The best way to play the game - and you can do this the first time or the second time - is to LEAVE SCAVENGING CAMPS and some of the BIG camps *ALONE* - do NOT raid or dismantle them all. You do NOT need to upgrade your car as much as you think you do, with scrap. I played the game the second time, with only the most basic upgrades and I never needed anything else. MOST of the upgrades are *totally pointless*, as the car will behave the same way, anyway. Besides, once you get to the final race, you want your car to be the most *BASIC* it can be, so it's fast enough, anyway. KNOWING this, you can LEAVE most of the scavenging camps and a lot of the Top Dog and Oil camps ALONE and JUST concentrate on the story. That way, when you BEAT the game's main story, you'll have a *TON* to do. The game FOOLS you into thinking you need all of those upgrades on the car during the main story, but you do *NOT*. Do NOT stop at every scavenging camp or Top Dog or Oil camp that you see. You don't need to. This way, they'll be left when you finish the game and you can basically do whatever you want and have plenty of enemies to fight after it's over.
That buried house in The Dunes is still one of my favorite places in the game, it's so creepy.

@@CDTyphol In my experience enemy vehicles do not spawn if you walk across the wasteland.
@@CDTyphol Nope. You can just roll out of the way until they get out of the cars and then you fight them.
Wait for a storm, then speed out into the big nothing and explore. I’ve actually went through a full tank of gas and my backup tank exploring.
If they added a coop where the second players get to play as chum or you could customize your own chum like character it would be kinda cool I think..

I think maybe the second player could play as Tenderloin or something (SPOILERS AHEAD) I know she died, but so did Chum but we still got him back anyway.
This game definitely needs a DLC. some extra stuff, cause I love this game. haven't play MGS5 though I give this one a try and I enjoyed it pretty much.

They sort of come back though, but maybe it could show a mode, like you go back to that place and start a mission, it then shows you just after with the interceptor - driving off again, when there's a story, needing to get fuel and sort of rebuild in a way, with the interceptor - and go across the big nothing, getting to the otherside and starting an entire new story. More of an expansion pack though.

they should add a mode of horde of enemies in map. we need something to do after we're done with everything. it seems dumb to have a perfect upgraded car with nothing to fight except random 1 or 2 enemies :/

+Jake Brown well the other guys quest Lines included its about 60 hours but if focused on main it would most likely be 4-5 hours
I did all the side missions first, afterwards I found all the secret locations which added some length
It is short, but overall, it takes awhile to beat the game 100%
Good to see someone else enjoys doing this stuff after completing the game and appreciates how well it was put together. Is it perfect? No, but it's still a great game. 110 hours in and still going. I do wish they had made the camps repopulate though.

Chums Buggy is one of the best vehicles in the game, great handling, doesn’t flip easy, goes decently fast and accelerates quick on both pavement and sand. I just find it odd that Chum doesn’t come along on it. It was actually pretty annoying having to get it just to deactivate mines. Would’ve been cool if they had incorporated the dog into the game to maybe help sniff out hidden scrap, car bodies, hiding enemies to interrogate, maybe even a special attack in fury mode, while also having to share water and food with him. Man there was a lot of things I thought about with this game that I feel wouldve made it a 10/10 game, still a really fun game either way even though it does pale in comparison to other games of its caliber imo.
So in other words.... there is nothing to do after you beat the game.. ok, thanks

They should of made every car customizable.... And wayyy more paint jobs

I like driving around in first person in the Interceptor, and driving away trying to escape people in high speed chases, no fighting back unless they board, just driving away.
This sounds like a lot of fun, I was wondering what to do in the Interceptor since it has no weapons, great idea! Most similar to the original movies

for a movie game mad max is a great game. I loved ever minute of it. I hope WB brings out another mad max which is slim to none, because games based off of movies are not popular and don't do well economical we might not have a chance of seeing a great movie game like this one.
it would be cool if they make another game and include an online mode where you cant create your own character and even pick a faction such as warboys or buzzards and build you car and upgrade your gear the way you want it wouldnt that be badass sigh a man can dream
What would be cool is to have an option in the game that you can re-populate the bases and get all the info if you've missed and would also bring back convoys, scarecrows etc. It would add a whole new meaning of dominating the wasteland.

I really enjoyed this video, man. I like the attitude, just dicking around, making your own fun, I think that can be the best part of any game. I only started playing this game at a friend's house recently and haven't finished it yet. But I still go off on harpooning crusades here and there just for giggles.
idk why the game isnt so popular its such a good game also some Easter eggs in the big nothing or areas you can reach without using cheats
For the police chases its cooler to use The Interceptor since its a police car and chums not there either

Just a fact everyone. The Twelve is not V6 Welded together. it's a real deal V12. V12 Twin Six GMC 702 Cubic Inch (11.5 liter) Petrol Motor usually found in trucks and often mistaken for two V6s welded together

Actually it is one V12, a real engine built by General Motors, it just uses four V6 valvecovers to save money.

Man This Game Was Too Awesome. Just Finished It Yesterday. Did Not Like How Glory & Hope Died. But Overall I Was Satisfied
A new game plus mode would be insane, playing the whole game again with the classic max max look (recommend you get rid of Gauntlets and gloves, maybe ammo pouch if you really want to look like the beginning max, or, keep the Level one gloves, and put on the Medium sized hair and beard for a more Mad Max 2 look.)
In 2022 I wish they'd add an extra option: "Replay Mode" that'll replay any mission you'd like as the state you were when that mission started or did

@@leSwannalyste Yeah that's the one. It is just an easter egg so it doesn't need to be canon, I'm actually surprised to hear the devs say it comes before. The continuity of the movies is all over the place so I didn't think there was a definite answer.

i KNOW its this particular motor byt the fact that it has 6 header tubes per side
(Exhuast) and the 4 heads and 4 valvue covers
the 12 was in fury road and i can promise you its a torque monster putting out 400-500 pound feet stock
I’ve done it all. I played this on PS4 in 2021, after servers were shut down in 2020- so I can’t get a Platinum trophy just because one trophy depends on an online server connection. I wish Avalanche would fix that.
Explore all of the big nothing (to the right of the map) it doesn't kick you out if you go far enough the warning goes away and it's a full fledged area
They should have added dlc like fallout. Thunderdome would have been interesting

I want an alternate ending were if you already beat the game you would get an ending where hope, chum, and the child all survive... AND THE BOSSFIGHT IS ACTUALLY HARD.
What I like to do after I beat the game was explore around whenever the dust storm comes just drive right into until I’m lost and try to get every crate and make it out, kinda like a makeshift deathrun

Everyone has a level 4 shotgun, but when you beat the game you get a level 5 shotgun
The second time I played the game (opened a new save slot and started over), they let you have Max's black jacket and the Level 5 shotgun right away. This saved a LOT of scrap-hunting the second time around, as I didn't need to upgrade Max's jacket or weapon.

the fun thing I found to do is the leave the car and explore as much as you can. during one of the first missions to get the magnum opus body you pass under several catwalk ramps the are mostly in accessible. I have found a couple different paths to get to them and it's a ton of fun
Hello, I am late on the game, but I love it
After I platnumed the game, I started a new game and bee-lined to Gas Town to get the V8. There's not a whole lot you need to do to get to it. just a couple requirements to get the jaw quest, and the way is open. However a little more has to be done to build the car needed to win over your partner for the big race.

I'd love them to do a need for speed type of game for Mad Max. A multiplayer online would be really awesome with the open world and such and maybe being able to build your own fortress and such.
Edit: I also like to find all of the jump spots and nitris off them.
Ur supposed to go back and forth between the wasteland missions and the story missions. That make its about 20-30 hrs but yea kind of a let down length wise to bad there won't be a second with all the different stats and mechanics they have. Probably will never see a nice combo of car and foot combat like it.
There is also a trainer that you can use to unlock all vehicle upgrades!

What I love doing is going into a fight by my self while the bad guys all have cars. Then when they all try to ram me at the same time, I roll dodge, then quickly grab out the shotgun and shoot the barrel on the back so they all blow up! So fun🙂

oh man i love ripping thru those dunes, high suspentions, no armor, no bumpers, just the big chief and me...and chum.
So I did all the side missions, picked up all the scraps, I have 100 percent completion on the entire map, did so before finishing the final mission. Was rewarded with a cool jacket and shotgun, as well as the Interceptor, but nothing to do with them. Besides chase down cars once in a while.
Can I start a new game with any of that gear? Or reset the enemies to fight again? I don’t think the creators had replay ability in mind when creating and finishing this game, which sucks cuz it’s a fun game. Would be cool to see another one made with more customizations options for the car and max, as well as updated combat, instead of seeing the same animation every time lol. Different moves give different animations but there’s only a few.
All that being said, it says I’m 95 percent done, but it says 100 percent unlocked for everything except the challenges. And if that’s the case I’m all set lol.
I wish they had bar games or something like in red dead redemption...or even have thunder dome tournaments

Free roam mode. Feel free to finish the game.

7:31, how's your car so elevated, I mean suspension doesn't seem to affect it, or does it..?
crad suspension slightly makes your car higher. And if you don't have any armour or bumpers it make it even higher due to less weight
How come chasing enemies during a storm was not one of the options? Or just drive during it and trying to sirvive?

I would love if they aded endless fight mode,endless drive mode (you get chased endlesly by cars on a endless road,replay a mision or convoy mision for fun.
just got this game and pushed car upgrades too early, finished all the convoys and now have no reason to upgrade my car🤦♂️
