    Good video Paul, very detailed. One thing to add would be to check the orange filter to ensure the flow measurement wheel is not installed upside down. I changed mine yesterday and wondered what the hook was for. I disassembled the old filter and found that the hook should be down to eventually stop flow at 500 gallons. This is probably rare that it was a factory error, but a homeowner would be confused if the operation of the flow sensor is not understood.

    great video. Can you think of why, after changing purple and orange filter, i still dont get water pressure. I do for a short burst, then it sounds like water is running through it, but the tank doesnt fill. this runs for hours.

      Sounds like a air lock. Did you do the flush?

      @@kineticorichmond I'm having this issue now too after doing the flush twice. I think it's "stuck in drive" which happened once before and they had to come out and do magic to fix it. Wish I knew how to fix it!

      A variety of different cartridges that could be geared towards different things in your water.

    I have realized it’s a complete rip off. The brochures and representative state that a family of four should only have to have the filters replaced every year to a year and a half. There are only two of us in the house, and we are hardly at home, but we have had to replace the filters twice now in a year and a half. It cost more money to maintain the system than it would to buy a water cooler with jugs from the grocery store.

      We've had it for many years, there's 2 of us plus 3 pets, and we always have to change the filters at around the 13-15 month mark. We use the water for all our cooking, drinking and pets.

    Thank you for good info. My system leaked from pre filter. I removed filter, checked o rings and found no problems. After assembling, I noticed a lot of water coming from return line. what is wrong?

      So sorry for the late response. This could be a manifold issue, if changing the filter did not fix the issue. Were you able to contact your dealer?

    Have you seen the motor on top of the unit leaking water from the two small holes in the back of the motor?

    • @kineticorichmond
      @kineticorichmond  Рік тому +1

      There isn’t a motor on the unit however you are probably referring to the “accumulator”, which is what cleans the membrane after every water-making cycle. If this is leaking out the weep holes please call your dealer for a replacement. There is a piston driven by a large spring so don’t try to open it yourself. Replacement is very simple.

      I actually took it apart and noticed some rust o. The spring , cleaned it and assembled it back and its been working with no leaks.
