married to ZaZa Gabor.
@@michaelmatthewkomaromigabr9588 Yes ! He took over the role of The Falcon from his brother George Sanders at RKO in the 40s when George tired of the role. 23:00 Cripes, did someone forget to put the breakaway prop chair on the set or something? That looked like it hurt, and conway looks a little startled after he connects himself. Hope the actor on the receiving end got a bonus for that one.

Sergeant Tim Malony seems a little reluctant to do his job. He moans whenever Inspector Saber asks him to do research or chase down leads. Perhaps the Inspector should consider having another sergeant assigned😀.
This series in indeed no classic. But I too found it enjoyable. Low budget & generic but fun. Always enjoyed the performances of the late great Tom Conway. And he's supported by a very talented cast.
Good cast: Tom Conway, James Burke. Virginia Christine, & Willie Best gone to waste due to a poor script & wooden direction by the usually reliable Eugene Forde.
Scriptwriting is terrible!! "Better take a look at him, just another drunk, why bother, I really want to get home". Most people would have raced to the fallen guy to see if he was ok especially a detective of the homicide squad.
